Goal: Be conscious of my snacking in the evenings.
Day/Weight/Comment
9/05--218.4 Did some extra snacking yesterday evening. I think it was because I was feeling tired due to a restless dog during the night before. Now I know that being tired is a trigger to my snacking I will plan for next time. Still showing a downward trend. Yoga tonight.
9/06--218.2 I want to get back into doing C25K tonight. Between the excessive heat and bad air over the last couple of weeks I haven't done any running since July 1st and I really want to do a 5k this fall. So tonight I am going to take the dog out for a little running and walking.
9/07--218.4 Up and down and up again; however, I am weighing in less then my average weight last round. Yesterday evening I went out and did W3D1 of C25K even though I didn't want to, but then I remembered that I had posted here that I would do it. So guilt from internet strangers made me go out for my run...whatever works
9/09--218.2 Did some evening snacking that took me way over my calories...stress from work, but I'm now over that. Was looking over my diary and noticed that I am getting very little fiber and I can feel it. Today is Zumba, plan for some ways to slowly increase fiber in my diet, and make sure I get my water in.

9/5 / 221.8 / I'm a bit sore today and this is an early weigh in so the bump in weight is completely expected. I think this is going to be a sweet round. I hope everyone is feeling as optimistic as I am!
9/6 /221.8 / Second verse, same as the first! I was HUNGRY last night, but I was able to stay within calories and didn't gnaw on anybody.
9/7 / 220.2 / Early weigh in, so this is excellent progress. Got some terrible news yesterday that I'm still trying to process.
9/8 / 220 / That puts me at an even 32 pounds lost. I actually have ribs. Who knew?13 -

I have a sit/stand desk. I can't remember the brand. I go in phases. Sometimes I love using it standing. Other days I feel tired when I do. I used to have a stand all the time desk (I essentially stood the entire time I was studying for the bar). I feel like I think better when I'm standing, but the 100% standing desk did make my feet hurt.4 -

•9/5 - 182.8 - Gee, I thought I had posted this. My son called me for some reassurance concerning my DGD early this morning. He wasn't sure that she would be able to find her classroom. Kindergarten classes are at the very back end of the school. Parents cannot enter the school with the children. First child in elementary school parent jitters. His baby. Not quite 100 ozs of water yesterday, which is MUCH better than the last 4 or 5 days. I have a couple of homegrown cucumbers from a friend. I added some thin slices to my lemon water. Thanks, @puttyputty The desk I'm considering is sit-stand - ergonomics experts do suggest trading off, which makes sense to me. I also found a "dynamic" mat that gets great reviews - it encourages you to move a bit while standing at the desk, which also makes sense.1 -
I am a 49 year old 5'4" woman. I will be 50 by the time this round ends though. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. On the other hand when I look at the big picture and the averages it has been a consistent loss except for one round.

@savvyrose88 Have you identified where your excess calories are coming from? Are you able to divert your energy from the activity/behavior to something else? Is the culprit something you can substitute or eliminate?
LNS is my nemesis so I take a bubble bath when it feels overwhelming. I can't eat in the tub. Lol.
Watching a movie or show is a snacking trigger for me. I try to occupy my hands with crochet while I enjoy whatever I'm watching.
I switched from calorie laden beverages to iced tea and unsweetened seltzer water which has saved me 100's of calories.
The following subs helped me to shave off 100+ calories per meal:
bread or tortilla - lettuce leaf wrap (try romaine leaves for your taco shell)
rice - thinly shredded cabbage for Asian or Mexican (adds a nice crunch without changing the flavor), baby spinach for other savory dishes (wilts nicely when topped with hot food)
pasta - sautéed zucchini or summer squash for Italian (I sub the middle layers of lasagna noodles with zucchini)
mashed potatoes - mashed cauliflower (excellent with stroganoff and pot roast)
I still enjoy carbohydrates; I just prefer to take them in as a glass of wine or a beer. Some things I refuse to give up. Lol.
I hope this is helpful. All in all, it's the little things that have the most lasting impact.4 -

9/5 - 284 lbs Up and down last challenge. Hit my goal 4 days in then went camping for five days and totally blew it. I cannot stay on this roller coaster and use getting off my routine as an excuse for return to terrible eating habits. Working on that through these challenges. Good stuff to keep me accountable. I almost didn't want to post anything as I am so disappointed for letting myself get so far off track these past few days. Key word here (ALMOST) I will stay accountable and keep working on it.
9/6 -279 (-5lbs) Well here comes the fluid drop. Good start to recovery from last week. Staying away from night snacking. My bad time as is with a lot of us it seems. Drinking lots of fluid today. Hate plain water so I go with Zero everything flavored water. Not bad.
9/7- 278 (-1lbs) Late getting to post today butHeading in the right direction again. Staying strict on my extreme low carb to get that hunger monster back in check. Evening snacking is still a problem for me. Seems to get the munchies every night and have to really work at not going for that snack. I would like to see that problem ease up and go away.
9/8 275 (-3lbs) Nice drop after fasting yesterday. Ok just one pound away from my challenge this round. Now to just keep the scale pointed in the right direction instead of up, down, up, down.......

9/05 160 went over on calories yesterday and had a late dinner.
9/06 160 So often I feed the kiddos and get busy with household duties, put them to bed and realize I haven't eaten dinner (and then it's late). We used to all sit down and eat together, but since the new baby it's hard to do sometimes. Going to work on that. I always enjoyed sitting down as a family at dinner time. It'll also help that I'm not eating so late as well.
9/07 159 I was sooo happy to see this number this morning! Yesterday I did great with my water (90 oz/2.66 liters), I have been forgetting to drink it so haven't gotten as much as I should lately. Under on calories, only had half my daily sugar and around 90 carbs.
9/08 159.5 Good day yesterday but ate a little late last night. Today is game day, so there will be finger foods. Gonna try and not over eat.

9/05 = 146.2 (no change from yesterday) Yesterday was a rest day in my 90 day challenge, much needed too! Today will be day 45 exercises and I had thought to get a short run in but my legs are giving me all the NOPES! So will have to wait another day for that. Only 2 more days left for this forecast-ed horrible heat wave, bring on Fall, I want the cooler weather It makes exercising so much easier and I love running in cool temps. I'm excited for this new round, welcome to the newbies and welcome back to everyone else...."Every day is a new chance to change your life."
9/06 = 145.9 (down .3 from yesterday) Super busy day yesterday and didn't get my workout in until after 8 pm. I had hoped it would've been cooler by then but I was still a super sweaty mess after. This one was a hard workout, but felt so accomplished after completing it. Today is day 46 of 90 (halfway completed!) and is yoga which I love. This morning I noticed that I am feeling lighter in spirits as well as lighter in weight, being overweight had really affected my moods. I'm so happy to be feeling happy again
9/07 - 146.6 (up .5 from yesterday) Annoying, but not discouraging. Just normal, weird scale fluctuations, I'm used to these by now, but I would like to see it going in the other direction Patience. I'll wait for the scale to catch up and continue on kicking *kitten* with my workouts and making healthy choices with my eating. I also track with a weigh trending site and it had my trending weight yesterday a 149.03 and today 148.79, so even when the scale fluctuated up today, my trend is that I am still losing weight. "It does not matter how slow you go as long as you do not stop."
9/08 = 146.6 (no change from yesterday) Super late weigh-in today, great sleep in and there is a chill in the air this morning, such a nice change! I swapped my workout days and took yesterday as a rest day, so I've got a good challenging workout scheduled for today instead. I've been really low on my water intake the last couple of days, which is not normal for me, so need to focus better on that today as well. I'm still hoping even with the scale fluctuations this week, to make my goal of being in the "normal" BMI range within the next few days. I need to drop 1.7 pounds this round to accomplish this, totally do-able! Have a great weekend, everyone!
