Has anybody heard about huel and if so what are you thoughts on it? I’m currently on the huel diet and I love it, it’s only been a week and feel great.

I like eating food.12

What happens when you stop using it?2

Never heard of it!1

Drinking your calories? I like to eat my calories, but I am foodie. I made some chicken in sous vide for dinner. I can’t wait.7

I have heard about it and I think it's sad. Food is so great, why would anybody give up food?
I could do a restrictive diet for months, but when I couldn't anymore, I really couldn't - back to the old diet and then some.6 -
Not a fan of this type of thing, especially when you can have really nice food that gives you the same result.

I've used it before, it's ok but I wouldn't use it everyday, it is very caloric and does not filling me up for a long period of time, as liquid food will digests much quicker than solid food.
It has all the necessary Macros and micros needed. I think it is great for busy people that are skipping meals, for a quick fix or as a snack. You can also use it as extra calories if you struggle with the calorie intake. I would use as supplementing but not use it all the time. I think our body needs a variety of foods.6 -
I'd only ever use it as a back up option for days that are so busy I just don't have time to eat. But fortunately my lifestyle isn't at that point so I have no use for it.2

Liquid diet? Nope - may be old but still have my teeth and they need exercise. The longer I have to chew the better and fuller I feel6

Just the name is enough. I am guessing some play on fuel. But after checking it out I usually pronounce it Hurl3

Teeth, and a digestive system that likes to be given a reason to work too. It works less effectively as we get older, and I'm sure it becomes less effective from not being stimulated...0 -
Chinito has never been part of these boards and just may be trying to see if he can get a bite on "heul".
Trying to sell what he has or venturing out to be a entrepreneur of "Hurl".5 -

To be fair, for those of us of a certain age "Huel" is a less off-putting name than "Soylent" But yeah, I always read it as Hurl too!
I like to eat food, and the beautiful thing about keeping a food log is I can make sure I am still at the correct calorie level while eating yummy food. So yes OP, I've heard of it, but no, I don't think it's a good weight loss plan. It has it's place for some people, but I don't think pushing it as a weight loss plan would be helpful. One serving has 500 calories, I can eat all sorts of yummy things for that amount!6 -
I can understand wanting to use a meal replacement shake when you need something on the go, but I can't understand how anyone who likes food would consume them exclusively unless they had to.
Back in the late 90s (I was already obese) a woman approached me with Herbalife. When she explained the concept I was puzzled. I told her "why would I want to do this to myself?". Needless to say, she looked shocked that someone who is obese isn't jumping at the opportunity to give up the pleasure of eating.5 -

Hi, anyone tried Huel? What are your thoughts on it.
I struggle with lunch and want to make it simple but haven't tried any meal replacement products before. Huel seems to have a good rep though.

First things first - how and why do you struggle with lunch? The simplest is to skip lunch. Simple isn't the same as easy. Figure out sustainable strategies.2

Yes, and very easy for my dog to eat while sitting in the car beside me, lol. The only chance I get to eat between breakfast and my evening meal is in the car, at traffic lights.0 -
Try it....love it or hate it!0

And is not being able to eat between breakfast and dinner the reason you're overweight?0
