Put on my belt this morning and I'm down two notches from where I was 9 weeks ago!16

Just 2 notches to go and I get a new belt!14 -
1) Deadlifted 3x5x240 this morning. PR is a single at 255. I will be doing that for reps in another month or two.
2) Had a 9 AM meeting. Took a protein bar with me. Ate that instead of the donuts!22 -

Avoiding donuts should be considered a super power! 🍩11 -

Well it should, I mean donuts are like kryptonite! 🤣1 -
I tried calorie counting before and it didn't work for me. I lost a lot of weight eating less and better and working out a lot and very hard. I wanted to boost the results, so I decided to try calorie counting again.
My plan was to log only dinner and weekends, since my breakfasts and lunch are pretty stable calorie wise. So I quick added calories for breakfasts and lunches for the week.
Instead, I ended up logging every meal for the last 8 days. And surprisingly, it wasn't a drag. I know, not a big deal for most of you, but it was a mental block for me. I guess it isn't anymore.40 -
I can do 50 squats per day and I even did an Extra rep with 15 lbs weight extra as a kicker today .17

I agree with @beerfoamy -- NEVER PASS UP GOOD FITTING JEANS. They are almost as impossible to catch as a rare unicorn! XD XD XD. My favorite pair of jeans stopped making my cut and now I'm sad. Although, I found sparkle-y jeans that I've gravitated to instead because (as my husband says)... I'm a fish, lol.
I know, but I am cheeeaaap. Although I really don't need any more bottom halves, it's tops that I never buy any of (no matter how many shopping trips I go out to buy tops on). And I'm just under half way to my goal weight so I don't want to risk dropping another size and having two pairs of jeans that don't fit properly
I'm a little late in replying but I also agree with the others who say buy more now, except I say don't buy just one size down. You replied that you were cheap and didn't want to buy a single size down. May I recommend my technique of buying 2 sizes down at a time? Right now you're not buying new jeans in the same size, model, and fabric because 'just' one size is not enough to make the investment, right? For me, stretchy jeans that started out tight, then got so loose that they looked idiotic was the difference of about 40 pounds, so same technique but cost savings?9 -

I managed to stop short of any major binges, logged what I ate and interspersed some days of low net calories (often a result of substantial exercise burn) and managed to stay in the middle of my maintenance range. The victory is that I managed to control it and then offset it, but it really worries me that I am getting those urges and giving in even if I have managed to not let them do damage yet.
No one can be tough all the time. You figured out how to manage within your calories even when you were not feeling your best. That puts you ahead of the game. Hopefully you can figure out what put you in that binge state of mind and how to avoid it next time!5 -
Did my first unassisted pull up tonight!44

Lost 13kg that I had gained with eating too much and some depressive circumstances!18

This! This is how I found the dragon pants. I'm thinking about hitting up the dragon cave (store) to see if I can spot the next boss. All the pants I have fit quite nicely now (not snug).
I'm trying to be patient, get some more levels (drop in the scale), but it's hard to be patient. I want to find the next thing to conquer!9 -
@dhiammarath - be brave - buy a dress! That would be an ace boss!4
-
@motivatedmartha I did, actually, order a dress. It was on a whim and there was only a small and xl and 2xl. So I got the small. Here's hoping it fits! And doesn't show off my legs too much. c.c6

You'll be flashing those legs with confidence soon. 🤣🤣3 -

Haha! I don't know about THAT. I took a picture of my shoes (which are super cute and sparklie) for my bestie and was like, ANKLES, ANKLES, WHERE ARE YOU?!
FWIW, my ankles are still hiding.5 -

I have a new addiction - kayaking! It's SUCH fun! My son has been on his Sea Cadets summer camp and parents were invited to see what they've been up to and to have a go. It was amazing, really good fun. My 18-yo and 13-yo couldn't get back to shore quick enough but I had a great time, with my son teaching me. He also took us for a go in a powerboat which he learned to operate this morning before we arrived. It was wonderful. I was on the water for about 45 minutes and now my shoulders and upper arms are killing me (not that I mind as I had such a brilliant time). Have spent this evening trying to find a local club to join/working out what it's going to cost.
Oh, and scary moment - I purchased myself some "proper" running clothes. My 18-yo encouraged me so I did it. Haven't had the nerve to actually try it on though, will have to build up to that one

A significant NSV for me today. I made a climb up a hill on my road bike that has been intimidating me all summer.29

I turned down peach pie tonight after checking the nutrition information and seeing it was 310 calories a slice! This was at a family dinner, which is usually tougher for me. So I’m pretty proud. 😊26

When I was about to put my SUP in the lake to paddle, a lady asked me about it. She made a comment about how fit I am and wondered if she would be able to do it. I assured her she would as I started doing it when I wasn't as fit and it helped me get into the shape I am in now.
Then I paddled almost 11 miles and burned over 1200 calories, completely offsetting the previous two days when I went around 600 over each day. My 3 day average net is just under goal.25 -
My NSV is that I’m still here. I took two weeks off from logging my food as I was vacationing in situations where first I couldn’t control any of the food so logging would have just been a pain, and then in a situation without electricity outlets and limited connectivity, so saved that battery for messaging home. The latter trip included a 4000+ daily burn, so not worried about that, either. The victory here is, I got back to logging now that I went back to work (and stayed home for a full 5 days without skipping town) and it doesn’t feel tedious.
I also checked and the first 6 days of this week average a 500-cal deficit, exactly as they should.16 -
On a whim, I bought underpants in size M (I usually buy at least L, if not XL), whaddaya know - they fit, even if a bit stretched, but my *kitten* is not eating them! Also, my belt is almost two notches down!17

I went swimming for the first time in nearly a year - 1km of freestyle in 45 minutes. I used to do 3km in an hour!! But it's a new baseline to start from18

Hope this is in the category of an NSV ... I finally decided to expand my fitness options by joining the YMCA. I had been content just doing things by myself in and around the house - have some of my own cardio and gym equipment, and also can run. But - now I'll have opportunities for fitness classes, swimming, and an all encompassing weight room.23

Tried on size 36 jeans in slim-fit, and they fit perfectly. Used to wear size 44 relaxed fit29

I bought size 14 jeans, straight leg, at a store. That I went to in order to buy jeans. Not size 34 flared to balance the hips visually, from the catalog with a week-long wait.18

Great job, everyone!! All of your NSVs are so inspiring!! Let's keep it up!! 😎
Here is mine: I have not run for quite some time, maybe 6 months or so. I've been focusing my fitness elsewhere. But there is an annual half marathon coming up in my community that I have been looking forward to for the whole year after I missed it last year. So I signed up without hesitation! And despite not having been running, I have been able to jump right back in with no problems! I feel confident in my runs, and I don't feel painful breathing or legs. It feels just...good!! My seven miles today just whizzed by and I felt almost, like, refreshed and energized afterwards!!! Such a 180° from years past when running 1/4 mile made me cry. I'm feeling very confident in my fitness right now!!26 -
300 days of logging into mfp!28
