What percentage macros are good for cutting down.

A calorie deficit is what makes you lose weight. A macro split that makes it as easy for you as possible to eat less, is good. The default is a good starting point, many people don't change it or don't even look at it.4

Yup, OP, calories are king when it comes to weight loss.6 -
^This is the setup I used and I saw good success with it. The important thing to keep in mind is that humans can survive, thrive, and lose weight on a wide variety of macro splits. Keto is one possibility, but it's not the only one. Play around with different ways of eating to see what works out best for you.2
