My husband drove my car today. When I went to get in it a little while later, I fit!!! Usually, I have to move the seat back before I can get in. I yelled up to him (on our deck), “I fit!!!” He was so proud of me! He’s the BEST!37

Three! All in one day!
One. THE RED LEATHER JACKET IS MINE. The Dragonpants' hold is loosening on my closet. Not only does it fit well unzipped, but it fits well zipped. Inches lost, holllllaaaaaa!!! I'M ABOUT TO TAKE OUT THE DRAGONPANTS WITH MY SWORD OF AWESOME. (Also, today was weirdly cold so I got to WEAR the jacket out to dinner. #winning)
Ahem.
Second, went to spend my birthday gift card today and was definitely mostly a 6. Sometimes a (vanity) 4, and sometimes an 8 when I had to fight the legs.
Third, today I was down inches all over. Sometimes small (half inch) but sometimes big (2.5 inches). WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER! \o/
So overall, I'm gaining ground and about to hit the barrier that I got to when I stalled out the first time. But this year, I'm slaying the ultimate dragon: The Goal Dragon. There are many dragon bosses in between me and the goal, but I'm determined!
Tonight, however, I will bask in the glow of battles won. If I could bottle up this feeling for when the road gets rough again, I would.25 -
I wouldn’t do this but I’m so happy over this jacket that I have to add a picture.

Yay! Looks great7 -
@dhiammarath - just a bit jealous of that red jacket! Sounds like we are both about to reach that thorny barrier that's around our ultimate target. Due to complacency I too failed to penetrate it last time around. You get your axe out and I'll find the flame thrower. This ring of thorns needs to be decimated! Meanwhile, enjoy your bask in the rosy glow of the red jacket.9

@carnabee thank you!!
@motivatedmartha You’re on! We will forge a new trail! And be awesome! Good luck.8 -
I went to family party last night. My husband’s uncle ignored me and wouldn’t speak to me! Later on he came over and apologised. He explained that he hadn’t recognised me with my weight loss (73lb), and thought my husband had got a new woman friend! I was delighted and my husband was mortified.56

That is priceless! I love it.9 -
I wore a pair of shorts for the first time in almost 10 years the other day32

I quit drinking 3 months ago. To my surprise this allowed me to stop taking BP meds 3 weeks ago! I am med free. So stoked!
BTW - I was on BP meds for about 11 years.51 -

There's this hill that I've been eyeing up. It's a horrid one, the type that has a long gradual slope until you're about 300 yards from the top, then it appears to go vertically up. You know the sort. Plus it's a busy road with lots of side streets. Not great for bikes.
I've walked down it. I've walked up it.
I've walked down it pushing a buggy. I've walked up it pushing a buggy.
I've walked down it holding hands with a toddler. I've walked up it holding hands with a toddler.
I've run down it.
I've cycled down it (this was a little disappointing, didn't get to an interesting speed).
Today, I finally decided to heck with the traffic, I was going to cycle UP it.
So I did. I thought that I was going to die, especially as there's a bump near the top that you have to get over and then there's more to cycle up after that. Max HR was in the 170's. My RHR is about 55bpm.
But I made it. I don't think that I've ever felt so victorious. Man, it felt so good!
Next challenge: to run up it51 -
I've been trying on old clothes to see what fits again as I lose the inches, but there are the last couple of things you don't bother trying until everything else fits...
I just dug out the two smallest pieces of clothing I own, a dress and a skirt. Both bought years ago, neither ever worn as I didn't try them on in the shop and they were too small when I got them home - still got the tags on. They BOTH zip up! They aren't comfortable yet and not quite ready to wear out of the house but they actually close, I can't believe it.33 -
I successfully finished my part in the world’s biggest orienteering relay, and crushed my goals! My goal was to a) finish b) leave more people behind me than last year.
Last year I also finished, but was dead last with this other girl, my final position was second to last out of around 1500 ladies, and I wasn’t last only because my friends cheered me on to sprint the last few yards so I crossed the finish line before the girl I raced with.
Yesterday, I finished with an entire 15 people behind me (+ 3 who gave up or got injured, + 15 who were disqualified). This year there were no gimmicks with passing people on the final stretch, either. While I wasn’t able to run at all due to difficult terrain (not worth it to risk my ankles) and the heat that caused a mild heat stroke, but I FINISHED. And this is an orienteering race where the woman who has won TWENTY-THREE world championship gold medals only came in SECOND place. People are serious when they say this is a rare race where athletes of all levels compete together, and they really mean all levels.32 -

That is so fabulous. I was lying in bed last night and accidentally touched my collarbones. I'm like what are those? Where did they come from, LOL.16 -

I get up at the last possible minute I can in the morning to get ready for work and head out the door. Since I'm having a hard time working out in the evening with my current summer schedule, I figured I would give this get up early and work out thing a try. I set my alarm for 5:30am and I did not reset my alarm and go back to sleep! 3 snooze buttons later (lets be real here, lol) I found myself getting up and putting on work out clothes. That's right, I actually got up, and worked out. Before coffee even. The real victory will be doing it again, but I need to celebrate this small win today, lol.
Congrats to you! I'm not a person who loves exercise, so I like to get it over with early in the a.m. Once I'm out there, of course, it's great. Gorgeous outside and I'm feeling proud of myself. But can be hard to get going.6 -

Great work. I do not trust doctors in America - Big Pharma has a stranglehold on them. In my opinion - they would rather deal with the symptoms than the root cause. There is no money in fixing things. Anyway, end rant!
Doesn't it feel amazing to take control, maybe even if it is just a little bit, of something?15 -
I can reach to paint my toenails again!
