Time to shop for new shorts. I tried on all of mine from last summer. I had to retire most. Those that are left over will require a belt. Oh yeah!!!13

I did the monkey bars for the first time since I was a kid! I’m almost 40 and finally worked up enough upper body strength. Thought I’d just give it a try and was shocked as hell that I was able to do an out and back. Woohoo!18

Went out with my husband for dinner and shopping the day after my birthday and got so many compliments from strangers that he was laughing at me! Two people complimented my dress, at least three people complimented my necklace, I think it was five different people complimented my fingernails, one said I looked "adorable," when I was wearing sunglasses someone complimented my sunglasses, then I took them off and a lady complimented the color of my eyes, another lady refused to believe it could possibly be my 50th birthday and her friend said, "keep doing whatever you're doing." A guy said to my husband, "she's got her groove on tonight!"
I was wearing a nine dollar dress I picked up on clearance. Mostly the deal was, I was feeling good about myself, confident and happy, and that makes everything look good on. Very much different from the days of trying to find something in a store that wouldn't look too terrible on me.

My stretch-waist pants are getting a little ratty, so I decided to try on my regular pants that have been sitting there in the closet...and they fit! Now I have a whole new wardrobe!25

I am not sure if this is good or bad but I no longer can shop the Victoria secret semiannual sale for bras. I went from a common 36c to a hard to find and not available at VS 30d
Hi @amtyrell! Check out this page on the VS website: https://customerservice.victoriassecret.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/940/~/sister-sizing:-bras
You may have a sister size! I’ve been looking into sizing myself because I’m on the last set of hooks and the straps are as tight as they go and I’m having wardrobe malfunctions when I’m moving too much

I took a mini overnight road trip yesterday and today to see a concert in Nashville. I didn’t go over my maintenance calories once. Limited myself to one drink and two tacos at the bar last night & was not tempted into late night bbq after the concert.
I let my husband take pictures of me trying on silly hats and posing with Elvis in Nashville, and I didn’t feel self conscious. In fact, I liked how I looked, even though I’m not where I want to be yet. I’m really proud of how I handled this trip.

Finished week 5 of C25K. 5 min warm-up and cool-down, with a 20 minute run in the middle... I did it, ran (slowly, but ran) the whole thing. 2 months ago I couldn't run for longer than 2 minutes at a time.
Well done, it’s a great feeling.
I did the same last night. It’s such an amazing feeling. I’m still finding it hard to believe that I’m actually doing this and enjoying it!!!
Like yourself I took it nice and slow. I ran the whole 20 minutes, without stopping.
Keep up the good work😃

I had to take a week break from "running" because I had lasik surgery. Today I ran, and the first two minutes weren't painful at all. I've never run without pain* before (sad but true). If I keep this up, maybe someday I'll actually be able to run.
*Note: I usually don't suffer from joint pain or "unhealthy" pain, just my muscles and lungs complaining that they actually have to work.16 -

Yesterday, I had an epically frustrating miscommunication with my boyfriend about grocery shopping for the midsummer weekend, and I was feeling pretty sour all evening. The shopping didn’t get done, and I didn’t get the 30 minutes of walking that would have come from walking to the store and back. So, I decided to go for a quick 15-minute walk to cool off my mind, get some fresh air and at least a little bit of activity while our enchiladas were in the oven. The fact that this option even occurred to me in the first place is a win of its own, and the fact that I actually went is another.
Also, I felt a lot better both physically and mentally after the walk, hit my calorie burn goal for the day, and the enchiladas (tried a vegan version) were delicious.33 -
After wearing size 54 jeans for years, I just fit into size 38 jeans for the first time since junior high, 24 years ago49

Being in a changing room and being convinced they had “skinny mirrors” because I felt like I don’t look like that. But then at home I noticed that I was seeing the same thing !33

I put on a tight top this morning and noticed for the first time that I actually have a waist now!28

I got new bras, that are now 4 cup sizes smaller. I’m delighted.32

Great work, everyone! These are so inspiring to read!
I've been working very hard this week in my workouts, and doing really good with my nutrition. Today was a challenge though, because I had a lot of meetings and deadlines that were going to interfere with my routine. Given my lack of rest days and very stressful day, I thought it would be good to focus on tackling the stress instead. Normally that means a drive thru, a bag of popcorn, ice cream, and a zillion happy hippos...not today!!! Just one happy hippo did the trick and a big, juicy apple! I was able to use this workout rest day to refocus and recalibrate. I'm headed to bed with a under-calorie diary and a clear mind. I feel really balanced and in charge of things!!25 -
I went into Ardene's today because they have super cheap shoes. I found 2 fun pair.
I took a wander around looking at some of their clothes. A couple months ago I tried on an XL tank top but it made me look like a sausage stuffed in a casing. So I realized this place has smaller fitting clothes. (I wore XL for years so I felt like an expert.)
Today I saw a cute yellow summer top and thought oh perhaps I should try on an XL. It's so cute and I am smaller. I tried on the XL but it was too big. So when I grabbed the Large the medium hanger was caught on it so both tops came down. I thought meh I will just take both to the change room because Its too hard to reach all the way up there.
Low and behold the Large was too big! Guess who bought a medium?!
Shopping is quite fun when you are smaller. This could get dangerous.35 -
I have 2 finally!
1) My jeans were super loose today! I need to buy a belt.
2) My Chiropractor and massage therapist both noticed and commented on my weight loss and said they could feel the difference in the muscles in my back! I haven't been in pain in at least a month.25 -
Took a day off work to go away for a long weekend with my wife.
Still got up for a 5k run before heading off!!22 -

I was tracking with strava when I did a test paddle on longer SUP and got it up to 6.3 mph. Most I have done on my shorter one is 4.8.19

I can now wear clothing in the sizes available in trendy stores. No more awkwardly waiting while the staff try to see if they have my size somewhere in the back... the size that never existed.28

Week 6 on C25K. 2 - 10minutes runs between the walking. Didn't have to slow down once for the running part!14

I had the same issue, then my University's running coach taught me something: slow down! Slowing down so you can run longer is the trick to building speed and stamina. Counter-intuitive, but absolutely works. I would struggle with running for 4 minutes, within 3 weeks, I could run for 20 minutes. PS: my profile pic is a very accurate description of my running.17 -
My wife and I went out to eat last night. The server directed us to a booth where there was not much room between the table and seat. 5 months ago I would not have fit - and would have experienced an awkward moment. The NSV is I fit and avoided the embarrassment.38

I just bought a new bike - a Jamis Renegade. Love it. I picked up my old bike - a Jamis Allegro Sport (hybrid) from the shop after a complete tune up. I just gave that bike to my oldest son who is 28 and in great shape.
We are always competing and he usually wins. He wants to ride with me, but not just yet, because he is worried that he couldn't keep up. I think I will count this as a NSV win for me.24 -

Each time I have got down to this weight I have gained it back very slowly - this time (my 3rd attempt) I am hopefully better prepared for maintenance when the time comes. Last time I never quite reached my goal weight before becoming complacent. This time I will!
In another NSV... I have almost tamed the dragonpants. I can get into them, but I do not fit them for sure (too much pudge getting squeezed out). SOON. 5 pounds or so, I think.
THE DAY IS COMING THE DRAGONPANTS WILL BE SLAIN AND MINE ONCE MORE.
My DRAGONPANTS are white and skinny and have these awesome big bellbottoms and they
hang there taunting me. You will be slain Dragonpants!

At my gym yesterday morning, this beautiful blonde stopped me & complimented me on my weight loss (I'm down over 50 pounds), and she asked me how I did it, since she only sees me at the gym for about 15 minutes a day (I'm usually only there to stretch & shower). I told her about eating right & 9Round. Made my week17

My DRAGONPANTS is a size Small dress (juniors small) that was hanging on a Medium hanger in the misses department, I was not paying attention and got it as it's super cute and was the only one there (hmmm, wonder why). I can put it on, it's just really snug and not flattering (yet). I try it back on every 10lbs I lose. Last time I could finally zip it up.22
