I wanted a certain color but they were out of the XL, so I went with the large and figured even if it didn't fit now I could use it as a goal dress down the road. Got it yesterday and tried it on and it fit! Showed it to my hubby and I pointed out the "flaws" (little tight in the hips, little shorter than I thought it would be) - he said it fit perfectly and I looked good!
Smart man right there!

Whoa! That's cool! Congrats.4 -
@Ghostofachance —congratulations!1

My hubby usually keeps the chocolate under lock and key, but there are three bags of candy just sitting there, for weeks now, and I haven't touched them! Feeling strong and motivated 😊36

I've stopped wearing my Polar. (Basically same as Fitbit)
I don't obsess over the ammount I'm (not) exercising anymore. I still try to be active and get up so I don't sit still for hours at a time.
The victory here is that i don't have to think about it anymore. I just do it. It's becoming a habit.
Also, I'm fitting back into things. And the shorts I bought a few months back? Yeah, they're too big now.
Just like everyone said, the places where you want to lose the most, will go the last. My hands and feet are thinner. My legs are getting some shape back. My arms don't look so swollen anymore. I can start seeing my shoulder muscles again. My face is getting slimmer. Even my lovehandles are shrinking. But my big old belly isn't moving. Ohwell. I'll get there eventually.21 -
I have been swimming an hour at a time non stop; not very fast but without stopping at all. Pushed it up to 68 minutes tonight and would have kept going to ~75 but the pool closed.19

I know most ladies don't want to lose there, but man, I'm so glad that I lost some centimeters of my boobs! My t-shirts don't cling to me for dear life anymore, they swish around, and that is awesome!29

Friday is always my weigh in/measurements day. So, today gained a cm on my thighs, but they are much less wobbly, all of a sudden! I’m very happy that the muscles are making themselves known more ♥️19

Hiked to the top of (admittedly tiny) Mt Moosalamoo and back down again, and lived to tell about it.28

my skinny jeans are feeling loose.28

Exercises are getting easier so I’m having to increase the weight to them.
I never thought that a size 32 jeans or pants would be my go to size but it is. My 18 year old son and I wear the same size pants and shirts!!31 -
I bought a skirt in a size 8 yesterday! I haven't worn that size in years.30

I spent five minutes today sitting relaxedly on top of a headland waiting for a group of twenty-somethings to catch me up40

I have a dress that has been sitting in my closet - brand new. Never worn because I couldn't zipper it. Not just a little snug. I mean there was like a 3-inch wide gap! Tried the dress on last night to gauge my progress, and it fully zipped up! Tight, but zipped! Dragon dress officially slayed! :-D45

You may have all seen my fat legs post, but guess what these fat legs did?! I did a 2 k rowing test today and my goal was under 10 min, and I did it. 9 min 25 sec!33

coolchick207 wrote: »Three of them today, all related.
1) Didn't go swimming this morning as my back was hurting too badly, so I went this afternoon when it settled instead of just going "I guess I'm not going today".
2) Been swimming twice this week after a year of no exercise.
3) Shaved 5 minutes off Sunday's time for 1km freestyle, from 45 to 40 minutes. [/quote
Nice! Very nicely done!5 -
Shorts that I loved last summer that were wayyyyy too tight in May ...fit! I wore them yesterday and had plenty of room18

At first I was mildly upset when my boobs shrank. Now that they fall into the itty bitty catagory, I LOVE them! I love being able to wear cute bralettes under open back shirts, I love that the cute swimsuit tops look "cute" and don't scream "BOOBIES!!!". I can wear any style shirt without having to worry about buttons popping open or being clingy on my chest. I never want to go back to large breasts ever again.25 -
On the boob topic; I get hardly any migraines since losing so much in my boobs. The weight used to pull on my neck and shoulders. I can also stand up straighter now.30

For as long as I can remember I was always the fattest woman in the room. At least I certainly saw myself as such.
Tonight I went to dinner with a group of women and realized that I am the healthiest and have the best body of the group.
I'm in no competition with anyone but myself, but dang!
After maintaining a 90 lb loss for a couple of years, I realized that this really is the new me.55 -
My weekly average weight has gone up a little, but not even once did I think about giving up.
Yesterday I went for a run, and accidentally skipped another week on C25K (from week 7 of run 25mins to week 8 of run 28mins). I’m still slower than the pace they suggest, but I’ll just work on the actual 5K distance when I’m done with the program times. Also, I’m not sore from yesterday so I can go again today.
I’m utterly baffled by this whole driver’s license discussion. I was vaguely aware that in the US they put weight and height on licenses, but seriously, WHY? Good thing mine doesn’t have that info, and the pic is from when I was 18 and first got my license. I was normal weight then, and the photo will stay there for a while. When I first got my license, all licenses were valid until you turn 70, but now there’s some EU regulation and I have to renew it sometime in 2030s. Might be time for a new picture then anyway... The only health-related information we have on licenses is if you’re required to wear glasses/contacts while driving.7 -

Status update: I did the same exact route as yesterday, except there were maybe 150m extra and a couple-minute break when I turned back to check on this little girl I found crying on the side of the road and her parents weren’t around the corner either. Her mom showed up in a couple of minutes, and I continued my run with a clean conscience. Despite the extra distance and the break, it only took one minute longer than yesterday.

My most recent NSV is that the other day I was able to jog non-stop one lap around my park. (1/2 mile). For me, that's huge because I used to get winded just walking around it.35

I can easily grab my ankle for those standing one legged quad stretches. I couldn't do this last year. And, I can maintain my balance there for a good stretch without holding on or falling down.19

Police use the information from the most recent license in missing persons, someone who might be in danger, or if they are searching for someone who committed a crime. They then post the picture from the license to the media and provide the description given on the driver's license. 'This is a 25 year old female with brown eyes and blonde hair. She is 5 foot 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds. She was last seen...... If anyone has seen her or heard from her, please contact the sheriff's office at......'
This is the best WHY I have to that question. It's also why we renew our licenses so often.5 -
Just before I restarted on here, 3 months ago, I bought two pairs of trousers in the same size but different colours, a size up from what had unhappily become my normal size over the previous year.
I got home and realised one pair was a different - much tighter - cut than the one I tried on in the shop and was *inches* away from closing. I couldn't bear the thought of going up another size and hid them away in my closet. This week I could finally wear those trousers to work!23 -
My daughter told me to go buy a new pair of pants, that fit, for goodness sake.30
