Finally back to my starting weight for August! I'm okay with that given my circumstances!12 -
It happened today....WHOOSH! 199.2!!!!!!
My first peek at ONEderland!
I will likely fluctuate up and down for a week or two before the average starts with a 1, and that is OK.
20 months of MFP and this challenge thread every month have helped tremendously. I still have a while to get to goal, but this psychological barrier is coming down!!!
I will check in again on Sunday as usual, but I had to share today!

Ultimate goal : Undecided, still way too many to go. At this point, I go for 8% body weight loss, then keep resetting.

August 11 258 I was in the zone this week total focus
August 18 I have surgery on the 13th and will be sporting a 12 day casetn right arm so not weighing in on the 18th.
August 25 My goal with surgery is to not gain anything to maintain or lose a pound for a stretch goal for month.
I lost .5 of a pound, I was amazed really. Because I got heavy duty medication for the pain. And good grief it sure bound up my insides.
So total for August I lost is 7.8 lbs.
I weigh in on Saturdays.

August 5 - 162.5 - I ate quite a lot but was also very active. happy the scale agrees
August 12 - no scale this week so who knows?
August 19 - 159.6 - not bad! One more week to go and I am going on vacation (maintenance break)
August 26 - 158.3 - and this ends the August challenge for me - didn't make it to August goal weight but it's ok - the goal was probably too ambitious!

As I posted the other day, I zoomed into ONEderland this week! 2 days in a row. I am 200 even today, that is OK it fits my pattern. I expect to fluctuate a bit before that 2 is in my rear-view mirror for good. I am also headed out on vacation next weekend so my routine will be derailed. We'll see how I do, but either way, when I return, I will go back to doing what I am doing.
My routine is already off because I am not out fishing this weekend, we are getting things in order for our trip.
Highest weight ever: 254 in October 1999.
Lowest since 1999: 195.
Original starting weight: 243 in 2015.
MFP Starting weight December 25th, 2016: 233
Goal: 180 in however long it takes.

Hang in there! Stepping up exercise makes my scale go up temporarily, too, but we get stronger & then can exercise more easily and with more strength in the future!
Many of us have found a 2-3 to even a couple week lag between our conscious calorie eating & the scale drop. Looking at long term averages tells the story! I look at monthly average weights,4 -

@MadisonMolly2017, Thanks! I just do what I need to do every day and accept what the scale tells me each morning. I have always been in tune with my body, but now have become more finely tuned. I don't stress over fluid retention (even though I post about it) and I don't crave foods. I am so much calmer about my weightloss this time. I sometimes thought, Oh, I won't make 5lbs this month, but it's not a problem. Goals, at times, seem to cause stress. So, no goals for me. I join the goal oriented challenges to document my loss by week.2

Hang in there. Plateaus happen. Your body may be adjusting. You may feel changes, weight shifting, clothes feeling looser even if the scale doesn't say so. Keep at it, things will move again.
