Do you have any problem waking up in the morning after taking them at night? I've tried the Tylenol PM and found that in the morning I'm still groggy and it takes me awhile to get going.... and that's with 1/2 a tablet.
I'd love to get a good night's sleep!!!0 -
my husband uses the melatonin.........it works for him and he does not feel any side effects in the morning. it is something your body is suppose to naturally produce anyway! wishing you all a good nites sleep!0

Not at all! I take 6mg a night about 30 mintes before I plan on going to bed. Next thing you know, I lay down and wake back up in the morning. Definitely doesn't give you a groggy feeling and is the cure for a good night's sleep! Sometimes your body doens't produce enough melatonin so it is OK to supplement it when needed. I'm not one to "take a pill" for anything but since this is just to supplement something that is naturally produced, I am all for it! Try it- won't hurt. It's usually by the vitamins!0 -
i take it everynight.. it's amazing what that tiny pill can do for you.. i dont have a problem sleeping.. it's just getting to sleep0

You shouldn't feel a groggy affect from melatonin. Its a natural sleep aid...something that our body already produces, but some of us just need help regulating it. I started taking it last year and loved it! Its alot better for you than sleeping pills or drugstore meds like tylenol pm or nyquil.0 -
wish i could find it over here in the UK!! Robb Wolf (paleo diet solution) recommended it in some of his podcasts ages ago!
So glad its working for you hon! A good nights sleep makes a huge difference doesn't it?

i take them and i dont have this problem...in fact, it just helps you fall asleep, not stay asleep. if you have issues with staying asleep its not for you.0 -

I can't take that stuff. I find myself half asleep and getting up in the middle of the night or I have the craziest dreams!! Yikes!
Wish it worked for me though. I know a few people it works for.
Or Valerian Root works too but don't mix the two together..0 -
For those of you that use Tylenol PM...consider taking Children's Benedryl...the liquid form. Tylenol PM is tylenol and benedryl anyways...but the Children's version of Benedryl doesn't have as long of a half life (pharmacology terms) from what I hear...and shouldn't leave you as groggy...I do this on the nights I need more sleep and I'm not groggy.
I'm not a pharmacists and not claiming that I know this for fact, but it's what I've been told and it works for me!0 -

I wish melatonin worked for me. I could eat it all day like candy and still be up till 2-3am! I don't know why. I end up having to use Tylenol PM or benadryl (and like a double or triple dose). Then I'm groggy as hell the next day, but some nights its the only way I can go to sleep at a decent time.0 -

HA! My insomnia laughs at Benadryl, melatonin, Ambien CR, Lunesta... everything *sigh* Going to sleep is not my problem - staying asleep is.0 -
