8/16 203.7 Got my steps in. Was mindful of what I ate, only took a small piece of the birthday treat someone brought in. No late night bingeing. Was going to exercise, had all good intentions at work but when I got home didn’t happen.
8/17 201.9 Yes!!!! Large weight loss hopefully yesterday's number was high and this number is correct. Very hopeful that the first number may be replaced by a 1. It has been years.
8/18 201.7 I need to really watch what I eat this week end because my weight gains always show up on Monday and Tuesday. Yesterday I kind of fell apart with eating right. Today's goals WATER. I don't drink much water on the weekends.

@quiltingjaine - I would start to train him slowly, now I am just happy that he is experimenting with food and I get to skip cooking myself . He is 14. My daughter is almost 16 and she truly believes that is my job to cook till she is 18th. I am joking that for her 18th birthday I will buy her a nice and expensive set of pots and I would consider my job done:).5

8/16 - 61.3 kg, yesterday had a very disciplined day after seing the morning weight slight increase. Low carb diet respected, 1 hour of yoga and no food after 18:00. Today I have a party , hope to keep drinks under control, We will see tomorrow morning the damages.
8/17 - 61.6 kg, small gain that is no surprise considering the 2 large beers that I have yesterday. I am happy there is no significant damage, back on track today & no party plans
8/18 - 61.1 kg, clean eating, no food after 18:00 and unfortunately no sport as my class was canceled.
8/19 - 60.7 kg, clean eating, low carb, yoga done and no food after 18:00. Had however a glass of white wine and I am happy that I didn't see it in the scale
8/20 - 60.8 kg, relatively clean eating but snacking too much, this is my challenge during the weekend, take few nuts, a cube of parmesan, again few nuts and didn't resist to a dry martini in the evening. So while I kept it under 20 carbs I think that I pushed a little bit on the calories side. On the positive side I have done my circuit class and started at home some arm exercises that I plan to do daily on top of the gym. Hoping to see my hidden muscles:)
8/21 - 61.4 kg, totally unexpected. I had a clean day , 21 carbs, 1100 cal and 3 liters of water + 1 class of TRX. I do not really understand what went wrong. I even was full of energy and cleaned my kitchen till 10 pm (my 14 yo son loves to cook and experiments in the kitchen but I need at least 1 hour of deep cleaning after he prepares something). I think that I was on the extreme side of energy as I was not able to sleep till 1 am and even after that I can remember that I moved from one side to another all night and now of course I can barely keep my eyes open. Hope tomorrow is a better day!
8/22 - 61 kg, this is annoying somehow but that's life. Clean day yesterday, low carb, stop eating around 17:30, played tennis for 1 hour, drunk all my water. Still 3 days to go, feeling that my goal is still achievable

8/17 - 177.6 (-.6 total so far). I certainly dodged a bullet on that weigh in. Had to go to Walmart after work and was soooo hungry...bought and ATE a whole bag of Brachs Bridge Mix. Sooo sooo good! I just have no self control sometimes! Note to self. STAY OUTTA THE STORES!!

8/19 - 178.6 - NO NO NO NO NO NO, it is the state of ugliness! I am hanging tonight and we will see what the morning brings.
8/20 - 179.6 - This is not going very well. I know I need to push the water more and start measuring and logging.
8/21 - 180.6 - I honestly don’t even know what to say. I’m on my feet at work 10 hours a day and moving moving moving. I haven’t had any wine in a over a week. SMH! I know my hands are swollen as I barely got my ring off this morning so I’ll continue to push the water but that’s all I’ve got.

8/18- 160.2lbs I weighed first thing this morning & was so happy to see this number. I was in disbelief & stepped off & on about 5 times no lie just to see the same number appear. But after 20 mins I decided to weigh again just to be sure 🙄 & it read 161.2lbs 😭 so I dont know which one to go by hoping the lower number is correct of course. So if the lower number is correct I’m officially down to pre pregnancy weight. But a huge goal for me will be to get out of the 60s because from grade 10(I think age 15/16) to 22 I been 160 - 165lbs. So it would be amazing to finally see number that’s not in the 60s
8/19- 162lbs😒 hmm I was feeling so disappointed when I saw this number this morning. Earlier today not so good, I ate things I knew I shouldn’t have. But I did manage to stop myself from binge eating. For dinner I’m going to take things light with chicken and some steamed veggies. Hope I’m back down tomorrow.
8/20-162lbs tired of seeing this number getting a bit discouraged to getting at my goal of 158lbs at the end of the round. Hopefully I see progress tomorrow.

8/16 - 156 - Wow, after all my whining last round, my weight suddenly seems to be moving in the right direction. I have a feeling this won't stick, but it sure is nice to see this number. I haven't seen this weight since 2001.
8/17 - 156.5 - Not too bad of a bounce back. I didn't get all my water in yesterday, so I'll be chugging it today.
8/18 - 156 - OK!
8/19 - 156 - I had a little extra salt today, so tomorrow may show it, but I'm really happy when my weight doesn't go up on the weekend!

8/21 - 155.5 - I'm holding steady and that's OK. I went into a slight panic this morning when I got in my office and realized I forgot to bring my half sandwich for lunch today. It's pretty funny because 6 months ago I would have used it as an excuse to go to the little restaurant next door and ordered their yummy ham and cheese sliders. Today, they've lost their appeal and I will make do with my banana, grapes, popcorn, and some crackers. It's amazing how the daily weigh in has changed my food choices/priorities.
8/22 - 155 - I hit my wedding weight from 8/11/2001! I'm also down 2.5 lbs. from one week ago! I wonder if my body is just catching up from the plateau I had from mid July to early August. Doesn't matter, I'm glad I stuck through it and managed to see this number again.

8/16 290 Day one- Great start, High protein/low carb works for me.
8/17 282.2 - 7.8 lbs Combined first two days fluid loss.
8/18 280.0 – 2.2 lbs Switched off caffine diet soda to clear caffine free soda water. Good day at the gym but its always my toughest to stay with it on a regular basis. I wish I really enjoyed going. Maybe I should take up swing dancing! Yeah right!! One day at a time...... So far all is good.
8/19 280.0 – 0.0 lbs Well not unexpected to have no loss after such a big drop over the past few days. Staying under my calorie and carb count. Going to my grandsons birthday party this afternoon and taking my subway chicken salad and 0 cal dressing with me to stay with it. NO EXCUSES!
8/20 280.8 +0.8 today. Hmmm.. stayed on track at grandsons birthday party but fluid retention is holding me up. This is typical for me. I seem to do the step down weight loss. (Three days plateau then drop.... repeat). Tomorrow is another day. Have a good week everyone.
8/21 281.2 +0.4 Well that was disappointing. Stayed well below my calorie and carb limits and still gained for the second day. Yeah I know... fluid.... still its not fun watching the scale go up. Sticking in for the long haul though as I know it will come down again.. usually with a big drop which will make me happy once again. Im always in such a hurry to lose. Something I have to deal with.
8/22 279 – 2.2 lbs Yeah! Next step down and into the next decade. Ketosis on track this morning. Lots of water again today. This 10 day challenge is great for keeping me accountable and working with short term and long term goals.

8/18 - 148.0 when I woke up and 146.2 after I decided to go back to bed for a couple hours. Hoping the 146.2 is accurate but I also had a burger and booze last night so I see where 148 comes from. Either way I'm back on track today, Friday is always my relaxed evening when it comes to food and drinks because it's usually date night for me and my husband.
8/19 - 148.2 - I guess my body isn't ready to be rid of this number yet. I've lost pretty consistently since January though so being stuck here for a bit is ok.
8/20 - 149.0 - ok with being stuck but not gaining, so very frustrated. Kids start school tomorrow so things should be getting back on a pretty set schedule and I am definitely needing the consistency it'll bring.
8/21 148.0 - my weigh ins have moved to an hour earlier than I have been now that school has started and I have to get my son up early. Was completely expecting an increase and was going to be perfectly fine with it as I took the day off from work to spend a day out with my kids before the 1st day of school. It included pizza buffet and popcorn at the movies so still might see the increase tomorrow but going to eat as healthy as possible today and hope it doesn't jump again.

8/16 180.8 Close to a new decade! My workout buddy is back from her camping trip so the day has begun with a workout.
8/17 181.8 No idea why, did my work out, exceeded my step goal and was on target with calories. I am tired and grumpy today so will have to be on my guard re emotional eating.
8/18 180.4 I did eat a chocolate bar yesterday, but only one. I ate it slowly and enjoyed every bit and I stayed within my calories so yay me! In the past I ate chocolate bars the way other people smoked cigarettes, one before work, one at break, one before lunch, one or two after lunch etc etc, 7 or more in a day. So one and done is great.
8/19 181.8 mea culpa - did fine most of the day, but fell back into old habits in the evening mindessly grabbing a handful of this or that whenever the opportunity arose. Woke up with a cold this morning - so I am going to have a quiet day. Somehow knowing that there is a reason why I feel like carp makes it easier to stay on track.

Kind of depressing that I feel the same as when I weighed 245. But kind of happy that my scale, when I first got on kept flickering between 230 and 231 before settling on 231.6 (I round up to smooth over differences). So most definitely heading in the right direction! Also somewhat pleased that I kept to my food plan despite a neighbor bringing over 2 dozen cookies. I did eat one, but only one, and that could fit. Just ate it r e a l l y slowly. The rest will go to the grand daughter. Will be so happy to lose the 230's and proceed to the 220's.

I was stunned to see this number this morning! It's the lowest I've been in probably 3 decades (though I was just slightly more 2 years ago, before I did a metabolism reset). I don't know that it will stick -- my calories were artificially low yesterday as I had to fast 12 hours for early morning blood work -- but still!!! It's a rainy Friday here, but I'm hurting slightly less and feeling much more hopeful after seeing the integrative doctor yesterday. I'm hoping to work on my home (only!) office today and then shop for a standing (adjustable) desk -- I'm finally feeling like getting back to work on my next book. Have a lovely weekend, all!

Happy Saturday! The first flower is blooming on my new climbing rose - I'll take that as a happy omen. And although my stated goal for this round is to maintain, with any loss a bonus, I'm secretly hoping to hit 142 by the end. But I am adding some calories - I've been a bit too low. My actual weight is dancing around a bit, but my moving average is steadily dropping -- it's now 143.1. Yay! At least something worthwhile has come of my medical misadventure. One of the things I'm now doing religiously (rather than haphazardly like before) is to practice daily stress-control, including mediation, listening to music that lifts me up, and reading/listening to VERY little news. Oh, and cuddling my lovely Lily helps a lot. She would even let me chew her bone if I wanted to.

I'm starting on an extra strength dose of curcumin today per my new doctor (since I have declined to take prednisone, at least for now). Hoping it brings down the inflammation & pain. (I'm using Terry's Naturally brand Curamin Extra Strength.) Anyone have experience with it? I'll say one thing - I'm glad don't still have those extra 75 pounds weighing on my sore joints. If you're aiming to lose significant weight, keep at it - the result are worth the effort on so many levels!

7/21 - 193lbs. ate okay yesterday since wife wanted the salmon leftovers. I made a salmonwich with water chestnuts and fat free ranch dressing. I Love eating the foods I hunt, fish, and gather. Broke down and picked up some adult beverage at 8pm. Not even close to reaching my goal.
