The top one thing I use is a structured program designed by someone who knows what their doing instead of some random mix of exercises. Currently doing Layne Norton's P.H.U.L. program. So, I follow the program.13

My top three gym items I couldn't live without are the barbell (squats, DL and bench..what more could a girl need), the cable machine (because of it's versatility) and the stair master (because I haven't seemed to find a better cardio machine that gets me to sweat quite like that one..even spin class)1 -
1 - adjustable bench and dumbbells
2 - trap bar and plates
3 - Gymnastic rings or TRX or similar0 -

My home gym is all Bowflex dumbbells and ajustable bench... So I can get a full body work out done, wouldn't mind hitting the gym soon to max out0

1) Weights (Combo of machines, free weights and kettlebells)
2) Elliptical
3) Treadmill
I am running on the treadmill right now as it is so hot in Florida during the summer. Once the weather gets cooler I will start running outside again. Spent some time on a stair mill for the first time the other day and it kicked my butt big time so I suppose I should spend more time on that machine.

At my gym, it's a lot warmer on the stepmill, because you're higher up and the hot air rises there. That's why i don't use sweat as a metric for workouts. Try comparing heart rate with your spin class.0 -
