I'm definitely in! This will be my 7th round Expecting a small bump up in weight this round or that it will move slowly, since I lost so much last round.USW 6th of May: 210 lbs
UGW: 144 lbs
Challenge goal weight: 174 lbs
Previous rounds:
R39 SW: 196.2 lbs EW: 190.7 lbs (-5.5)
R46 SW: 185.8 lbs EW: 183.4 lbs (-2.4)

8/26 – 175.3 lbs Today I am wearing a tank top in my own house for the first time in many years. I wasn’t even comfortable with wearing a tank top when I was home alone! I’m so motivated again after the huge loss last round.
8/27 - 174.8 (-0.5) I am just feeling so motivated right now. Went out and bought new a new exercise outfit today (as my old ones were sizes XL-XXL and now I’m a M-L). Was so happy trying on clothes, that I could have bought everything they had if my economy wasn’t crying for help hahah. It’s an indescribable feeling to actually feel good when trying on clothes. Finally starting physical therapy tomorrow and I’m so excited I’m not sure I’ll be able to sleep tonight. Really hope it can help with my super low blood pressure and my fainting. (I have Addison’s disease! )
8/28 - 173.9 (-0.9) I have no idea what’s going on here, but I’ll take it! I was stuck on 180+- for 2 months and now I’m just flying through 170? That’s fine by me! 😅 Did nothing else than reduce my carb intake and eat more fat/protein. Exact same calorie intake. Going to the gym to meet my physical therapist in an hour. Update on how it went tomorrow 😄 Super excited! Hope everyone has a nice day.
8/29 – 173.2 (-0.7) Physical therapy yesterday was awesome. Focused on balance and core. We decided that it’s smart to focus most on butt, hips and legs to start with. She was so awesome and understanding and didn’t want to pressure me until i faint. Gonna see her again on Friday :-D Aiming for exercise 5 times a week in the long run, but I have to build up a bit first.
8/30 – 173.0 (-0.2) I get so inspired by all the people who come here everyday and write about their journey. It means everything to read about your goals, weaknesses and strengths and not to mention the motivation behind your weight loss. Keeps me super motivated everyday. I have never been as motivated as I am after I joined MFP. Earlier I could go on these powder diets and feel like I was starving for a few weeks, then I would totally come crashing down with just a big feast of food.. And gain even more weight than I lost! Now, I'm looking at it on a whooole other level and I feel really good. I'm never hungry and I eat food that tastes good and does my body good. I can thank the myfitnesspal community for that. You truly are an inspiration
8/31 - 173.0 (—) After the weight going down everyday for two weeks, this is totally expected. Worked out for 30 minutes today. Balance training and legs/butt/arms. Feels really good, but I get very tired after! Think I actually have to take a little nap if I’m going to survive this Friday 🤭
9/01 - 174.0 (+1.0) I think it's my time of the month very soon.. I have not done anything that could explain this. Ate less than my calorie goal and worked out (didn't eat back workout calories). This fluctuation will probably pass soon
9/02 - 173.5 (-0.5) I was very correct about it being my time of the month Craving carbs like crazy! But eating more protein and oatmeal for breakfast really helps. Not stressing about the weight at all, this will fix itself when my lady troubles are over. I'm logging, staying under my calorie goal and exercising everyday.

8/30- 204
8/31- 203 : yesterday was probably just inaccurate- I definitely ate too much junk. I have a habit of being good with my meals then suddenly starving after 7pm and then having sweets and peanut butter 😫. I just have to eat more protein during meals to sustain my hunger because of breastfeeding. Eating sweets is not satisfying to anything other than my sweet tooth 😏
9/01- 202.5 (scale only goes by .5 intervals)- I watched my sugar and fat intake..definitely didn’t think it was enough for improvement.
9/02 - back to 203 which is no surprise after a very late night Oreo McFlurry 🧐 must remind myself that these things aren’t worth the money or the calories!

R49--AW: 220.7 (-) EW: 221.3 (-)
R50--AW: 219.7 (-1) EW: 218.9 (-2.4)
Goal: Be conscious of my snacking in the evenings.
8/26--218.4 Zumba was great yesterday. Installing the closet organizers yesterday took longer and was a lot more work then I thought, but so far so good. I was so focused on the closet yesterday that I hardly drank any water...I can definitely feel it this morning. Plan is to finish putting up the wall paper and installing some more of the closet organizer. I am so sore from yesterday that the plan, assuming the rain holds off, is to go for a long walk.
8/27--219.3 I don't know where that weight came from, I can only assume it's the lack of water I had over the weekend and the soreness from working on the closet organizer...which is now 2/3 done. Regardless, my weight trend is still downward. Forgot to bring my running shoes for a lunch time walk, so going to Zumba tonight and hopefully work on the closet a little this evening.
8/28--220.0 Late check in. Went for walk yesterday with dog. Did some more work on closet and relaxed for rest of evening.
8/29--220.6 Hmmm, I have been feeling heavy these last 3 days and it is showing in the scale. No idea why. This has happened before so I need to figure out why. The first thing I can think of is my water, I have not been drinking my same level of water over the past 3 days as I usually do, so that is the first thing I will make an adjustment to and then see what happens. Regardless of the weight increase I have been eating within my calorie goals, so that is a positive.
8/30--219.7 Feeling less heavy today. Went to yoga yesterday. I am increasing my water today and will see what happens. Plan is long walk this evening.
8/31--218.6 Feeling so much better. I was just telling my husband yesterday how when I used to have that heavy feeling all the time it was so normal and now I feel so uncomfortable when I have that heavy feeling. Went for a walk last night and, assuming it stops raining, I will go out for another walk tonight.
9/01--218.2 Saw the scale flash in the 217's. Going to Zumba this morning and then off to a friend's child's birthday party later today. My plan for the party is to drink nothing but water, limit myself to one dessert, and then take a long walk after the party.
9/02--218.2 Other than the fact the walk wasn't very long, I followed the plan from yesterday.

9/02 - 179.8 Still not going to the bathroom or sleeping. I haven’t had more than 4.5 hours of sleep in weeks. Last night my fitbit showed 2 hours 27 minutes which is on target with my calculations. Most of the time I feel pretty good and don’t seem to need more than that. But then it catches up to me. I’ve been tired for a few days now. And still have #2 problems (I know, TMI). Dr. put me on the prenatal vitamins (1/2 pill per day) for hair loss but I am taking them at night so it is 12 hours from when I take the morning thyroid. It is likely interfering with my sleep. On the diet plan side, I caved in to the brownies (thank Goodness they are gone now!). But I have my grandson’s birthday BBQ bash today. I’m worried about that. I also had extra sodium yesterday.
I just want to get more in control of my food habits especially when I have social engagements or am outside of my home. I want that even more than I want to lose weight. We all know that if we cannot control our food choices and/or our food addictions and weaknesses, the weight loss will not be sustainable and our health will always be compromised. I’ve got to stop caving in. My autistic son is 22 now. But he needs me for a long time to come. My breast cancer has been in remission for a few years now. But sugar feeds cancer. And post menopausal women store estrogen in fat cells, so the heavier I am, the higher chances I have of recurrence. I’ve got to beat this vicious cycle for my son’s sake. My daughters need me too. And all my grandbabies. This has not been the greatest round for me. If I stay mindful, I may make my goal. But I’ll have shown no improvement in my control. I am not trying to make excuses, but the T2D makes things difficult too. When the sugar lows hit, it is blind grabbing and stuffing your face. My glucose numbers have improved, my medications have been reduced, and things are getting better on that front. But it’s still something I have to deal with everyday. Here goes me flexing my honesty muscles: YESTERDAY’S STATS: 101 Net Carbs (s/b 25 or less). 1596 Calories In / 2694 Calories Out. 13,559 total steps. 5.76 total miles. 13/13 (250) Fitbit step hours. Intermittent fasted 16:8. I took a 1.5 mile brisk walk with my son in the neighborhood. Overall, it would not have been a bad day if I had not ate 4 days worth of carbs in one sitting! I hope everyone in the US is enjoying their holiday weekend. Thanks to everyone EVERYWHERE for listening to my rant. I hope others out there who experience some of these things know they are not alone and that we can fight together! I'm off to wrap some presents Lord Help Me Today.

BTW -- if you've read previous posts (few as they have been) I HAVE BEEN like 200 lbs. ....I still can't believe these numbers, but I am so damn happy to have gotten here. Keep going everyone -- it is SOOOO worth it! Don't wait decades like I did....11 -
In for my 8th Round!

Round 45 End Weight = 164.9 (0.9 lbs lost)
Round 46 End Weight = 159.6 (5.2 lbs lost)
Round 47 End Weight = 157.2 (2.4 lbs lost)
Round 48 End Weight = 155.2 (2.0 lbs lost)
Round 49 End Weight = 151.2 (4.0 lbs lost)
Round 50 End Weight = 149.9 (1.3 lbs lost)
Stats = 5'4 female, age 48
Highest Weight = 172 lbs
Initial Goal Weight = 139 lbs (last weighed this is 2013)
Ultimate Goal Weight = 129 lbs (last weighed this in 2011)
Round 50 Goal: Anything under 149.0
Exercise Plan = The Betty Rocker 90 Day Challenge (in weeks 6-7 of 12), run outside 3-4 times a week, get 8,000-10,000 steps/day
Nutrition Plan = Continue to limit gluten, dairy, sugar, diet soda, alcohol & eat non-processed foods, protein/fruit/veg at every meal, complex carbs at breakfast and post workout meal, drink plenty of water.
8/26 = 149.9 (no change from yesterday) My sleep and nutrition are struggling, those go hand in hand. I've not going enough sleep since Wednesday of last week and my nutrition choices are suffering for it. I haven't been going over calories, just not make the best choices. I plan to grocery shop and do some meal prep today and get this under control. I completed day 35 of my 90 day challenge exercises yesterday, so it is the start of week 6 exercises on the plan today. School starts back here this Thursday and I'm really looking forward to it for selfish reasons. As soon as my daughter gets on the bus, I have time in the mornings before work to be able to get a quick run in or go for a walk. Summers are hard for me getting my runs in because even though she is 12, I can't leave her home alone even for a quick run and my husband is rarely home due to work. Wishing everyone a great start to Round 51!
8/27 = 149.9 (no change from yesterday) This seems to be a pattern the last couple of rounds, sticking at a certain weight for a couple of days at the beginning. No worries here Yesterday was a great exercise day, went for a 2 mile run, a 2 mile walk and did day 36 of 90: Body Squat to Knee Lift Crunch, Inchworms, Side Lunge to Front Lunge, Supermans with Alternating Extensions, Wall Hold Ups, Ninja Side Kicks, & Get Ups. My run felt really strong yesterday, I could feel new strength in my quads when I hit some hills. As a "recovering" distance runner, it has taken a while to settle in to doing these short runs instead but I am re-discovering my love of running in the process. It is much easier to love something that is making your body feel stronger compared to distance running which had evolved into something that was just taking a toll on my body with injuries. "Run often, run long, but never outrun your joy of running."
8/28 = 149.9 (no change from yesterday) So still holding at this number...Yesterday was a rest day in my exercise challenge and I ate closer to maintenance for calories. I am predicting the scale will drop tomorrow Today, I have day 38 of 90 exercises and I plan to get a walk in as well. I also took my measurements this morning. When I 1st started, I was taking these every 5 days, but have dropped to taking every week/week & half. I looked back to my start measurements on 6/14 and WOW! I have lost 5.5 inches on my waist & 6.5 inches on my bust. My measurements have decreased all over but those are the 2 biggest changes. Feeling very inspired now, if you haven't already done this, start now, take your measurements!
8/29 = 149.9 (6th day at this weight) Well, let's officially call it, I'm at a plateau. I feel like there is nothing left to do but ride this out, I'm doing everything I need to do to lose weight, so just going to let nature take it's course. The scale will drop eventually, I have plenty of weight left to lose. I'm in a okay mindset about this, so all is good here. The awful heat and humidity returned here this week, they are even delaying school openings today in some nearby cities but thankfully today should be the last day of it. My daughter starts school tomorrow, 7th grade! I can't believe it, really hoping for a great year for her. Last year was very difficult for her academically, socially, & emotionally. But she seems to be excited for school to start, has a small group of good friends now, and she got a advisor that she really likes, so all signs point to a good start. And with the start of school tomorrow, so ends my summer sleep-ins. We'll be up 1 &1/2 hours earlier, ACK! So that means an earlier weigh-in time too, interested to see what happens on the scale tomorrow. Stay strong everyone! "Strength doesn't come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't do."
8/30 = 150.4 (up .5 from yesterday) Earlier weigh-in time, I thought the scale would be a little higher and it was. But here's the thing, our weight fluctuates all day long, the number we see and choose to accept for that day is just a glimpse of where we are in our daily weight range. I track my weight with a trending report and today's trending average is 151.18, if I'm under that then I'm technically in a downward trend (i.e. losing weight). And I'm under that, so calling it a success. Sometimes, I see people post that they couldn't weigh-in everyday because they "couldn't face the scale" that often or it would make them too obsessed with the numbers but I think in actuality what weighing-in everyday does is make you understand that fluctuations happen and that a number is a number, it does not define your progress or your efforts. This week I decided to try on clothes that I have not worn since I was about 144 pounds, even though I weigh about 5 pounds more that that currently. They all fit. So I decided to try on clothes that I have not worn since I was in the 130's and guess what, they fit too! Bodies change and hold weight differently, especially as we age but also as our diets and exercise habits change. I'm as slim now at this weight as I was when I was 15 pounds "thinner". Anyway, those are my thoughts for the day, but don't get me wrong...I would still really like the scale to show a loss soon And I know that it will.
8/31 = 149.0 (down 1.4 from yesterday) Whoosh, that's more like it! Yesterday was a great exercise day, got in a short run and completed day 40 of 90 exercises: Down Dog Flow with Alternating Legs, Alternating Squat Lunges with High Knee, Fighter Combo: Jab, Cross, Jab, Knee, Sumo to Switch, Tricep Dips with Alternating Leg Raises, Prisoner Squats with Side Knee Drive, Total Core Domination II, & Surfer Pop Ups with Push Ups. However it was such a junk food day...I was STARVING all day after breakfast, I blame being up earlier than I am used to. On a typical day, I eat very healthy foods, & if I want to be more indulgent it is usually with something deliciously homemade not processed. But not yesterday, my body was craving junk food, so that's what I ate. I raided my daughter's school lunch food...mac & cheese (lunch), a burrito (snack), and then barbecue potato chips (dinner), GROSS! But happy to report, no binging occurred and I stayed within (slightly under) my calories for the day. And I have no interest in eating like that today, back to my body craving a green smoothie which is more my norm. "It's about creating healthy eating habits, rather than restrictions."
9/01 = 148.6 (down .4 from yesterday) Hello September, I've got big plans for you! This is the month that I will reach a healthy BMI range. I'm just a few pounds away from this, technically still in the overweight range which my mind has always processed in the past as you are a fat person, which is not helpful. Although now, while I know that I am still overweight, I no longer feel like a "fat person" and whatever the negative connotation this had for me is gone. (The negative feeling is an internal one only, I'm not judging anyone else). Just feel now I am a work in progress, being kinder to myself is something I have to work at doing, but it really has been such an enormous part of my weight loss success so far. I read a quote earlier this morning that talked about instead of thinking about what "you have to do" think instead of it as what "you get to do". Thinking in more positive terms can bring about all sorts of amazing changes. I "get to do" a hard workout today, because I have spent the last couple of months making good choices that have strengthened my body and this is now what it is capable of. Have a great weekend everyone, looks for ways to be kind to yourself and grateful for this journey!
9/02 = 148.4 (down .2 from yesterday) Yesterday was an all around good day, lots of good exercise and ate really well. I usually will have a glass or two of wine 1-2 times a week and one of those days is usually on Saturdays but didn't even feel like it yesterday. I haven't had any alcoholic drinks since last Monday, which I think is always so helpful in weight loss, not to be drinking your calories. Today, I have day 42 of 90 workout then tomorrow moves on to week 7 of 12. I'm about halfway done with the 90 day challenge and I have to say it's hard mentally. I much prefer a 30 day challenge, seems so much less daunting. But I will persist and get this done and then have this to look back on as a sign of strength when future 30 day challenges seem hard. "Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength."

Day/Weight/Comment
8/26, Sunday – 160.8 Last night was at our friends’ fiftieth wedding anniversary do – all 5 hrs of it. Fun but long and even though I was careful on the food, lots of extra salt and sugar. Hope this is mostly water weight but haven’t been all that careful this week so it may be payback.
8/27, Monday – 159.2 Maybe I can make it under 159 this time.
8/28, Tuesday – 159.2 Determined to sew myself a pair of pants today so I have something nice that really fits and in a color I like. I've sewn in the past but never pants for myself - I know there will be fitting to do but if I can successfully navigate that, it's a relatively easy sew.
8/29, Wednesday – 159.4
8/30, Thursday – 160.8
8/31, Friday – 160.8 Still working on the pants for this trip. Had no idea that doing proper alterations would take so long but they are coming along nicely. Feeling draggy today likely b/c I’ve been nibbling on snacks (bought for the trip – what ‘trip’ have I been on? Should have known better than to buy them ahead of time. At least they are relatively low calorie.)
9/01, Saturday – 159.8
9/02, Sunday – 159.8, Well the number is sticking in there but I’ve almost got the pants done – not perfect but nice ‘slim but not tight’ fit that I was looking for. Just hem and waistband facing to do. Have to admit though, I had no idea how many alterations there are to check in a simple pair of pants if you are very short and have a lot of curves to go around - nor how long it would take to do them.
9/03 – off on a trip so no computer or scale
9/04 - away

Round 51 (#15)
I typically don't set goals because I find myself sabotaging them. Stupid, I know, but it's true. Challenge goal:Stop binge eating my trigger foods which are too numerous to list.#37: 142.6 - 137.4 = -5.2

I love to cook and find it very rewarding to create dishes that are tasty and fit into most eating plans. My date leans more towards Paleo which is fine with me. The roasted potato dish was 1/3 vegetables and helped round out the meal to prevent overeating.

8/30: 136.0, late dinner and too many calories. No junk food, just too much. I’m never really satisfied with any meal, no matter how amazing it may be. I’m beginning to think I have a problem with the hormones responsible for satiety.

8/26 - 154.5 - I've got a birthday party today, cataract surgery tomorrow, and a picnic next Sunday. I'm hoping I can drop a little weight this round with all the events this week.
8/27 - 155.5 - I think I ate around maintenance calories last night, so this was probably some water retention. I had my cataract surgery this morning and then I ate the leftover birthday food today, so tomorrow probably won't be any better.
8/28 - 156 - Ouch! Hopefully I can get back to work tomorrow and get back on track.
8/29 - 156 - I'm not feeling quite confident enough to get to work today, but I've been staying on track with my food the past couple days. I hope the weight goes back down soon.
8/30 - 155 - I'm back at my office and hopefully the weight will keep going back down. We're having a surprise out of town guest staying with us for the next few days, so I'll have to be mindful while we're entertaining him.
8/31 - 155.5 - I stayed within my weight loss calories, but I had one drink with my daughter to celebrate her birthday and then later in the evening, a glass of wine to celebrate my stepdaughter's possible home purchase. I always watch my calories so I can have a glass of red wine every evening with my husband. It is interesting how just one extra drink always seems to bump up my weight.
9/01 - 156
9/02 - 155 - I weighed yesterday, but didn't have time to post. I'll try to catch up on everyone's comments sometime soon. We've had a crazy few days and it's not getting any better for the next couple. I'll try to keep the calories at maintenance through tomorrow.

Uh Oh! That started to happen to me. We would tighten up the batteries and it would seem to work better for a while. My old scale was showing me that I was losing weight. Then it just wouldn't register my weight. It did register my husbands. We replaced it. My new scale showed I hadn't lost anything. Every time I got on it in the next few days it would go up a pound. It got above my highest weight. I have now started getting it down. It is about where I was when I thought I was starting to lose. I recommend you buy a new scale. Best wishes.0 -
Day/Weight/Comment
8/26 - 121.6 Had a lot going on (again). I was able to stick to my plan of no added sugar. Telling myself "I'm done eating" is difficult. The worst time of the day is at night... it seems like once I eat, I continue eating. The "Kitchen is Closed" sign is going to have have a padlock on it! Goal is to live this life for God and to be continually thankful for the life he has given me. I need to take care of this body in the best way I can. Sometimes my mind gets a little obsessed with food and I cave in. Yes, I know what I am supposed to do, but it is so hard and sometimes I give in which creates a spiraling effect.
8/27 - 121.6 – got a nice bike ride in. VERY humid and did the “big” hill!
8/28 – 123 – Did good yesterday and am thinking the weight gain is due to salt. I guess we’ll see tomorrow! Swam 30 minutes this morning, so I’m off to a good start! 14 mile bike ride.
8/29 – 123 – Not happy that the weight didn’t go down. Food was good but I need to drink more water. Night time (after dinner) is still an issue. Goal for today is to stop eating when my calorie max is reached. Did water aerobics this morning with a bike ride planned for this afternoon. 22 mile bike ride
8/30 – 121.8 – Finally! Food was in line with my plan yesterday. Swam 20 minutes this morning. Bike ride (commute) today and group ride tonight. Update: Had a headache all afternoon, didn’t go to the group ride and went to bed right after dinner.
8/31 – 123.8 - ?? Maybe wine? Normally don’t have a glass but my body seems to be extremely “weight” reactive to anything “not on plan”. Ok. No more. Plan is to eat clean and stay on plan… only 5 more days left. I can do this! This morning I swam for 30 minutes and biked (commuted) for 45. Weather is nice and may bike to a friend’s to kayak. 😊
9/01 - 123.8. Really tired yesterday. Biked 40 minutes yesterday but was really tired. Overate, probably due to being tired and trying to “rev up the engine”. Not a good thing. I have to learn to only eat when hungry. I once read that “if you’re not hungry, food isn’t going to fix it”. I need to think about that more before I put food into my mouth. Did water aerobics for 60 minutes this morning. Love that class and the people in it. Attending a funeral today and closing our pool down. The weather is dark & dreary… not looking good for the next two weeks and there is no sense heating the pool for that kind of weather. This is my least favorite time of year as it is a visible reality that winter is coming! New vow: Try to change my mindset to look at life in a more positive manner! Goal for today: only eat when hungry! Smile!
9/02 – 121.0. Glad the weight came back down. Swam for 30 minutes this morning as we just didn’t have enough time to close the pool down yesterday. Today is the day and the rain is holding off, so we (hubby) should have enough time to close it. It’s like saying goodbye to an old friend for a long time. On to a new routine! Bad headache this morning, possibly due to poor sleep last night. Goal for today: Only eat when truly hungry and only at planned meal times, not because I’m tired or have a headache. No eating after supper. Only two days left on this round I want to kill it!

Round 51
OSW: 266 lbs
UGW: 150 and then see what makes sense.
IGW: 199 lbs
CGW: below 260 lbs
Goals
1. stay under calorie goal and tweek meals
2. up water intake
3. increase exercise
4. get enough sleep
My Story
I lost 40 lbs slowly during the economic downturn by exercising an hour a day and logging. As the economy improved I started to get job offers so that I was working 2 on-call jobs with commutes for a while. I gained most back. Then I got the stable wonderful full-time job I have now. As I do typically with a new job I lost 10 pounds at first but couldn't keep it off also typical. Then I stopped the gain. I even turned it around. However I had a run in recently with an old bad scale so I am starting all over again to stop and turn things around yet again. See below. I have done that but I am determined to very quickly get back the progress I had thought I had achieved in Round 49. I was in the mid 250s I thought. My son is sending me on a Caribbean cruise the end of the month and I want to be in the 240s. I have heard that cruises are not the place to lose weight so I want to have some room. I like to lose my weight slowly and steadily but not this month.

9/02: 262.2 right direction but not enough to reach my goal, I drank more water, I am getting more rest, I got hungry last night after a soup and salad dinner and had popcorn with just a little coconut oil and salt. I plan to do some more cooking today to have healthy food to start the week. We had work done on our home earlier this past week and I need to find my gym bag. Haven't been able to get to aquafit. This weekend I am trying to put my house back together.

Have thought about increasing my calories a little. I am currently not taking any vitamins because they have always made me sick, but I may have to try them again.

I get sick when I have vitamins too. My Mom had us take them growing up. She wasn't a good cook but she knew nutrition. We never got colds or flu. But now I get bad headaches. I seem to be able to take somethings like vitamin D a must in Seattle. So I too would like to take them again but hard to experiment when the result it a migraine or something like it. Take care.

Round 5 for me
SW:215lbs
UGW: 140lbs
Aims for this round - to exercise at least 5 out of the 10 days and to lose at least another 2lbs. My new mini goal is190lbs but I don't intend to lose it quickly as I'd rather lose it slowly so it stays off. So I'll aim for 195-194 for this round.
Good luck everyone
8/26 197.7- 1lb up from yesterday - not making the right choices with food. I used to keep a food diary and think I need to go back to this to see where I'm going wrong. No workout / lazy day.
8/27 198- 0.3 up on yesterday's weight... hopefully I'll start to go down now, as this usually the pattern ( I hope)
8/28 198- no change - better than going up!! Planning to go swimming tomorrow, as I say need to start moving and by telling my daughter she will nag me until we go.
8/29 198- again no change- went swimming, which was great..planning to do a dancing routine ( not sure which one yet).. trying to find an exercise that I enjoy and will fit in with work when I start back next week, so I can kick this number out the window. Used the MFP diary today.
8/30 196lbs - down 2lbs - I think that I wasn't eating enough and my body was holding onto fat as it thought it was staving ( I wasn't hungry). I've come to this conclusion because I ate more yesterday and the weight has started to drop again. I also upped my level of water to 3.5 litres and exercised. I will continue to track my meals and see what happens today. I'm not expecting another drop tomorrow, but I'm hoping to maintain this weight (that would be good).
8/31 195.2 lbs - so pleased to see my target weight for this round. It's my son's 17th birthday today, so we're going out to one of our favourite restaurants. It is a buffet style, so I'm sure that will trial to eat well. I do intend to enjoy the evening as my son is going away next year and I won't be with him for his 18th. I'll have to work off the extra pounds that I gain over the next few days... just hope that is not too many.
9/01 197lbs - I knew it was going to happen- I didn't eat as much as I would usually eat at the buffet, but I know that when other people make the food they would add more salt than I would usually have (I don't add salt in my cooking, due to a high blood pressure)- did drink loads of water yesterday ... but didn't drink enough today. Hoping the pounds will start to shift in the next few days.
9/02 197lbs - better than going up - still not enough water today, but more than yesterday

25/08: 166.8 : Goals ✅ 😂😍 ✅ Goal Achieved! It's so good to be in a lower decade. My round means are on a downward trend. Roll on Round 51
Round 51 GW: <166.8
26/08: 167.1 : Goals ✅ This seems to happen ever time I have a whoosh. At least my mean weight is steadily decreasing each round.
27/08: 167.4 : Goals ✅ weekend bounce! Too many carbs! I must find a way to avoid this for the next month!
28/08: 166.6 : Goals ✅ I'm gonna wait and see if this sticks before I jump up and down!
29/08: 166.8 : Goals ✅
30/08: 166.5 : Goals ✅
31/08: 166.7 : Goals ✅ This is part of the pattern I have noticed. A small whoosh, a bounce up, small daily fluctuations, another small whoosh, etc, etc, etc. The trend continues downward so learning to be less focused on the daily figure, and concentrating on the big picture.
Slightly over 60lbs discarded (not 'lost'. I ain't looking to get them back!); 12lbs to go to goal weight.
01/08: 166.6 : Goals ✅ On a plateau? Enjoy the view! (Note to body: I am losing weight!)
02/08: 166.8 : Goals ✅ Family dinner party last night, and I wasn't cooking. I was reasonably careful. But no idea how many calories I had.
03/08: xxx : Goals
04/08: xxx : Goals Start of 7 day vacation.
THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

Day/Weight/Comment
•8/26 - 183.4 - Fluid retention. Not enough sleep.
•8/27- 182.4 - Tired. Woke up with a slight headache from a couple of champagne cocktails that I drank. Long, but enjoyable day with my family yesterday. We celebrated the first of the end of Summer "cavalcade of birthdays" in our family.
•8/28 - 182 - And yes, still with the fluid retention, steadily coming down and the weight with it. I've never experienced this before. Today I'll update my MFP progress again to my Round 50 end weight.
•8/29 - 183.2 - Here's a weight I skipped. It found me. Thanks buddy. Lol.
•8/30 - 183.6 - The last 183 increment. FINALLY! My body is so peculiar. I did see 181 when I first stepped on the scale. Maybe I will settle to that weight by the end of this round. It depends on whether I have been the full 182 set or not.
•8/31 - 182.6 - 182.8 did show up for the first time. S-M-H. I had not been that weight before. My scale also showed 180 point something this morning. Not a lot of sleep last night. Stayed up late watching videos on coffee filter flower making, then spent time folding and dyeing a pkg of coffee filters. Expensive, time wise, but a LOT less expensive in $$. I think they will be perfect for my friends flower wall.
•9/1 - 182.6
•9/2 - 182.6 - Family birthday #3. Mine! Need to figure out this calorie count for today.
