@SheilaBoneham Good for you on the stubborness. Your resolve has taken you from 218.2 to 141. Good Job!
@melortez Welcome! You are doing great!
@tiabirdie56 You're right about the weight dropping back off after the mishaps. Thanks for keeping me out of a panic. I'm not perfect but it is becoming a lifestyle, slowly but surely, to eat healthier and with fewer carbs for glucose control. In the general scheme of things, every good choice I make still pays off. I continue to appreciate all of your guidance.
@angelawiedmaier Welcome to the best group challenge on MFP. I look forward to travelling on our journey together!
@jccimc63 Lol on the location of the scale.
@quiltingjaine Welcome back! You have been missed! Congrats on the 134 weight AFTER A CRUISE!!!!! You are an inspiration.

Stats = 5'4 female, age 48
Highest Weight = 172 lbs (June 18, 2018)
Initial Goal Weight = 139 lbs (last weighed this is 2013)
Ultimate Goal Weight = 129 lbs (last weighed this in 2011)
Round 52 Goal: Reach the "normal" BMI weight range, 144.9 or under
Exercise Plan = The Betty Rocker 90 Day Challenge (in weeks 7-8 of 12), run outside 3-4 times a week, get 8,000-10,000 steps/day
Nutrition Plan = Continue to limit gluten, dairy, sugar, diet soda, alcohol & eat non-processed foods, protein/fruit/veg at every meal, complex carbs at breakfast and post workout meal, drink plenty of water.
9/05 = 146.2 (no change from yesterday) Yesterday was a rest day in my 90 day challenge, much needed too! Today will be day 45 exercises and I had thought to get a short run in but my legs are giving me all the NOPES! So will have to wait another day for that. Only 2 more days left for this forecast-ed horrible heat wave, bring on Fall, I want the cooler weather It makes exercising so much easier and I love running in cool temps. I'm excited for this new round, welcome to the newbies and welcome back to everyone else...."Every day is a new chance to change your life."
9/06 = 145.9 (down .3 from yesterday) Super busy day yesterday and didn't get my workout in until after 8 pm. I had hoped it would've been cooler by then but I was still a super sweaty mess after. This one was a hard workout, but felt so accomplished after completing it. Today is day 46 of 90 (halfway completed!) and is yoga which I love. This morning I noticed that I am feeling lighter in spirits as well as lighter in weight, being overweight had really affected my moods. I'm so happy to be feeling happy again
9/07 - 146.6 (up .5 from yesterday) Annoying, but not discouraging. Just normal, weird scale fluctuations, I'm used to these by now, but I would like to see it going in the other direction Patience. I'll wait for the scale to catch up and continue on kicking *kitten* with my workouts and making healthy choices with my eating. I also track with a weigh trending site and it had my trending weight yesterday a 149.03 and today 148.79, so even when the scale fluctuated up today, my trend is that I am still losing weight. "It does not matter how slow you go as long as you do not stop."
9/08 = 146.6 (no change from yesterday) Super late weigh-in today, great sleep in and there is a chill in the air this morning, such a nice change! I swapped my workout days and took yesterday as a rest day, so I've got a good challenging workout scheduled for today instead. I've been really low on my water intake the last couple of days, which is not normal for me, so need to focus better on that today as well. I'm still hoping even with the scale fluctuations this week, to make my goal of being in the "normal" BMI range within the next few days. I need to drop 1.7 pounds this round to accomplish this, totally do-able! Have a great weekend, everyone!
9/ 09 = 146.2 (down .4 from yesterday) So, the scale has settled back to the number I started this round on. Now hopefully it will start dropping again! I completed day 48 of 90 exercises yesterday and will do day 49 today which will complete week 7. Excited to start week 8 on Monday, I want to get through this!!! 90 days is hard, I will be sticking to 30 day plans from now on I went clothes shopping yesterday to a store I shopped for summer clothes in back in June before I started losing weight. I was a size 10 on bottoms and a size large for tops then and yesterday I was a size 6 for bottoms and a size small for tops. Super happy with this progress! I only bought a couple of things though because I still have a bit more weight to lose and these won't fit for too long hopefully. I also scored a dress, at a discount store, for my 15th wedding anniversary in October, it's a gorgeous Michael Kors black dress, original price $110, marked down to $29 - Bananas! Love it when that happens

9/08 - 177.6 Oh Glorious Day! I’m back! But today will be a challenge as I will be away on an out-of-town trip where restaurants are abundant. 9/09 - 178.2 My out of town excursion could have been worse. I can handle this bump up. What hurt more than the food choices was the lack of exercise and movement. Long car ride to and from. Ready to start my third round. This is a great challenge program. One day at a time!69 YO Texas Male
Highest Weight 290
Round 50 EW 277 (-13 lbs)
Round 51 EW 284 (+7 lbs)
Final Goal 190
9/5 - 284 lbs Up and down last challenge. Hit my goal 4 days in then went camping for five days and totally blew it. I cannot stay on this roller coaster and use getting off my routine as an excuse for return to terrible eating habits. Working on that through these challenges. Good stuff to keep me accountable. I almost didn't want to post anything as I am so disappointed for letting myself get so far off track these past few days. Key word here (ALMOST) I will stay accountable and keep working on it.
9/6 -279 (-5lbs) Well here comes the fluid drop. Good start to recovery from last week. Staying away from night snacking. My bad time as is with a lot of us it seems. Drinking lots of fluid today. Hate plain water so I go with Zero everything flavored water. Not bad.
9/7- 278 (-1lbs) Late getting to post today butHeading in the right direction again. Staying strict on my extreme low carb to get that hunger monster back in check. Evening snacking is still a problem for me. Seems to get the munchies every night and have to really work at not going for that snack. I would like to see that problem ease up and go away.
9/8 275 (-3lbs) Ok just one pound away from my challenge go this round. Now to just keep the scale pointed in the right direction instead of up, down, up, down.......
9/9 274 (-1 lbs) Yeah Goal hit! Bittersweet as that was my last round goal which I attained and then broke, but I'll take it and hopefully now will continue to drop before the end of this challenge round. Once again during the next challenge round I will be away camping for four days. This time I am determined to NOT go crazy and off this protein diet. Hope you all are doing well this weekend on your challenge.

9/09 - 279.2 Well, I’m not upset about the gain. I know I’m retaining water. Had more intake than out yesterday. Trying to up my water. Been tough, but I know I can do it. I WILL UP MY WATER INTAKE! 😛12 -

This is a long term thing, a few bad days or weeks is something I'm getting better at coping with.

This is my first challenge! Excited to see all the posts/ideas.
Goals:
1) drink at least 10 cups of water
2) take a daily multivitamin
3) 10,000 steps
4) slowly increase activity
Mindset: I want to lose 50 pounds total, but since every big goal needs smaller goals, I'm going to try to think of it as losing 5 pounds 10 times. So I'm going to think in 5 lb increments and my goal will be to get to my next benchmark goal each time.

Day/Weight/Comment
9/05 - 190.3 - well I just thought how yummy the baby carrots were that I just ate! On my way to adjusting my food thinking!
9/06 - 189.6 - did some reps with my hand weights yesterday and 45 min on elliptical. Slowly but surely...oh and also, I just ate homemade soup for dinner and I'm still hungry!!!
9/07 - 189.3 - about 30 min on the elliptical today - negatives - cheated with a few boneless wings...sigh; positives - good water intake, vitamins
9/08 - 188.9 - had lots of activity today - over 15,000 steps woohoo! Brought snacks with me, but treated myself for dinner to my favorite sorta cheat meal - sloppy joes with 90% lean ground beef, healthy life whole wheat buns, corn on the cob and baked beans; fair water intake - could have done better...
9/09 - 188.2 - did a 30 min circuit training workout this evening - I know I will feel it tomorrow! Still struggling to get all my water intake in...feeling hungry - workouts always do this to me...

Daily goals: stay under calories, 80 oz water, no eating past 6:30
Exercise goals: gym twice/ week
9/5 Wednesday, 194.7. -0.4 from yesterday and -1.3 from R51. I will take it after poor choices made over a 4-day weekend to the beach. Yesterday was great. I stayed under my calorie budget and did not eat anything after 6:30. Today's goal is to stay under budget and 30 minutes of cardio at the gym.
9/6 Thursday, 193.5 (-1.2). I think it is mostly water since I drank a lot yesterday and I was really shedding it all day and night. I felt terrible last night and did not work out but I did stay way under calories. Plan is to go tonight while daughter is in ballet. Even if I just walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes, it will be something.
9/7 Friday, 192.5 (-1) Now if I can just keep this up through the weekend. Wins from yesterday-- 30 minutes on the elliptical and passed up brownies that looking diet busting worthy! I am volunteering for 5 hours tomorrow morning/ afternoon to help cast my daughter's school play. So, my plan is to eat a healthy breakfast and to pack some healthy snacks since I know there will be junk food around.
9/8 Saturday, 192.4 (-0.1) I’ll take it. Went out for ice cream with the kids last night and indulged in a small cup. Today was a long day but I stuck to my plan and burned a bunch of calories shampooing carpet in 4 rooms. Hope to hold this weight through the weekend.
9/9 Sunday, 192.8 (+0.4) Up a little but it’s the weekend and I’m still under 193. Practiced some self care today with a 90 minute massage. DH took care of dinner since mom was off today. That means dinner out. Stayed under budget for the day but feel like there was a lot of sodium and expect to be up tomorrow.

9/05: 68.6 - That random fluctuation has come back down to normal levels
9/06: 68.4 - Keep dropping down. MFP has just told me that I've lost over 50% of my goal. That's pretty big to me. Been having a really tough time with the puppy the last few days, feeling tired, feeling hungry, feeling lazy. Had a glass of wine last night (really not very good wine, won't be buying that one again) but still kept within my range (all be it right at the top of it). Did a lot more standing and walking and heavy lifting yesterday than normal, so probably fine.
9/07: 68.0 - I do not deserve that. Yesterday wasn't a good day at all. Over all goals. Free breakfast at work (sausages sandwiches) so ate too much then. Saved some for lunch and so had that in addition to my actual lunch. Then I ate dinner even though I wasn't at all hungry. And had some wine. Sigh. Not good for the calories, but I'll get back on it today. The drop on the scales is definitely not fair on myself
9/08: 68.4 - Didn't get out the house, but the puppy had loads of energy yesterday so lots of running around in the garden and plenty of wandering about. Ate massively over my goals. My partner turned up with one of those cook yourself takeaway boxes, which did make logging the calories easy. But also made me realise quite how calorific those are. Half a box (one portion) was over my daily calorie allowance! However, I had a smaller naan and less rice and didn't eat all of the food there, so I've almost certainly over logged for it. Still.
9/09: 68.3 - Good day yesterday. Very busy with Judo, petting dogs and seeing family. Ate at my parents so wasn't in control of my meals. However, made a contentious effort to not overeat when given the option and had a small slices of cake instead of a large slices. And thanks to all that exercise I've ended up in the green anyway.
9/10: 67.8 - Lazy, lazy day. Spent most of it on the sofa trying to motivate myself to do something. And the rest running around after the puppy. Ate well though. Actually kept under my calorie goal, something that was slightly surprising to me as I didn't leave myself very much after breakfast and lunch. Luckily dinner turned out to be lower in calories than I thought it would be, and I even sneaked in a mini milk to my goals. Also: What? 67.x! This soon? I'm not complaining at all, but suddenly I seem to be finding this much easier. Definitely surprising considering I'm not continuously training as much as I used to.

9/07 - 85.5 kg (188.4 lbs)
Probably I didn't have enough water, I know that my weight is higher.
9/08 - 86.7 kg (191.1 lbs)
OK (Deep breath). Yeah, that's the number, I've not seen this much for a long time. I upset myself. I ate a veggie burger and drink beer and wine yesterday. Social drinking and eating... Actually most of the days I'm ok until evening. But after evening, I ate pizza, burger, pasta and drink alcohol etc. I should find something healthy in the evening. And also yesterday afternoon I binged because I don't feel good. However I went to the gym in the morning before breakfast, I think it's good.
9/09 - 86.1 kg (189.8 lbs)
Yesterday was also good until evening, but I drank alcohol again. Food is not bad. But alcohol has so many calories. However, I walked 15K steps. But also, yesterday night I got sick and lost so much water. I'm still not sure which one is my true weight.
9/10 - 86.2 kg (190 lbs)
Yesterday I was sick all day and couldn't move. Diet was kinda ok, just ate a little much in the evening again... But that was really ok than before. Because of being sick I still feel dehydrated and cannot drink enough water, I should have some new habits for that. And also I should start logging my food, I don't know why but I still don't want it. At least I'm in this challenge.

9/10 73 before run, ooops. 72 afterwards. But it's just a blip (waterweight?).
I took a couple of days off logging (sat&sun) after taking the emotional decision to quit my job. But had an NSV: I gave myself permission to eat whatever I wanted and I did not go completely crazy. Yes, I went over my cals, but my snacking went nowhere near as bad (uncontrolled) as my old ways, that is until I couldn't stop myself from scoffing down a whole snickers last night. But still a win, even if it isn't showing on the scales.
Also went boxing on Sun and didn't drink enough water. But started the week right with an early run and a feeling that leaving my job is the right decision and that will have a very positive impact on my mood and stress levels.13 -

05/09 Had a pretty active day yesterday, good logging too (tiny bit over - cardio hunger kills me everytime lol). Non-scale goal challenges going well so far this month. Today's aim is to finish at or under my calorie goal and get a good upper body workout in this evening before heading out on the water for an evening row.
06/09 Stayed under calorie goal yesterday, got a lot of exercise in (walked 7km, rowed a couple of km, upper body strength workout), macro split was perfect - for once - until I realised I didn't have as much cereal at home as I thought
10/09 Just back yesterday afternoon from taking part in The Great River Race in London (22 miles rowing from Millwall to Richmond) have some serious DOMS in shoulders and back so expect to be up a bit on the scale the next couple of days, was also carb-loading pre-race. Aim for today is to get back to normal macro split13 -
@Deviette I think when you're not training as much you can manage your hunger better or at least that's been my experience, my appetite when I am training heavily, particularly cardio is through the roof and I find it very difficult to not go up to Maintenance.

Round 48 SW 178.2
Round 49 SW 177.8
Round 50 SW 175.6
Round 51 SW 174.0
Round 52 SW 173.4
9/05 173.4/ I knew those 3 pounds were just water weight. I drank a lot of water yesterday, stayed within my calorie goals, and squeezed in a work-out. My boxing class starts again on Monday which should help me stay on track. My goal for this challenge is to be in the 171s, but I would love to get out of this decade. For anyone feeling discouraged, take a look at my SW for each challenge. My weight is all over the place during each 10 day challenge, but my SW shows the progress.
9/06 174.2/ I went over calories last night so I’m not too surprised by the gain. I’m hoping it goes down for tomorrow or Saturday as I tend to log a weight in MFP on either of those days.
9/07 173.4/ I’m logging my weight tomorrow and probably not going to see a loss over a pound which is what I want. We’re going out tonight to celebrate a friend’s birthday so I’m drinking water today and hoping to keep everything in moderation.
9/08 173.6/
9/09 No-Weigh-in
9/10 176.4/ This is starting to get really annoying every weekend, I can 100% point to the factors that cause this three pound “gain” every Monday but I haven’t figured out the best way to fix it. I’m starting to work out more this week and will need to focus on how to eat better and get more water Friday through Sunday.

Hmm, good point. I normally find that I'm less hungry on training days, but it probably balances itself out on the other days, I have noticed that given half the chance it's the day after my training days when my calories are over goals.4 -

9/9/18 -- 126.4 this morning! It was the silent disco my husband and I went to last night (NOT KIDDING! It was at a music festival -- many stages -- and great bands -- AND we got to dance with the college kiddos in a silent disco....my new love!! ) See y'all tomorrow!
9/10 -- weighed in at 127.0 this a.m. Not surprised -- football parties and snacking/beer did me in a little --but I did go to power yoga class which is why it's just a little up -- I'll take it. Will be back to 126 tomorrow. Busy day ahead and no football parties (or Guinness!)

9/07 178.6 Meals were all provided at work yesterday - full day of all meetings. So happy that this is not higher. Went for a lovely long walk with my son in the evening which was a great antidote to a day of sitting.
9/08 179.4 don't know why its up - stayed under cals yesterday. lots of stress at home today so i will have to work hard on not eating my feelings away. Did a boxing workout this morning hoping that will help.
9/09 180 I know it is just a matter of nature needing to take its course, but I still don't like it.
9/10 179.6 Feeling very sluggish. The weather has turned cold and grey, rain forecast all day - gonna have to find inspiration somewhere else today.
