HI @tiabirdie56 great loss this week.0 -
@rsamuelsgold, Thanks! I have been up and down the scale numbers in the past week. My usual due to water retention. I'm happy that it settled one pound down!
I have been on this current weight loss journey since August/September 2017. Even though I began to feel more comfortable in my clothing, I did not notice any obvious physical changes until March 2018. I took a selfie of me and my grandson and could not believe the change in my face. I looked so gaunt! No one had commented on my appearance and I just didn't see it in the mirror. The NSV I have to share is that last week, while doing grocery shopping, a lady, unknown to me, was asking me about the cilantro in my cart, how I used it. Then commented on how it was probably helping to keep me "skinny" I was really taken by surprise by her comment. Lol. I am by no means skinny, scale wise. I still have 60 more pounds to lose. It made me feel good.1 -

Wow @tiabirdie56 that's a wonderful NSV.
No one's journey is the same. The 4, 8, 12 thing helps me stay consistent because I just need to make it through one week. Just one. I often feel overwhelmed when I think about how far I still have to go. But if I can make it through one week and another and another then eventually I'll look back and be like wow see how far I've come.0 -
@rsamuelsgold, You will be successful. I have a similar mindset on weightloss. Mine is 10 lbs at a time. Its a short term achievable goal. If I had to think every day about losing 100 pounds, I'm sure I would have strayed during these past 10 months. I've lost 57 lbs so far.1

@rsamuelsgold, Thank you. Nice loss for you too!
Last week's NSV: On Friday, I wore a pair of 100% woven cotton pants that I have not had on for at least 10 years. AND, they had room in the thigh area and loose in the waist!1 -

@tiabirdie56 wow. Now that's a terrific NSV.0 -
Dear Group Members,
Someone is the thread is hitting "woo" on people's posts. Just to let you know that the "WOO" button on MFP is not a positive thing, (like woo hoo) it's a negative thing more like a boo. So it would be better if you could go back and change your "woo"'s to something else.
Sorry to update you about this - and it's controversial that MFP has such a feature, but you might like to know what the button actually means
@rsamuelsgold2 -
@eminater, I always wondered why MFP included that as a response on the forums.1

Oh my word. Thanks for the update. I truly thought it was woo hoo.0
