Goal is to lose at least 2 lbs each round. Hopefully at least 3 lbs this round but we shall see.
I started last round but hurt my back 2 days in and was almost completely stuck to the bed/couch for a week. So I’m starting this again!
Day/Weight/Comment
6/17 - 128.8
6/18 - 126.3
Ate well and within range, worked out too. Felt super good to start moving again.
6/19 - 125.4
I’m waiting for the water weight loss to stabilize. Of course less sugar and carbs helps kick start the start of eating healthier! Ate at my BMR yesterday and wish I could be at a deficit but still a good day. Couldn’t work out yesterday too much but going to workout right now.
6/20 - 125.4
Worked out yesterday and ate within my budget.
6/21 - 124.2
Still loosing water weight, which is good but need to keep at it when it all starts to stabilize and loss is not as progressive anymore! Will be working out today and cauliflower pizza for dinner tonight! Hopefully I do not ruin the progress with anything too sweet.
6/22 - 124.2
I’m happy with that. I hope it holds and doesn’t go up and down and on. Hopefully I can finish this round with this weight and I’d take that as a win!
6/23 - 123.4
Yay but let’s see if this sticks! A lot of walking and standing up yesterday. Ate well too.

6/19 - 65kgs - Not surprised. Went away for a 4 day holiday and ate everything in sight! Hoping this is water weight.
6/20 - 63.9kgs - Hoping there will be more water weight to lose since I was 62.8kgs on 15/06/18.
6/21- 63.9kgs. So this morning I received a message from close friend asking if I wanted to do a challenge to eat or exercise better or both but shes putting her foot down about this. She asked me wouldn't i want to look good for the wedding? I know she meant well but when I jokingly asked ‘dont i look good already?’, she said she just wanted to help me be disciplined since she noticed how many cheese platters Ive had and that I gained 2 kgs over our 4 day weekend away. I get it. I didnt help myself during the weekend but to be honest, I was letting go of the weight loss goal because I'm happy. I fit into my old clothes. I can buy clothes confident about my size. Now I”m not because I’m doubting myself. You know when people think theyre skinny when in fact their not? Until they look back at their old photos and realised how big they were? I’m worried that I might be at that stage where I’mactually fat, and when I do look back later on, I wish I lost weight.
6/22
6/23
6/24
6/25 - 64.3kgs. Definitely will not be getting to my target weight. Not sure why?? But sayign that i’m not disciplined with my food. I decided to measure myself this morning as well, and my waist measurement is still the same as when I was 62.6kgs a month ago. So either I’m bloated or gaining muscles? I measured waist only as that is the first place to gain weight.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/17 - 166 - Considering my giant drop to end the round yesterday, I'm very happy with this weight.
6/18 - 166 - I hopped on the scale several times this morning. It bounced up to 167 once, but since it showed 166 3 times, that is what I'm going with. I had a lot of sodium this weekend so I'll be drinking my water today.
6/19 - 165 - Yay, nice to see this number again. I'll see how long it lasts, but at least it's a downward trend.
6/20 - 165 - I'm really happy that yesterday was not a fluke. It's been 11 years since I've been at this weight. I told my husband this morning that I'm only 10 pounds from our wedding weight. I cautioned him though, that there's going to be a difference between a 37 year old and a 54 year old at the same weight, so don't get too excited!
6/21 - 165 - I don't think I've held a weight for 3 days before. I'm usually bouncing up and down. I'll take it and am starting to hope that I'll see a 164 in the near future.
6/22 - 164.5 - I'm happy! Now I have lunch with a client today at a new Italian restaurant. I'm not going to stress over the likely bump tomorrow because I have to try the chicken parmesan everyone raves about. This past month and a half of challenges and daily weigh ins have given me a lot of insight into how I lose weight and how to be accountable when I inevitably, occasionally, overeat.
6/23 - 165 - Here's the bump, but that half a sandwich was fantastic! In the meantime, I re-saved my settings in MFP and due to my weight loss, it seems I now have 130 calories less to eat a day to maintain a 1 pound a week weight loss. Yikes!
6/24 - 165 - I'm just riding this out. I hope to see 164.5 again for Tuesday.

Round 43 report: Logged 9/10 days, 4/5 cardio workouts, 4/5 mini-strength workouts. Maintenance at 125-130 holding steady.
Round 44 GOAL = Log every day. Get 5 cardio workouts. Get 5 mini strength workouts. Continue to EASE back down to lower part of maintenance zone.
6/17 - 128.6 - Yesterday worked in garden and on housecleaning, 11K steps, under calories.
6/18 - 128.2 - Yesterday abandoned good sense and restraint. The lack of fitbit sync I was experiencing over the weekend did not help my poor attitude, nor did lack of running from my running buddy (hubs) nor my insistence on trying to mastermind things that I have no power over, including other people's feelings. Just an emo day that I wish I had handled better. OTOH, the first batch of zucchini bread I made out of our garden was extremely great -- however that did not help my day fitness or diet wise either lol.
6/19 - 127.6 - Yesterday under maintenance calories, 12K steps including 4 mile run which felt great in spite of the wind.
5/20 - 127.0 - yesterday a bit over maintenance calories, 10K steps and a good strength workout. I have taken to doing body-weight and resistance band strength with circuits of stepping high in place while watching sportsball with the hubs. Up to two sets of 10 pushups from the toes, so that's not nothing.
6/21 - 128.4 - yesterday about 300 over maintenance calories, but 14K steps in yard and house work and a nice 40 minute elliptical workout. Not worried about the weight "gain", for reasons I cannot confess except on TMI Tuesday... HINT: IT'S NOT FAT
6/22 - 128.0 - yesterday I lost my cookies. Or actually found them. Ironically the vending machine cookies that I ate while back at work at 9PM, and while also avoiding company that are fine people but not well known to me and a little intense thereby making my house not feel like mine, and who unintentionally in "trying to get to know me" in the nicest way raised those family discomforts and angst that I have been dealing with --- those vending machine cookies were branded "Sweet Serenity" in a cosmic joke so bad I should have choked laughing while eating them. Instead I went back for more.
So over calories, no workout, and completely aware that I still can binge-eat. Thanks universe, I get it.
6/23 - 128.2 - yesterday under maintenance calories, 10K steps including a couple miles of walking in the evening.
6/24 - 128.6 - yesterday under maintenance calories, 8K steps, super hot day.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/17 - Sunday - 197.6 - worked hard yesterday to find a happy medium between what I wanted and what I had calories for. Another day of being mindful while still enjoying life. I expect my usual Monday gain before any more losses. Really had to think about goals last night. I'm so happy with my progress so far. I decided to plan for 1lb/week over the next 15 weeks giving me til around November 1st. I updated my goal in Libra and it put my trend goal date around mid September at my current rate. So, I have room for life to happen within my goal timeframe. Feels really empowering to be planning for the next 4 months after a successful 2 months. I am committed to my health!!!
6/18 - Monday - 199.8 - Whoa what a gain! It's a just a hair over my trend line on the upside but this is about progress, not perfection. Not sweating it. I logged everything. But more importantly I ENJOYED everything. Sometimes lately I've been feeling bad about eating certain things - not physically - but guilty - which takes the joy out of food and other moments. So yesterday I had a plan to stay within calories, but we happened upon some BEAUTIFUL broccoli rabe and DH had to make pork and rabe sandwhiches - they were otherworldly. Also picked up some fragrant fresh picked strawberries - was going to have a just a handful - but MIL brought over freshly baked shortbread and I had coolwhip - so after a long day we enjoyed strawberry shortcakes. For me, food really is to be enjoyed - fresh, homemade, healthy food in moderation. And heck, even moderation in moderation! So yesterday was a win for me! Been doing well taking my supplements too! Back to work for another successful week! Forgot my blender bottle at work over the weekend so just a hard boiled egg and a nectarine for breakfast today. Leftover quinoa bowl for lunch with added black bean burger. Plans to order out to avoid record breaking heat tonight and alleviate stress after a super late night at the laundromat last night - going to prelog now so I know what will work best!
6/19 - Tuesday - 198.6 - I'm figuring this out! Chinese food take out last night - but made good choices; half a spicy salmon roll, order or pork steam buns and half order wonton in spicy chili oil. I was able to make those smart decisions because right before I left work, even though at the moment I wasnt hungry, I had a quick protein shake to hold me over. Good thing, I would have been ravenous come dinner time and ordered a ridiculous amount of food and binged. I noticed that my new fish oil supplement is actually putting me over my calorie goal. I got the liquid version for better % and absorption, but its 40 cals/serving twice a day - so that will take some adjusting to - eating almost 100 cals less a day to fit that in - but I'm not forcing it right now. I'm happy that I'm creating a new habit and hopefully improving my numbers, the food will adjust as I figure out how to not be hungry on 100 cals less.
6/20 - Wednesday - 199.0 - Still on target for downward trend - thank goodness for Libra (weight trend tracking app), it keeps me focused on the bigger picture. Went for a walk last night, cleaned the kitchen, did a grocery store trip to get necessities to continue on the right path. Had taco bell cantina bowl for lunch yesterday because not much in the house, it fit in the calories for the day and 200mg over sodium - this is actually a decent fast food option at 500 cals. Buger and salad for dinner. Today I have my smoothie, packed a delicious homemade chefs salad, and working on my water early! Forgot my fish oil this morning, but remembered to take b-complex to work to add to morning routine - it's a process but I feel the routine becoming habit! Prelogged breakfast and lunch. No plan for dinner yet, but I took out a chicken breast and we have tons of veggies to grill or saute so no excuses, cooking dinner at home tonight!
6/21 - Thrusday - 197.6 - There it is again! Woohoo! Tried a new recipe for chicken cordon bleu casserole last night, delicious w/a side of zuchini. I had to eat slowly and mindfully because it was a rich recipe with a smaller volume per serving. I was full by the end of dinner. I have the leftovers + rice for lunch. Plan to have half breakfast shake in AM and half for snack after lunch (I never finish it in the morning so trying something new). Usually dinner is my high calorie meal but lunch is this today, so planning on grilled chicken and salad for dinner. We have some gardening chores to do tonight as well so some fresh air and physical activity will be great! Happy Summer!
6/22 - Friday - 196.8 - A new number! A little less than 3 months into this journey and the biggest change - I AM HAPPY. It's not the weight loss, it's the way I'm fueling my body that seems to be improving my overall mood. Less mood swings, PMS is manageable not scary, I don't feel deprived of anything, I'm not guilting myself about the things I eat, I'm communicating better. Basically, I've improved a LOT of habits, not just my eating and that is SO satisfying to me. Plans to go out to lunch today, checked out the menu and will probably have either salmon ceasar salad or fish tacos (baked with coleslaw side). I'm going to try to order more fish when we go out because we don't cook it enough at home. Lunch was a last minute plan and we usually order out on Friday night at home, so I don'y have anything out for dinner. But I'm getting better at winging it and making it work - so I won't stress! Happy Friday!
6/23 - Saturday - 194.8 - later than usual weigh in. Don't expect that number to stick arond but cool to see it. Was worried yesterday would be a bust but had homemade dinner at MIL and ice cream at home and stayed within calories. Have a party today so taking today as my 20 to enjoy, since I can't plan for what will be there I will just enjoy the day! More leg cramps waking me up grrr...
6/24 Sunday - 196.8 - made reasonable choices at the party. Surprise anniversary dinner a late night good truck we love so yesterday was one to be enjoyed - I tracked it anyway and it's the first time I have been over maintenance calories so cest la vie! A weird eating day today too but closer to deficit than maintenance. I wanted to order fettucini Alfredo out but I made it homemade to save some cals but needed up eating a bunch of biscuits as well so no savings there! Did get out and walk today!

I'm still logging everything and weighing daily but not doing well on calories or exercise and I'm up a few pounds. I was going to start again on this challenge at the start of the next round but figured there's no time like the present.

6/16--178.2
6/17--176.2 That's more like it!
6/18--175.6 Yes please! This is how I was hoping to end the last round. Better late than never! Now let's see if I can make it stick...
6/19--176.4 Well okay. Yesterday was a serious food day. I've noticed that the week after TOM is when I really want to eat everything in sight. I also reached a point yesterday where I just did not want to log everything. Like, I was done. So I stopped--and I was okay with it. The thing is, I'm trying to change my lifestyle and my habits for the rest of my 50 or so years on this planet. Part of that is being okay with not counting and logging all of my calories, because that's not what I want to do every day, forever. So I just went with it. This morning I got up, weighed in, and logged all those calories from yesterday that I didn't feel like logging. And I'm doing just fine! Back on track today and no regrets
6/20--176.8
6/21--177.2 Still bouncing around from the last couple days of overeating. Not worried, other than the fact that I'll be camping all weekend and won't have access to the same healthy food options as normal. Gotta make it work!
6/22--177.4 Argh. I decided to look at my average weight from each round and it's comforting to see that there IS a downward trend; its just at a glacially slow pace. I'm so frustrated with seeing 177 and it's funny, when I went back through older rounds, I was so excited to finally see 177! Puts things in perspective Will be leaving tonight to go camping with no access to a scale or Internet, so my goal is just to not gain over the weekend. I'd say we're going to be active and hike, but it's supposed to be cold the whole time so I think we'll probably just be huddled around a campfire.
6/23--Camping, no scale
6/24--Camping, no scale. Got back from camping this afternoon--it was fun but cold and wet. It literally rained nearly nonstop from Friday evening until this morning. What is there to do when it is cold and raining but sit around the campfire and eat? I'm afraid of my weigh in tomorrow, I really am.....

6/19- 196.5 Ate at deficit but still higher than desired.
6/20- 195.5 Ate better today though. we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning.
6/21- 195.3 at least it's going down. I was barely under my calorie goal yesterday. I'm going to make sure to eat healthily today. So far so good.
6/22- 194.1 Yay!! Happy about this number this morning. I was under deficit but a little over my calorie goal so I thought I wouldn't make much progress but here we are! Today I got burgers and fries with my brothers though but not planning on eating much for the rest of the day so hopefully scale won't fluctuate up too bad. We'll see! Goal for this round is 192. I don't know if I can get to it in 4 days but I sure will try!
6/23- 193.0 Woohoo! Really excited about this number. Maybe I will reach 192 after all? I made sure not to eat anything heavy or calorie dense after the burgers so I guess that's key to all of this. Also, had a pretty intense work out yesterday.
6/24- 193.0 I walked A LOT today at the theme park so hopefully the scale will go down? I don't know. But what I do know is that I'm exhausted. Hope the rice I ate won't make me fluctuate up instead!

Lets hope at the end of the 5 weeks I'll start liking excersising and my body is a bit better formed! So Yesterday was workout 1 with Tracy Reifkind with 200 swings in 20 minutes.

For those who don’t know, I started last week watching my 3 year old and 7 year old during the week...I’ll be doing home on weekends. It’s going to be till September. The first week we had a blast, even though by Friday sleeping in my own bed helped me get recharged for this week.....
That's full on Jackie. Lol! Thanks for setting up the next round. the kite!

6/17 - Traveling
6/18 - 156.8 - A huge win as I was unable to weigh myself over the weekend and we had many meals out as we were on vacation. Getting back to my normal routine today and trying to get plenty of water in.
100 days of logging today!
6/19 - 155.8 - Lots of swimming yesterday with my kids, no snacking, back to IF and plenty of water. Just need to work on how late dinners are. We get so caught up doing stuff outside it's 7-8:00 before we even think about cooking something. Overall yesterday was a good day though, plan on continuing the goodness right on through this round.
6/20 - 154.8 - Would love to cruise right on out of the 150s this round but also would be extremely happy with the number I'm at right now too.
6/21 -154.0 - My round goal! I didn't do anything to deserve this besides eat a little under calories. My steps were horrible and I didn't exercise, won't be surprised if it increases tomorrow but will step it up today and hopefully it'll stick around.

6/25 - 155.4 - No surprise here, camp food and not enough water. Got plenty of walks and swimming in though so going to drink lots today and hopefully see that low number again tomorrow.

6/25 - 164 - I hope this sticks, I hope this sticks, I hope this sticks!!!

17-Jun 264.4 Too much soda yesterday
18-Jun 265.6 Ate within my macros and stayed under my calorie goal so I blame the gain on monthly water retention.

20-Jun 265.4 Dinner out at a restarant that is famous for it bread and I skipped the bread!
21-Jun 264.0 Didn't eat much during the day and I indulged in soda in the evening so I guess the two evened out.

23-Jun 264.6 Funeral dinner yesterday so the choices weren't stellar.
24-Jun 264.6 Out to eat twice yesterday. Makes good food choices more difficult but I think I mostly did alright. I did indulge in soda, though, which isn't my frriend.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/17- 237.2 Only .2lbs off my weekly loss goal. Also down .4lbs from yesterday’s R43 EW. Went to BFF’s birthday party with Asian food and skipped all the noodles and carbs. Didn’t have cake. Didn’t miss it. Woohoo!
6/18- 236.8 Readjusted my goals and calories budget decreased by 200 calories. Not worried about it though since I’ve been consistently logging below budget. I have a nagging worry in the back of my mind that this big weight loss at the beginning of my journey won’t stick. I’m at about 13lbs in 3 weeks with just sticking to 1500 calories. No exercise yet because I’m waiting for clearance. I feel like I’m cheating somehow.
6/19- 237.2 Didn’t have to get on the scale to know there would be a gain today. Too much sodium, not enough water. Bloated and crampy today. AF still a no-show. Meh.
6/20- 236.2 Not sure what to think. AF finally decided to visit. I forgot how painful and uncomfortable it is. At least it confirms my suspicion for the gain yesterday. Don’t know how this round will play out. I’ve never tracked my weight during before. Ate at a deficit and was vigilante about drinking water. Bridal shower luncheon for a good friend/coworker today. I’m budgeting my calories for the chocolate cake.
6/21- 236.6 AF is not a pleasant visitor. Cramping and cravings. Note to self: STAY THE COURSE. Your body will catch up eventually. 3-4 more pounds and I’ll have lost the equivalent of my 5 month old.
6/22- 236.2 4Cs= cramps, cravings, chocolate, and chips. Positive note: still down 1 lb since start of round.
6/23- 237.0 Had a mental health day yesterday. Shopping, hair cut, lunch out with friends, and mani/pedi with complimentary mimosa. Not a great food choice day but just what I needed to recharge. No Regerts.
6/24- 236.2 Third time logging this weight during this round. Hopefully it’s the charm and it’ll stay. Rough night with the kids and late weigh in this morning. Good food choices yesterday and did some cleaning/moving furniture. Researched TDEE and macros. Adjusted on MFP and hope I did it correctly.
6/25- 237.4 May be still paying the price for my mental health day. Just. Keep. Swimming.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/17 - 170.8 - TOM will fall within this round but I’m still hoping to have more success than the last round!
6/18 - 171.0 - TOM and wayyyy too much Chinese food yesterday for Father’s Day
6/19 - 169.6 - yay! Let’s see if I can actually get (and stay) below 169.0 this round...
6/20 - 168.6 - trying not to get too excited by this yet. Wasn’t feeling well yesterday so ate very little. I bet a day or normal eating today will see an “increase” tomorrow
6/21 - 167.8 - squee! Going out for pub dinner and drinks tonight so this will be short lived...but it’s the lowest number I’ve seen on the scale in probably 8+ years!
6/22 - 168.2 - thought I’d see a huge increase so this is a relief
6/23 - 167.4 - this number was amazing to see! Have a birthday party tonight and will probably see an increase for a few days after
6/24 - no scale - had several too many drinks for my sisters birthday last night and am paying the price today! No scale to weigh in probably a good thing today!
6/25 - 170.0 - this is most likely a lot of water weight due to salty food, not exercising, and somehow still feeling the party drinks

6/17 - 189lbs – happy father’s day to all.
6/18 – 191lbs – what a fathers day, food, cocktails , and live music, what a lazy day.
6/19 – 193lbs - very stressful day and didn’t get to eat till after 9pm. Also eat horrible. Could be a bad week!!
6/20 – 190lbs – ate unhealthy crap all day. 1000 calories over maintenance. worked and fished hard yesterday. 5 hours sleep.. 6/19 weight gain was probably the 2 jars of pickles I eat on Monday.
6/21 - 193lbs – lunches have been way to unhealthy the last 2.3 days. Still I knew this was going to be a crazy week.
6/22 - ??? to much work to do this week. Not dieting or stepping on the scale today
6/23 – drank away the stressful week of work. On my way into work again on a Saturday, I do like the building empty. Think I will work Sunday also. I really need to get caught up. I did get on the scale late this morning and it was not pretty. Entertaining sub-contractors most of the week is not good for my diet.
6/24 – 194lbs – should have gone to work today but got lazy.
6/25 – 194 – ate okay yesterday but didn’t do much of anything.

This makes no sense to me at all. My calories yesterday were a bit higher than normal, but my 10-day averages for quite a while have been at or below my maintenance level, so at worst I should be holding steady. I've been walking at least an hour 3 -5 times a week, drinking lots of water.... I occasionally have a high-sodium day, but mostly keep within bounds. My macros average out regularly to C 40-55, F 25-35, P 20-25, so I don't see a problem there. Bah!
I'm thinking of not weighing in daily this round - it's makin' me crazy - or of looking only at my running ave weight from Happy Scale instead of daily fluctuations, which might make me slightly less disappointed. How can my weight not only not go down, but go up, eating fewer calories the past 3 weeks than I was eating for months before while maintaining the same weight? Makes no sense at all. Short of extreme diets, anyone have any suggestions based on experience?
06/18 - 151 (HS 149.9) - 1612 - 10-day ave 1466
I had a mild "don't care" yesterday and went slightly over calorie goal, but all healthy food, and under my estimated TDEE (maintenance). I'm still thoroughly confused by this uptick, but I'll just ride it out. So much for crunching the numbers! Maybe it is partly the heat - we've been under a heat advisory for 3 days, so I'm drinking gallons of water and not getting as much walking (I had heat stroke years ago and am prone to getting sick in severe heat, so I don't take any chances).
06/19 - 151 (HS 150) - 1485 - 10-day ave 1471
Sigh. But...I joined the Y yesterday and am getting my hair cut short today - those take care of my excuses for not getting my butt moving. The hair is because my goal is to swim laps 20-30 min 3 mornings/week and need quick-dry and no wrap-around-the-head locks. Ha! Other goals @ Y - Flex/Stretch and Yoga classes 2-3 days and weights 3 days, and out-and-about 60 min or longer walks most evenings. This is all doable (with time for other things I love - painting, dog training, reading, hubby, and - oh yeah! - writing & teaching [also known as work]), because I used to do this. I just need to re-form the habit of putting my health first. I'm also beginning to think I've cut my calories too low and it's counterproductive, so am raising my calorie goal to1450, which is half way between MFP's and SailRabbit's maintenance numbers for me. I'll eat at maintenance and see what happens with the added activity. And I'll relax and remember that I weigh 68+ pounds less than I did 3 years ago, 5 less than a year ago, and that I've been hanging out within 3 pounds for months. Although I'm technically overweight, I'm healthy and look pretty good, my BP is down to 120/78 without meds, and the rest of my blood work is dead normal. So I'm switching to a more positive view of where I am rather than whining about those pesky 20 pounds. They'll go eventually. And once again, thanks so much for this forum, all of you but esp. @GrandmaJackie for keeping it going. Just writing things out like this, and reading feedback and other people's "reports from the field" helps tremendously.
06/20 - 150.2 - 1185 - 10-day ave 1446
I couldn't get onto the forums this morning, so I'm late, I'm late.... I didn't mean to eat so little yesterday, I just wasn't hungry so didn't force it. For a long time I've worked hard to hit my "minimums," and that's just as silly as having a breakdown over one high-cal day. As long as things average out over 7-10 days, I'll go with that. (It's the new, more relaxed me ).
06/21 - 149.4 - 1232 - 10-day ave 1432
Okay then. Maybe that uptick is trending down. I won't hold my breath, but am happy to see this.

I'm really not trying to cut my calories below 1450, but am eating what I want to be satisfied and hit my protein goal and find I come out this way. I have consciously stopped my afternoon snacks -- I used to eat ~250 mid-afternoon -- because I was finding that I had to cut back on good dinner foods. The first few days I really wanted my snacks, but now, not so much. I think cutting back on the snacks has not only cut my calories, but also cut my cravings. Anyway, I finally have my 10-day averages circling my goal and I'll be interested to see how that plays out over the rest of R44 and R45. I'd really like to break out of the 49s!!! I'd like to make a couple of line graphs of calorie averages and weight to see where they overlap and diverge. But nah - I'm obsessive enough about the numbers. Have a healthy, healthful weekend, all!
06/23 - 148.4 - 1178 - 10-day ave 1407
Finally trending in the right direction. I expect bounces, but at least I'm losing again. Today I plan to eat a few more calories - don't want a pattern of being as low as yesterday - but I'm really just eating lots of veggies & lean protein and I'm quite satisfied, so some low days shouldn't mess too much with my metabolism.
06/24 - 148.8 - 1820 - 10-day ave 1446 - 7 day ave 1393
The only surprise here is that the uptick wasn't more - pizza for late lunch/early dinner yesterday and a bit of a snack attack last night but good stuff!). I could still see a rise in the next couple of days from this, but my 10-day and 7-day averages are fine so I'm not worried for the long run. The rain has stopped and I'm off for a long walk on our beautiful river greenway. Enjoy your Sunday!
06/25 - 149.8 - 1564 - 10-day ave 1462 - 7-day ave 1387
There's the bump from Saturday. That's fine. Average calories are where I want them, & macros are good on average. Gardening, walk, and Flex & Stretch class on the agenda today.

This is my 1st round. I've been really struggling with my weight the last month, yo-yo-ing up and down the same couple of pounds. Hope these 10 days can get me back on track.
Start Weight: 171 (Female, age 48, 5'4")
Ultimate Goal Weight: 139
Goal for This Challenge: 3 lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
6/17: Weight = 171, I didn't track calories today and had too many salty/carby snacks + Margaritas at Father's Day cook-out
6/18: Weight = 172, I expected a bump up from yesterday but this is a hard number for me, it is the highest I've ever weighed. BUT, I have a plan for the day and feel confidant. I am starting The Betty Rocker 30 Day Challenge, which is different body weight exercises each day and will loosely follow her meal plan. I plan to follow her general eating guidelines just not her actual meal plans all the time.
6/19: Weight = 169, Yesterday was a good day! I completed the day 1 exercises from the 30 day challenge and ate within my calories, hit my macros, and followed the meal plan guidelines: Protein and fruit/veg at every meal, carbs with breakfast and the meal after exercise (which for me was dinner since I worked out in the afternoon), ate every 2-4 hrs, limited dairy and was gluten-free, drank lots of water. Feeling great so far, I will never see the 170's on my scale again!
6/20: Weight = 169, Yesterday was great until the afternoon. I did day 2 of my 30 day challenge workout and ate the 1st two of my scheduled four meals according to plan but then had a stressful afternoon/evening with my daughter (she was having an anxiety attack) and missed my 3rd and 4th meals all together. It was 9 p.m. by the time she was settled and I hadn't eaten since 12:30. I wasn't up for starting to cook at that hour and needed to eat something quick so I just made a sandwich and took to my bed to watch some mindless Bravo shows with a glass or two or Pinot Grigio. I logged those calories this morning and went over my calories by 350 and they were off plan but I'm okay with that. Everything in moderation, and I'm glad I maintained my weight and didn't go into a full binge eating from the stress.
6/21 Weight = 168.6 Yesterday was pretty good. I completed day 3 of my 30 day challenge workout and it was called full body explosion which I definitely feel in my lower body day! Today's workout is yoga which I think is much need to stretch this body out after the past 3 days. Food wise, I loosely followed the challenge meal plan for the 1st two meals of the day, skipped the 3rd meal (usually a late afternoon snack) and then was able to fit in dinner out without going over my calories.
6/22 Weight = 167.2 I'm down 1.4 lbs. from yesterday but not sure that is a real drop. I weighed in late this morning + I missed dinner last night due to going to the movies but was still in an acceptable calorie range and wasn't hungry when I got home. I'm trying to do intermittent fasting when possible, so an 8 hour eating window and 16 hr fasting. The latest I can push breakfast without being hungry is 10:30 a.m., so that means I have to finish my last meal by 6:30 p.m. the day before. I feel like doing this has (so far) really got me in control of my hunger. Before I was CRAZY hungry all the time. Fueling my body with protein/fruit/veg at every meal and spacing my carb intake to specific times is probably helping with this as well. I completed day 4 of my 30 day challenge workout yesterday and the yoga definitely helped, feeling much less sore this morning! But the biggest positive of yesterday is...I did not have anything at the movies!! I even looked up the calories beforehand and could fit a 1/2 of a small popcorn into my calories but passed and instead had hummus and veggies before I went! Have a great weekend everyone
6/23 Weight = 166.2 Another late morning weigh-in, but still great to sleep in! Yesterday was a good food day, I ate according to my meal plan and felt satisfied, not deprived, and hunger was controlled. Still struggling to get 4 meals in but am happy with the 3 I had. I completed day 5 of my exercise challenge and it was a cardio Tabata style workout, not going to lie, it was hard! Lots of jumping. In the afternoon, I took my daughter to a trampoline park and I jumped as well to get an extra calorie burn.
6/24 Weight = 166.4 A little blip up. A did everything right yesterday, lots of exercise, ate well within my calories, drank plenty of water. I think this is just a bit of an bounce from the previous 2 days' late weigh-ins. This is probably the more accurate number. I'll be back to my normal weekday 7:00 a.m. weigh-ins tomorrow, which will give a more accurate number. I completed day 6 of my 30 day exercise challenge yesterday which was upper body + got in a short run. I am doing my measurements every 5 days and today was that day. The biggest change was in my waist, which is where I usually lose 1st. Unfortunately, where I want to see the change is my face & chest and those are the last places I lose. But determined to get there. Stay strong everyone, we're in the home stretch of this challenge!
6/25 Weight= 165.8 So this marks my one week re-commitment to weight loss + returning to healthier eating habits and exercising to get strong not skinny. I lost a little over 6 pounds this past week which is bananas and I'm sure most of it is water weight. I expect my weight loss to slow WAY down this week. To hit my goal in the time planned, my hoped for loss is in the 1.7-2 lbs per week range. Just have to stay focused! I completed day 7 of my 30 day exercise challenge yesterday which was a lower body workout, so hard! But, boy do I feel accomplished when I complete these, who knew 15 minutes could be so tough!! Wishing a everyone a great start to this new week, let's make it a good one

I am in. I am truly struggling. Not logging regularly and traveling a lot with no scale. Working out regularly but the eating thing is a challenge. Hopefully, Round 43, I will get better about being mindful.

6/21 - 191 - I am planning to drink a lot of water today and be more conscious about what I eat. I have to start somewhere.
6/22 - 189.7 - Ran for 20 minutes and drank a gallon of water yesterday but I also had wine and carbs at lunch with friends. Balance?
6/23 - 190.6 - A lot of eating on the go yesterday = a lot of sodium
6/24 - 191.4 - My goal for the next two days is to drink a gallon of water each day to prepare for the next round. I will use this set of weigh-ins to get back in the mindset of weighing myself daily and thinking about how I feed my body.
6/25 - 190.7 - Headed in the right direction.

Round 44
My Round 2
SW: 133.4 (6/17/18)
GW this round: 130
GW: 123 lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
6/17 – 133.4. Going to head out for a bike ride in a bit…then get organized for the next week/ 10 days. Grocery shopping, meal prep and setting up a productive week…with sleep, workouts and no more than 40 hours of work.
6/18 -133 intermittent fast. I went to the gym with the trainer and did a 40 min run on hills. Drank 56 oz of water..came home and stepped on the scale for grins and it was 131.4..I know that is water fluctuation but I am happy to see that number…Made a big pot of Minestrone last night- used water and not broth to cut down on the Sodium. I am going on vaca on 6/28 and want to be under 130 by then. It will be a very active vacation.
6/19 – 132.4. Yay. Motivated. Have good foods prepped and exercise on the agenda. Getting a bit more sleep. Must keep it going!
6/20-133…under calories but…a little salty snack of pretzels before bed. I was craving salt and had a good swim during the day and went climbing at night so prob dehydrated, even with the water I did drink. I have never weighed in daily and it is rather fascinating to see! Got 8 hours of sleep last night and I feel gooood today!
6/21 – 132.2. Yay…bike ride last night. I had two beers with dinner after but was under my calories as I ate great all day AND for dinner. Planning to get in a run this am and some climbing tonight. I am feeling good. Sleep is helping. 8 hours last night again.
6/22-132.4 intermittent fast
6/23 – 131.8
6/24- 130.8 -this was fun to see for a minute I have until Thursday to get back there...
6/25-133 intermittent fast. Super busy weekend. Lots of working out/ playing and was under calories by at least 500 each day... but I did eat out Sat. (had a margarita and chips salsa then homemade veg pizza) and last night went for a vegan burger and fries which just spikes the scale!! I thought weighing in daily would be a real negative but it actually helps me see how the choices I make affect my weight- be it water or not…I leave for vaca for 10 days on Thursday so the next 3 days are laser focus on getting that number down again…no eating out..lots of water and veggies...2 big bags of broccoli in the fridge . Wooo. I can do this!!
