Breakfast: nothing but keto coffee and butter and Mct oil
Snacks: baby bell light cheese
Lunch hand full of spinach, lettuce and 4oz of chicken or grass fed beef -and 2oz of cheese and broccoli
Dinner: same as lunch or just broccali and 4oz of chicken
Every freaking day why did I gain 5 freaking lbs 😢

Are you trying to maintain or lose?
Scale weight can fluctuate for any number of reasons - hormones in relation to your cycle, more sodium than usual, more volume of food, increase in amount or change in type of exercise...
You also don't mention how many calories you're eating. Your coffee alone could be hundreds of calories for all we know.
If you give us some more information - height, weight, age etc - we'll be better able to help you.7 -
I have to say, that sounds very dull.
Are you actually weighing and logging your intake correctly, or are you in the "keto is magic and I don't need to worry about calories" camp?
Plus, are you measuring yourself, taking photos, taking note of how your clothes fit? Is it your time of the month? Have you started a new exercise routine? There are many reasons for weight gain, including hormonal and water retention, and the number on the scale isn't everything. Measure your progress in other ways too!12 -
How often do you weigh yourself?
How long have you been doing this?
How much have you lost/gained in total so far?
<and, if this is not your long preferred way of eating... why are you making life so difficult for yourself?>1 -

Keto might help with PCOS.4

Some find that Keto or even low carb is beneficial for PCOS.
I was wondering about the crossfit, because if it was new, that could cause some water retention.
Are you close to TOM? I have had up to 10lb gain during that time. Usually only 5lbs, but sometimes more.2 -
You're not eating nearly enough calories. Your body has gone into "protection mode". Eat 1200 calories and watch the weight fall off.

Are you due to get your period?2 -
You get keto coffee? that's my first thought
Are you weighing yourself at the same time of the day?
Weight fluctuates, is this 5lbs from overnight? have you been monitoring your weight daily? there are a host of reasons why the scale might have jumped up, fluctuations are normal - I can swing up or down 4-5lbs from day to day.0 -

Uhm
And I do like it I’m not saying it’s my preferred way of eating I enjoy eating my salads I look forward to it when I’m fasting in the morning for lunch salad
So in 2 weeks and 4 days you've lost 13 lbs....
a) I hope you realize that some of the 13lbs, possibly as much as half of it is the "long term temporary loss" of "water weight" associated with the reduction in glycogen stores in your body because you've gone "keto".
When you inevitably have a situation where you eat carbs, you will replenish your glycogen stores and your weight will shoot back up as your glycogen stores replenish and your temporary loss returns to normalcy.
When you return to keto you will again have that same whoosh. This is all manipulation of lean mass and water weight it is not changing your underlying fat levels.
b) the rest of your 13lbs is, of course, real kick **kittens** weight loss. In other words you are doing absolutely fine.
Where you're not doing fine is that you have the expectation of continuous rapid weight loss.
suggestions: read posts about weight loss not being linear. Consider the size of your deficit: it is early but it is giving signs of being excessive: 2lbs a week is not a universally suitable goal. Get a weight trend tracking app such as libra or happy scale, or use one of the web sites such as trendweight.com or weightgrapher.com. Consider reasons as to why your weight may change abruptly: sodium, recent carb intake if doing keto, time of the month, constipation, sore muscles indicating water retention due to exercise, a moved or kicked or un-calibrated scale, and, of course, medical conditions such as edema or worse where a visit with a doctor might be extremely advisable.
Also not sure why this is in the maintenance forum if the goal is clearly weight loss or am I missing something?14 -

Dr. Chuck
"Dr." Chuck? No, "protection mode" (a.k.a "starvation mode") is not a thing. If it were, how would anorexia be possible? Wouldn't the body just start 'protecting' the anorexic from further weight loss instead of, you know, eventually killing them?
Also, increasing caloric intake with an expectation of weight loss is contrary to well established scientific laws of thermodynamics. It's really as simple as CICO. Consume more calories than the body can utilize for fuel over time and you gain weight. Eat less, and you will lose.
To the OP: Fluctuations in weight (especially for a woman) are very normal. Weight loss, maintenance or gain is never linear. This is a marathon and not a sprint - strap on your patience and enjoy the ride.11 -

So you had a super aggressive weight loss, some of which was water weight, and now you've gained some of the water weight back.
Fluctuations happen. Severe restriction -- as illustrated by a net loss of 13 pounds in 2.5 weeks -- can make you more likely to see those fluctuations.7 -
Most of your initial weight loss was water. You have gained back some of that water weight. Not a big deal. You may end up gaining back more as your body adjusts to the lack of glycogen. Take measurements to see if you are losing fat and not just water weight.3

I'm with everyone else here, the five pounds is just a little water weight blip. Either due to Crossfit, time of month, lack of sleep, hydration, salt, weather...stress...could be any number of things. Keep doing the right things and it will drop back off.
Till next time. Stay the course.3 -

If you weigh 300#, 1300 is most definitely not your maintenance calories. Just sayin11
-
So you've lost 13 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks. That's about 5 lbs per week which is a very aggressive rate.2
