I got a tan! It’s a first time in my adult life 😂12

I've had a hoodie my parents bought me a good 5 years ago, it's never fit ... until now! It's so comfy, I'm so pleased18

Over the course of the last week or so, I’ve come closer to a complete mental and emotional breakdown than I’ve ever been in my life (I work full time as a teacher and care for both of my disabled parents whenever I’m not at school, one of which continually falls through the gaps in the medical/support system due to a clash of workers compensation and government support). Have had two days of eating whatever I ‘want’, but realised tonight as I gnawed on a chocolate bar “this isn’t helping. You need to be strong and healthy to fight this battle - also? You feel bad. Physically, you feel really bad. How is this something you want?”. So I got up and made a chia pudding, ate enough to make me feel full and determined to start again tomorrow. As my life crumbles around me, I will stand strong as a stone.65

Coolchick007 what a great insight that stuffing down chocolate won’t make things better but I want to say trying to be a stone will eventually leave you cracked😔 I hope you can get some help with your burdens!10

I'm on vacation in London and my luggage arrived a day late, so I had to go shopping for a few thing. I just grabbed a pair of size 8 jeans forgetting that UK sizes are smaller than US sizes along with a shirt and some underwear. Most of my jeans are a US size 8. They are only slightly snug straight out of the dryer!!!! After a few hours of wearing them they fit near perfect.
@VUA21 if you're still in London make sure you grab lunch or dinner in Borough Market in Southwark. 👍
Still in London for another week and a half. Will do! Thanks
Welcome to our city! If you fancy a 5k on Saturday morning check out Parkrun. There are dozens all over the city at 9am. You can run, jog or walk it and it’s a lovely way to meet locals and see the place from a new perspective!

The hard wooden chairs at the restaurant were uncomfortable.9 -

Thank you, I'm a naturally outgoing person so I'm meeting a lot of lovely people. Being from the desert I'm used to having to wake up at 5AM to beat the sun, so my morning runs are done in relative tranquility. I will look into Saturday morning 5k, I am certain that there's at least a few near Regent Park (near where I'm staying), unless of course I find myself up at 5 and ready for a run.
So far my favorite run in the outer loop of Regent Park and ending with a hard push up Primrose Hill (save that for the end!)8 -

That natural backside padding is disappearing. Congratulations, except for the realization that seats are not as comfortable as they once were.5 -
I didn't finish my dinner last night. Went out with my friends to a Mexican restaurant and usually I over eat when I am not paying attention. But for the first time that I can ever remember I didn't finish my food. That a NSV for me.

Awesome! Welcome!!!8 -
It’s been a while since I posted a NSV for good reason. I had one today. I haven’t had any change in weight since April 1st. Technically I’m in a “plateau”. My weight has pretty much stayed the same fluctuating between the same 3-4lbs. I haven’t had much changes in my measurements either. Fortunately I’ve made losing weight a life long goal so rather than stress about it I just keep logging my calories and counting steps. I have increased my daily goal steps from 12,000 to 15,000 in the past 2 weeks. Even without much changes, I recently noticed my size 32D bras feel a little bigger. I decided today to stop Victoria’s Secret and try smaller size bras. I randomly grabbed a size 32C and 32B bra and both fit. So I guess I have been losing but it’s coming out of my bust. I don’t even have much left smh. It’s still better than no progress. My body is fighting me on losing these hips.21

I've been at it for a little over a month now. My pants size started at a very tight 12. I refused to go up in size and I have been determined to go down instead. Well, yesterday I was able to fit comfortably into my size 10 petite work pants. And then this morning, my time of the month started! Holy cow! I fit those size 10's even though I am bloated and carrying around extra water weight! And I still looked smaller in the mirror. I'm so excited I squealed when I realized what that meant.24

I had a friend visiting for a few days and stayed within my calorie goals every day except one - when I went over by just 100 calories. This included multiple meals out at restaurants and ordering in. I planned ahead a bit and was able to fully enjoy time with a friend without setting myself back at all.22

I've moved from belts with holes to belts like this: https://bisondesigns.com/products/38mm-crescent™-black-buckle-money-belt5 -
I have a small camera bag I finally could wear around my waist for when I go out exploring. I had to let the belt out completely, though. I had to adjust it smaller today, as it was too loose! Some inches are gone! Hooray!19

Just did a local for-fun bike race, the Tour de Donut.
That's right, 34 miles of riding my bike and eating donuts, with the Dr's approval of course.
Wasn't able to ride last year, but in 2016 I rode and was probably in the 260+ weight range. This past Saturday, I rode at 225#
2016 Result:
2018 Result:
So 3MPH and 34 minutes faster after losing 40#
Of course, I also ate 6 donuts instead of just 2, making my Donut Adjusted Time this year 90:14 as your time is reduced 5 minutes for every donut consumed.
The clock is running as you eat donuts. My GPS equipped FitBit said I averaged 17.9 and I had only paused it at the 2nd of 2 donut stops, so my actual ride speed was probably over 18 MPH.24 -
Paddled my SUP 10 miles yesterday with a stop toward the end to play SUP polo. I was beat, but I made it through it.17

I went on a 20-30 minute walk with my dog the last three mornings before work. Normally, I just go for a few minutes to let him do his thing. I'm usually awake quite a while before my alarm goes off, and I stay in bed checking Facebook or whatever. But the last three days I just got up and got going. Yay me!36

Can get up off the floor without rolling onto all fours.29

Happy Friday!!!18 -
I had to throw my baggy pajama pants out today. I was hooping in them for some quick exercise, and they fell down!14
-
I was getting ready for work this morning when I saw my reflection and realized I can make out some bones on the back of my shoulders as well as my shoulder blades. Back padding is reducing!20

@FeelingAlive Isn't it great? I was looking at a video my husband made while I was on my SUP and noticed my back looking more defined.8
-
I accidentally walked for almost an hour and a half, instead of my usual 28 minutes. I wasn't tracking my pace or distance because I was playing Pokemon Go, but I'm pretty sure it was around 2.5-3 miles instead of my typical 1.3.23

I kept up with daily logging after a death in the family a month ago. For the first two weeks I was at or above maintenance calories, this past week I've been above goal calories but under maintenance, and yesterday I finally kept within my daily calorie limit again.45

Well done on logging through such a difficult time. As long as you are conscious of what you are eating you will, I am sure, reach your goals. It was right to give yourself time. X13 -

I am doing a Trail half marathon 12th August, and training has been very lack lustre the last couple of weeks. It's been unnaturally hot here in the UK. Found a new route in the local country park this morning though, and did 8 miles. Feels like it's back on track.12
