Blackberry or iPhone?

The eternal question? I've had both a Blackberry and an iPhone at different times in my life and loved them both. The time has come for me to buy a new phone and I can't decide. Blackberry Bold or iPhone 4? They both would have the same monthly plan, but to buy the Blackberry would be €1 and the iPhone would be €99.95. So my question: is the iPhone worth the extra money or no?
Anyone with these phones care to weigh in?
Thanks in advance!

Two totally different experiences, I have a BB for work and it's great for email, but the app selection is meh... The wife has an iPhone and it rocks for everything else.
What about android? The Samsung Galaxy S II is nothing short of amazing.0 -
iPhone! I have never heard of anyone regretting an iPhone purchase. The iPhone4 is a lot better than the 3GS. It's faster and the camera is better, and the screen clarity is amazing!0
-
Also, to clarify, this phone would be mainly for work.
I've never had an Android phone, so I know almost nothing about their phones. Will take a look into them and see what's available in Germany. Just saw the Galaxy S II is €80.0 -
I've got the I phone 4 and I wouldn't change it for anything. Best phone i've ever had.0

Do not get a Droid! I am now on my 4th phone in 4 months! This one (Droid 3) actually has a REAL keyboard so at least I am spared the kookiness of the terrible virtual keyboard that routinely invents its own language... but... there is stil a lot of flakiness with apps disappearing, the screen freezing, the battery taking 24 hrs to charge.... : (0

One word...... IPHONE..
No choice. I had both and the Iphoine is far far better and worth the money!!0 -
I use a Blackberry for work...my wife and son have iPhones...
if I did not use my BB for so much email...I would be using a iPhone...
Plus the MFP app on iPhone is the most functional out of any of the 3 apps (iPhone, BB, Droid)0 -
iPhone. But wait til they launch iphone5!0

IPhone unless all your going to do is email all day then BB0

Phones and their operating systems are really a matter of personal preference and options. The IPhone has been a good choice for many but there are no options for it. If you want removable memory or a physical keyboard or a swappable battery, you're out of luck. You are also buying into the whole Apple ecosystem of ITunes and the appstore, etc. Apple will be taking your money for a good long time but you'll generally have a very good experience.
I personally like more choice so I went Android and have not regretted it for moment. It is generally an operating system that is better suited to a corporate environment than iPhone, and you have endless device options. Stay with the major manufacturers like HTC, Motorola or Samsung to get the best experience if you go this route. And the MFP app works great!
Blackberry is way behind on innovation and RIM is struggling as company. I wouldn't touch them.0 -
I had to make that choice not too long ago and I also opted for an android. I got the HTC Inspire and I love it. It was cheaper than the Iphone... Had the same functionality, an 8 megapixel camera (better than Iphone) and is 4G.0

I have both, had the I Phone for a week and absolutely love it ! loads better than a Blackberry x0

I'm in the Blackberry camp. I love it for work with it being so easy with e-mail, but I don’t think I miss out on the personal side either. It does everything I need. I have added a 32mb micro card so it has all the music I own on it, a few videos. I run and walk using the "Runtastic” app, log information on MFP and regularly use the free Blackberry maps, amongst other things.
If it's primarily for work, I'd go with Blackberry every time.0 -
Android 100 times out of 100 over either. You couldn't pay me to carry a Blackberry, and iPhone's, no thanks. I'll take a Droid any day, although the manufacturer matters. I will not get one from Motorola. HTC is the leader and it isn't even close. Samsung would probably be the distant second.0

Blackberry are rubbish these days, totally left behind hence the poor recent sales.
iPhones are fantastic no doubt about it, just I found the screen size too small (3.5" is way too small now compared to the competitors out there) and they are quite limited in the options and settings department.
I stuck with iPhones for a few years (iphone then iphone 3gs then iphone 4) and have since moved onto Android, not regretted it for a second as they do everything the iphones do only better! plus Android phones have MUCH better specs and choice, mine has a 4" screen and is the lowest I would go from now on, anything smaller and you suffer.
Android and iOS is where its at right now, both of those platforms pretty much own the smartphone market with Android now the most popular smartphone platform in the world.
Android --> iOS --> Windows 7 --> Crapberry0 -
I've never had either one of those phones, but based on my recent purchase of the iPod touch I'd say go with the iPhone. That is if we're going by product quality, and ease of use.0

I had a good experience using the Blackberry Curve a few years ago... the keypad was easier to use than the touchscreen functionality, I think. However, when my contract was up, I found a better rate with an Android phone and plan, and I'm very happy with that now. (HTC is a very good choice for Android... Motorola not good at all.) My brother had an iPhone and he absolutely hated just about everything about it (it would freeze up constantly, among other annoying things), so he ended up getting a Windows phone instead and he likes that a LOT better.0

I have the iphone 4 and I love it! i have never had any thing wrong with my iphone. so much to do on it when your bored. you can have you music, videos, movies, whatever you want on it.
I think it's wroth paying for the iphone 4.0 -
Loving my blackberry 9900, best phone on the market for productivity, plus it plays my movies, songs and podcasts without me having to use some program that slows down my pc (itunes).
I use mfp, and runtastic, otherwise apps arent as good on the berry but it makes up for it with everything else. Depends on how much you like angry birds.0 -
No one was a bigger BB advocate then I was a couple of years ago, but sadly they've fallen so far behind in both hardware and usability, that they're now irrelevant. Out of your two choices, definitely go with the iphone. However...
If you can swing it, Android is far, far superior to both of them.0 -
I have not had a Blackberry but I have had an iPhone. From playing with friends Blackberrys compared to my iPhone I would definitely say spend the money and get an iPhone. You can do a lot more with an iPhone and because so many people have them the app market will continue to grow. That being said I have an Android device now (Casio Commando-Dirt,Shock and Water Resistant!!) and would never go back to iPhone.0

Blackberry is dead...it just doesn't know it yet.0

I've had both I my vote goes to iPhone without a doubt. The blackberry is a good business phone. But all work and no play would be boring. Again I vote "iPhone!"0

iPhone x10000000000000000000
but id wait for the iPhone 5 to come out0 -
iPhone all the way!
I see loads of local adverts lately from people with BB's wanting to sell or swap for iPhone.
I use mine for work and personal use and don't know how I ever managed without it.0 -
I'd go with a Blackberry phone if it's for work. Honestly, I think it's more professional.
There's nothing wrong with the iPhone, though. I know tons of people who swear by the iPhone products.0 -

iPhone. I would be lost without mine x0

I have the BlackBerry 9850 Torch (full touchscreen) and love it. Used for both work and personal. I am not a huge app user (have a few like MFP, Endomondo, Poynt, BerryWeather, etc), and don't miss Angry Birds.
I also have an iPhone for work, and it's.....meh. I honestly wouldn't buy one for myself.
It all comes down to personal preference and what you want to do with the device.0
