As a big bread, pasta, cereal and rice eater I can’t believe how much better I feel eating low carbs. I’ve lost inches on my waist and thighs and haven’t felt bloated once since starting. Looking forward to progressing and living a better life style while still enjoying lovely food !

it's been an amazing experience for me too! my skin is clearer, I feel more energetic and happier.21

I'm the same! It's amazingly easy to stick to because cheating isn't worth the discomfort and pain of eating the carbs.25

Omg me too! It’s crazy! I have so much more energy and the bloat is gone. What is it that causes that?16

Congratulations!
BTW, the bloat lost is a bit of water weight and electrolytes lost. When insulin is low it signals the kidneys to excrete more water and electrolytes. It's a nice bit of weight to lose, isn't it?24 -
How much carbs do you guys eat? I cut the refined, but I still take around 80gr to 120gr a day. But I said goodbye to cravings and keep under 1200 never was so easy.6

I've been doing keto and my face broke out badly, it should go away after a while. I eat less then 30g of carbs a day.5

YES! I was in denial as how "addicted" I was to carbs, cutting them so low has been a great fit for me. I'm not starving all the time, I eat when I'm hungry and a lot less when I do eat. Ive lost a fair amount of weight, I feel better and an a much happier person.18

Can you guys seeing yourself eating this low carb way for the next 30,40 years? Just curious if doubt creeps in?16

I just started with a low carb eating style (I don't want to call it a diet) and it's true what all of you posted, I feel better, I have not felt bloated during these days and I have much more energy. I started 10 days ago at 275, I have a long way to go but I already lost 3lbs and I am very motivated. I am eating 1200 calories or less and 120 grams of carbs or less per day, also eorking out 4 days a week. So far it's working for me.15

Fascinating to read all of this. I have a totally different experience. Eating only very few carbs makes me feel ill, I have no energy at all and feel like I need to puke all the time. Maybe if I'd see it through for a longer time, that would change, but I guess I really don't see the need. I like my carbs, and since they're not inherently evil, I'll just cut down on to many processed carbs.29

I have been doing a loosely-based keto (not as low as 20g) but cut out all the bad carbs. It’s been 2 months and I’ve lost almost 30 lbs. It’s insane how quickly the weight has come off. I’m a little worried that I won’t have the same ease of success these next two months as I come closer to my goal. I’m not sure if that’s true or not but I don’t want to plateau! Started at 210 and am currently 181. My goal is 140.22

Been doing the ketosis plan for 17 days on 20 or less carbs a day. Have lost 6 pounds so far, don't feel hungry and don't miss bread etc, bread was my worst thing as I love it. Will stick with it to see how it goes longer term. Nice to hear how others are successful on this plan.7

I agree! When I tried weight loss in the past, I whined “But I loooooooove my carbs” and refused to give them up. Now I see they aren’t even worth it! The awesome part... I am finally NOTICING how my body feels when I allow it. The inflammation when I allow crap as a cheat. I wake up hurting all night long. When I stick to my plan, I sleep well and wake up feeling better. Yay!12

I just started low carb and low sugar/ no processed sugar this week, and I feel better already, too! I’ve also noticed the less bloated feeling! It is easy to stay on it, because you just feel so good.7

How have you arrived at your daily carb allowance that's healthy for you? Have you worked with a dietary nutritionists or was it by yourselves and from the popular low-carb diet sites? Just curious.8

I just stopped unhealthy carbs. No white bread, white rice, white potatoes, and processed sugar. Just eliminating these created it’s own deficit for me. This diet was recommended by my dr, because I’m insulin resistant, although my dr did not tell me what number to stay under.
I’ve not eliminated healthy carbs (oats, sweet potatoes, some honey), so I still eat plenty of carbs.17 -
