I almost bought a watermelon today because it was a ridiculously good price for an enormous melon and I LOVE watermelon. It was the same price for a full-size melon that I usually pay for a personal size one.

I had to have a Very Stern Conversation with myself, reminding me that I am single and I could not possibly fit all that watermelon in before it was no longer edible. But it was a very near thing. I went for the .99/lb strawberries and the rainier cherries instead.

    Man, I love fruit.

I have not seen what I would call a true full sized watermelon this year. I have had some really good mid sized ones. Peaches are currently very good here (NC and I think they are SC or GA peaches). At lunch, I have walked to the grocery store, bought a pound of strawberries and finished them before I got back to the office. I wouldn't let that melon go bad.

Fruit makes me really healthy because I have to walk or paddle for miles to fit it in. Today it was brownies, though. But I kayaked 9 miles in a 10' rec kayak. Exercise is my eraser, but I am getting really fit.

Depends on the season/ time of year. Now: cherries! I eat nearly a pound per day. I also have pre-weighed baggies of various nuts. They're so delicious and nutritious but insanely calorie dense so I have to be very careful.

If I just want to eat to eat, (not because I'm starving) I like the 100 calorie bags of popcorn, especially the Kettle Corn flavor.

And for my nightly "dessert" I buy the Chobani flip yogurts. I like the s'mores, cookies and cream, and mint chocolate chip flavors.

I tried the mint chocolate chip last night loved it.

When I am craving salt, I eat pickles. When I am craving sweets, I will eat a little piece of chocolate or some strawberries and cream.

1 serving Stauffer's Animal Crackers with 1 serving Kirkland Unsalted Fancy Whole Cashews or Mixed Nuts (290 or 280 calories total). I eat them one at a time, savoring each bite. Savory, sweet. Savory, sweet.

    Lightly, or un-, salted Peanuts.
I'm always low on fats anyway, high on carbs, so this makes for a nice boost in healthy fats and calories, especially if it's the end of the day and I'm hungry or need to avoid too severe a deficit.

If you like peanuts try roasted edamame. The nutrition breakdown is excellent!

    Looks for snack ideas?
Need snacks that will actually fill me up.
    I'm struggling with my hunger.
Currently have trail mixes and been doing one peice of wheat bread with turkey and some applesauce.

Trail mix is a high cal, high sugar fix. Not the best option. I like to eat cottage cheese & fruit, veggies, Greek yogurt (or Skyr), protein bars, edamame, baby puffs or hard boiled eggs

right now since it's summer, watermelon and pineapple is usually my afternoon snack. I pack a substantial amount. I eat probably 150-200 calories worth. This week, since my watermelon SUCKS, I'm eating pineapple and blueberries. Which the blueberries aren't that great either. A banana is also pretty good at killing the hunger. Maybe add some peanut butter to fill you up a bit more.

My trail mixes are 200 calories. I don't consider that too high calories on a 1700 calorie limit.

Right now my favorite snacks are Garden of Life plant protein powder, chocolate is my favorite. Tastes like milkshake so it feels indulgent even though it’s only 100 cals. It keeps me full too so it’s my go to afternoon snack.

In the evening, dairy free Halo Top ice cream is my go to. Oatmeal Cookie flavor is amazing and a serving is only 70 cals!

I love Turkey Bites, string cheese, lower calorie ice creams (well more a dessert), Sweet Balanced Breaks, yogurt cups (Dannon has great 80 calorie flavors & a lot of their higher calories ones are also awesome), & basically a lot of the different brands of protein snack packs (ones that have chicken, cheese, & various other items).
