What are some things you like, but wouldn’t eat/drink because the calories aren’t worth it for you?
For me it’s
1. Regular soda. I like diet soda so it would just be pointless
2. Peanut butter. I’m not as obsessed with peanut butter as a lot of other people are so when I want it, I just eat PB2 for waaay less calories and it’s (almost) just as good to me
3. High calorie salad dressing. Bolthouse farms makes really good salad dressing that’s 45 calories for 2 tablespoons

I'm stealing your 1 and 3. Also, chicken nuggets. And as someone else mentioned, if it's something I really don't like. Why waste it?

I agree about ceasar salad dressing. The light stuff is gross so when I'm craving it high calorie ceasar dressing is the only thing that satisfies me. So worth it3 -
100% sugary drinks. I never drink regular coke, but I drink Coke Zero regularly. Also cider / beer / cocktails. When I go out to drink it’s usually a spirit and diet drink like Jameson and diet ginger ale.6

Foods I don’t like34
-
Alcohol, avocado, orange juice, marshmallows.5
-
Alcohol, pie, cake, regular pop, pancakes, juice, pretty much anything else goes and I fit it into my calories.4
-
- Normal soda, but I still drink juices and other sweetened drinks.
- Donuts. I ate them in the past just fine, they're just not that spectacular to be worth it now.
- Peanut butter, not that I would never spend calories on that, it just doesn't seem to happen. I haven't had any in more than 2 years despite it not trying to actively limit it.
- Steak, beef chunk, and bacon. I'm done trying to like them.
- Low fat hard cheese, lower in calories but so not worth it.
- Fat bombs. Chocolate truffles are lower in calories and provide much better satisfaction.
- Actually, most "meh" foods regardless of their calories, chicken breast being the exception because I need protein - I treat it like a supplement. I just don't like spending even a single calorie unnecessarily when I can use it for something I really like.

fast food or soda.1
-
When I'm in a deficit..nuts, some fruit, juice or pop. Typically foods that aren't worth the macros. I will have overcooked chicken breast if I need the protein. But wine for me is always worth the calories.8
-
- alcohol
- low fat versions of things... if I want it, I'm going to eat well the majority of the time and have the one I like. Talenti, not Halo6 -
1) Anything.. As I'm eating it.. And if not loving it.. then into the garbage it goes.
2) ding dongs, Twinkies, or any donut 95% of the time is not worth it5 -
the only thing i refuse to spend my calories on is full calorie sodas.
anything else, if i want it, i make it fit or go slightly over for the day4 -
actually i take that back, at the buffett concert last week, the heat (OMG it was HOT) and alcohol was NOT a good combo (couldnt even get down a half margarita before getting nauseous. paul only had regular coke in the cooler, so i did have that.
but on days like that (special occasions/events/ etc), i dont worry about calories anyways.3 -
I've learned I used to eat a lot of things just because other people were eating them. Or staff potlucks! I dont like half that random crap but would take it because it was there, not anymore!3

I love ice cream, so if I am eating to indulge that I really enjoy then I want something that is full flavour, just the right kind of sweet that isn't overloaded with crap which is usually what is served in fast-food/less great ice cream places. Making a treat at home means I can have my ice cream days, or I can switch to plain fruit with some greek yogurt which is also really great.
A calorie waste to me is bakery items that aren't great/fresh. They are so not worth it, neither are the giant muffins.

Interesting question!!
1. soda in general. Stopped drinking it years ago, and never missed it.
2. sweets in general - I was eating cookies, cake, etc and watching the scale go up
3. red meat.
4. chips, and other junk food
5. fast food of any kind
6. pineapple or any fruit that is just loaded with sugar
7. fruit juice11 -
Imma echo malibu: Things I don't like, to the point they're not worth their calories, however meager.
Some examples: Lima beans, seaweed salad, most grocery-store-type baked goods, boring bread, Halo Top 'ice cream'.
Some counterexamples: Amazing desserts (good tiramisu, ricotta-intense lemon-y cannoli, etc.), beer battered fries with excessive good-quality ketchup, deep-fried pickle sticks (not slices/chips), deep-fried fresh mushrooms, blue corn enchiladas.
And good craft beer. Right now, - for serious - I'm drinking 20 oz (roughly 400 cal) of amazing tiramisu (coffee/chocolate) stout. Worth every tasty calorie.
Before you ask: Year 3 of maintenance, 5'5", age 62, 132.8 this morning, rowed 7.04K in a double shell this AM with a former Big 10 champion rower, shorting my full-day calories a little to indulge, but still with a plan for decent nutrition.
Finding a way to enjoy life in good health is the magic.23 -
Alcohol, pop/soda, juice. I will drink a protein shake or a smoothie I make, but in general I don’t like drinking my calories. I echo the salad dressing—Bolthouse Farms is awesome!!!2

Mmmmmmm ... a good burger and good fries ... sigh of happiness!5
