    Strength training can but is not a absolute for hypertrophy. One can gain strength without size for quite a while.

    In all fairness this argument would go on with any gender the OP happened to be. When I asked & answered the OP, I didn't know what gender she was. It wasn't to you pointed out her gender was I then aware. Now that is irony ;).
