A couple of nights ago I was out having dinner out after a SUP social paddle. i only took up SUP paddling two or three months ago and have known the people I was with only 6 or 8 weeks. I mentioned a board I had tried and really liked. One of the other paddlers said "Yeah, but you're skinny. It doesn't have enough volume for a larger paddler." and a few others nodded in agreement. It's kind of cool how people I have met recently only see me as a fit person.21

I’m proud especially about the not-looking-pregnant part, since this was the first day I had the confidence to wear my horizontally striped bodycon dress, and this was in the afternoon three meals in.
This is huge! I know how different I can look after a few meals and wearing horizontal stripes.

Being able to buy XL clothes instead of XXL clothes!!28

This is an odd one, but I'll take it. I misjudged distance when walking around an ottoman in the living room and hit the wooden leg with my ankle, and it hurt like a you know what because my ankle bone sticks out and no longer has padding. Now if I can just lose the knee padding!12

I was at a family event recently and my 20 year old niece saw me and said, "Wow! You look great. And I'm not just saying that, you look soooo good!" I still have a long way to go but words like that keep me going!21

Just now, getting my kayak out so a friend can pick me up to go fishing in the morning. I look down in the yak - paddle and a life jacket, My son's life jacket because he used it last, I have to go grab mine because it is with my SUP stuff. Or do I? Tried it on and the S/M fit! Mine is a L.18

Losing knee padding sounds great until one night you role onto your side and something is hurting your knee aaaannnd.... it’s your other boney knee... lol win kind of, but now I need an extra pillow to sleep with... for my boney knees.

Yep same thing happened to me. And I don't dare sleep on my stomach anymore!!! It is missing a lot of the cushioning that made it a comfortable position.6 -
After 5 weeks battling the virus from Hell, my best mate dragged my sorry butt out for brunch and retail therapy this morning and, while we were out, she decided I was going to buy some clothes to replace the ones that are now way too big.
Tried on 22's. "Not a chance. Next size down, Ceej."
20's... "You'll be in the same boat in 3 months. Try an 18"
And low and be-freaking-hold... I'm in size 18's for the first time in 3 years.42 -
Found what looked like a Mother's Day gift (never received by me) from about two years ago. It was a piece of paper with sentences that the kids had to finish. One sentence was "My favorite memory of my mom is..." It was finished with "when I came home from school and she was so much skinnier." Ha! It didn't happen overnight, but apparently my son came home from school one day and I was skinnier. It's definitely going in my "keep" pile.32

Today I felt like I finally mastered the hundreds move in Pilates! My muscles were a bit stronger, I feel like I ‘get’ the exercise now, and my belly is smaller, so it doesn’t get in the way as much when I attempt it!15

I forgot to mention the other victory: I can now do a 1 minute plank again!19

I was measured for a bridesmaid’s dress in January. It was delivered today. I might need to get some alterations done.58 -
Paddled SUP 6.8 miles tonight after 2 miles of kayaking this morning, loading a trailer and hauling junk to the dump in between. I have so much more energy than I did before,13

I bought a t-shirt in size medium! Can't remember when I last thought to even try a medium16

Family went to Red Robin for dinner. Daughter #1 ordered chicken strips, apple slices, and water, daughter #2 ordered cheeseburger, broccoli, and water. So happy see them making healthier choices than fries and soda30

My husband drove my car today. When I went to get in it a little while later, I fit!!! Usually, I have to move the seat back before I can get in. I yelled up to him (on our deck), “I fit!!!” He was so proud of me! He’s the BEST!37

Three! All in one day!
One. THE RED LEATHER JACKET IS MINE. The Dragonpants' hold is loosening on my closet. Not only does it fit well unzipped, but it fits well zipped. Inches lost, holllllaaaaaa!!! I'M ABOUT TO TAKE OUT THE DRAGONPANTS WITH MY SWORD OF AWESOME. (Also, today was weirdly cold so I got to WEAR the jacket out to dinner. #winning)
Ahem.
Second, went to spend my birthday gift card today and was definitely mostly a 6. Sometimes a (vanity) 4, and sometimes an 8 when I had to fight the legs.
Third, today I was down inches all over. Sometimes small (half inch) but sometimes big (2.5 inches). WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER! \o/
So overall, I'm gaining ground and about to hit the barrier that I got to when I stalled out the first time. But this year, I'm slaying the ultimate dragon: The Goal Dragon. There are many dragon bosses in between me and the goal, but I'm determined!
Tonight, however, I will bask in the glow of battles won. If I could bottle up this feeling for when the road gets rough again, I would.25 -
I wouldn’t do this but I’m so happy over this jacket that I have to add a picture.

Yay! Looks great7 -
@dhiammarath - just a bit jealous of that red jacket! Sounds like we are both about to reach that thorny barrier that's around our ultimate target. Due to complacency I too failed to penetrate it last time around. You get your axe out and I'll find the flame thrower. This ring of thorns needs to be decimated! Meanwhile, enjoy your bask in the rosy glow of the red jacket.9

@carnabee thank you!!
@motivatedmartha You’re on! We will forge a new trail! And be awesome! Good luck.8 -
I went to family party last night. My husband’s uncle ignored me and wouldn’t speak to me! Later on he came over and apologised. He explained that he hadn’t recognised me with my weight loss (73lb), and thought my husband had got a new woman friend! I was delighted and my husband was mortified.56

That is priceless! I love it.9 -
I wore a pair of shorts for the first time in almost 10 years the other day32
