Ok, with this candy corn opener,
what is your plan for dealing with Halloween?

My 2 kids bring home about 20# of candy EACH! Many of them King-size bars!
We have a very generous neighborhood.

Tradition is that I get to "tax" them, by taking whatever candy I choose first.
Even if I don't tax them, there will still be almost 40# of candy in the house.

I do "encourage" (make) them donate 5+# to the soldiers.
That still leaves a lot of candy.

Also, we're going to a Halloween party, which of course means a lot of food and yes, MORE candy!

I can't run enough miles to offset the candy.
My will power is only so strong.

    Help.

I used to not be a candy addict until the last 2 years about (I blame my coworker who started 2 years ago and is a candy addict, we share an office). To get myself back in the swing of things I set 5 goals for October, one of which is no candy until Halloween. I did slip up and ate a mini tootsie pop on Tuesday, but I still counted that as a success as that is all I had and it was 17 calories. Not sure exactly what I will do AFTER halloween, but I may do candy only halloween, or 1 mini candy a day, but for me that triggers me to eat more of it, I also have most my families Birthdays in November (mine and 2 of my kids all within a week) so November other than birthdays and thanksgiving, Im probably just going to avoid junk food all together.

I put all of the candy in the outside freezer. I prefer not breaking my teeth on frozen candy so it takes away the instant gratification. Also since I don't see it I can put it out of my mind easier.
