How many calories for breakfast?

Just wondering how many calories people have for just breakfast. Do you have breakfast at all?

I find if I don't eat bfast then I tend to eat more in the evening. But I'm not really hungry at bfast. So I don't always eat. But I'm starving by lunch.

Any go to faves for feeling full through till lunch?

I eat around 300-600 calories for breakfast most days. I always eat breakfast, I don't feel well if I skip it.

I don't plan my meals to feel full until lunch. I like to feel hungry before each meal, it helps me enjoy my food more.

I stick to 800 - 900 calories during the day everyday then eat the rest at dinner time. It's worked for me for years.

I don't eat breakfast. My first meal is around 11 a.m. so it's really lunch. I am hungry all day if I eat any earlier than that. I pre log my evening snack because I like to eat before bed and then split my calorie between two larger meals. 11 a.m. and 6 p.m..

I often just have coffee with creamer for breakfast. When I do eat breakfast it tends to be in the 300-400 calorie range.

Hunger is a funny thing because there's no one right answer for everyone. You could try having a late breakfast or an early morning snack. Playing around with meal times makes a difference for some people. Or you can try different macro splits for your breakfast. I personally need something higher in protein for breakfast or I'm starving again later. I go for eggs, Greek yogurt, or breakfast burritos. Things than have more protein and fat than carbs. But some people are volume eaters who do better with more carbs so you might also look into veggie heavy breakfast meals. It's all about playing around to see what works best for you.

It will vary from person to person. When I am cutting, I usually keep my breakfast between 300-400 calories, when I am bulking, I love to have a high caloric breakfast, somewhere between 600-1000 calories (My favorite is 2 eggs, 2 slices of whole wheat bread w/ margarine and 2 slices of bacon, a glass of orange juice and a banana).

    Around 500 calories.

I always have breakfast, but it's rarely something fancy. Usually just cereal. This tends to keep me going fine until lunch, unless I get up super early.

If you're not hungry in the mornings, there's nothing wrong with skipping it and just having a snack or small late breakfast when the hunger hits to keep you going until lunch time. I wouldn't recommend being starving come lunch because people do then tend to overestimate what they require and opt for convenience over what they'd normally have, but I don't see the point in forcing yourself to eat first thing if you're not hungry.

200 or so per day. I used to have a larger breakfast (500ish calories) but cut back on things like peanut butter, seeds/nuts, milk, now it's the same thing, but much lower in calories. I don't have lunch, maybe a snack if hungry, so that keeps me full until dinner.

Depends on what I eat but probably average 400 cal. If I eat very light I will usually have a mid morning snack.

I try to keep it around 500 cal per meal.

Ok so that is why I am so hungry. I have only been having 150-200 cals at bfast if I even eat at all. It amazes me that some people have so much more and still lose weight!

Holy cow! 700 cals for breakfast?! Do you still lose weight or are you just maintaining?

Do you eat less later in the day then?

I'm actually trying to gain, but I would still be around 500-600 for maintaining. My calorie maintenance is a little over 2,000 a day, which is probably higher than yours.
