@pkweier I would just ignore the comment. The results are compared to a statistical chart for people in your age group, and the technician knows nothing about your individual health issues or goals. If you're healthy and active and your doctor doesn't see any reason to gain, let it go!

Success/Struggles: Bringing the weight back up slowly - had a pretty high-calorie week (for me), but also increasing running. I'm still in that mindset where if I go over my moderate exercise calories I feel like I'm over-eating - I thought that feeling would go away after 7 months in maintenance, but that fear of losing control is still with me, probably due to years and years of yo-yo dieting. Something to work on.

In other news, it's Fall! Perfect temps during the day, cooler evenings and breezy enough to generate manic energy. Plenty of outdoors-time before the nasty gray winter rains :)

Sending positive vibes to everyone for a successful upcoming week!

    Success/struggles of the week

Success: I wore jeans at my WI and was up .4. Usually I wear shorts for WI but decided to wearing normal winter apparel. So mentally I had a “loss”.

Struggle: Bought some carrot cake and ate one left over pizza slice. I don’t consider it a cheat if I Track all the WW Points for my day. My grandson was here to visit local campus, of course he chose pizza.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I finally got out of my "struggling to get to the gym" rut and have been twice this week, on track for three times. I am excited about the gym again. Trend is holding very steady. Had some spikes this week, but I had a couple of carb heavy days. Obviously, my trend is staying right on track, so no worries.

I am feeling much more positive this week.

Success/Struggles: We are going out to dinner tomorrow for my future in-laws 50th anniversary, hosting it for them and a small group of their friends at their favorite restaurant. My weight has been down a bit and it's been a while since I've splurged when going out to eat so I feel like I should, but the thing is rarely is there anything that really tempts me on the menu to diverge from my usual way of eating.

Part of it is being wary of feeling disappointed that an indulgence won't wind up being all that good. This has happened a fair number of times where a dessert will just be ok, or the entree is not all that tasty. This correlates to other part where I'm feeling really satisfied with how and what I eat so there isn't anything I'm really craving when going out. Often dining in a restaurant just feels like a waste of calories and money, something I'm only doing because that's what everyone else wants to do and I'd rather just eat a nice meal at home.

I don't know if this counts as a success or struggle.

It's a struggle if you let it be. Consider that you feel like you "should" splurge on a meal out. Well, "should" is the operative word. That's what the struggle is; deciding if you are doing it because you want or you think others want you to. If you want to, that's a success. If you'd rather just eat a nice meal at home, then do it! Splurge a little! Have something you really like but don't make that often. Just have a small appetizer at the big event and enjoy the company.

Now if there turns out to be something you do really want, then go for it!

If it turns out that it isn't as good as the words on the menu describe, well, that's unfortunately really common. I often have a hard time ordering because all the descriptions look awesome. When the plate comes, it's just ok. This is one of the pitfalls of being a good cook. My partner absolutely won't order albacore anywhere because I spoil her with mine (medallions marinated in chile, garlic, soy, sesame and grilled on the cool side of a charcoal grill that has cherry or plum wood smoking on the coals).

    And now I'm hungry :)
