10/15 - 191 The first day back at work after being sick. Hope to return to exercise routine tomorrow.
10/16 - 192.2 Worked out at the gym over an hour (drove for 3.5 hours to St. Louis)
10/17 - no scale traveling. Walked 3 rough miles (included 150 steps back up a steep hill)
10/18 - no scale traveling. Walked 3 miles (drove 3.5 hours back to K.C. and still walked!)
10/19 - 193.3 Hopefully just retained water, I stayed within calories goals. I will rest today and go for a 4 mile walk tomorrow.
10/20 - 191.6 Did not make the long walk but did walk around the pumpkin patch for 3 hours. Sometimes carrying a squirming 22 pound baby, that should count right??
10/21 - 191.6 Walked 5 miles! Longest walk I've been on in probably 3 years!!!
10/22 - 191.6 Walked 3 miles. Felt good to get on the trail again after a long day yesterday.
10/23 - 192.6 Dang it! Up and down. I'm exercising & staying within calorie goal. Why aren't I down???

This is my third round. I think the best part of this challenge is that in recording the weight every day with a comment, I talk myself down from the hype that comes with weighing myself every day. It’s so easy to have the scale affect my mood. This challenge reminds me that my goal for the 10 days is to lose 1.5 – 3 lbs and puts the scale—the ups, the downs, the lack of movement, the ups and downs…into perspective! Thanks everyone and good luck this round!

10/15 – 171 - Hopefully that means yesterday’s number wasn’t a fluke!
10/16 – 172 – High carb day yesterday & just within calories. My stomach is also a bit off.
10/17 - 173 - Short walk yesterday, missed the gym cause I was at the eye doctor.
10/18 - 172.5 - No gym or walk. Waiting for a package....and then it was raining. Did not eat well. Time to get back on track.
10/19 - 173 - Sigh. Hope this is just like the last 10 days...the up before the down. Exercised & walked yesterday, ate within goals.
10/20 - 170.5 - That's what I'm looking for! Did all the right things yesterday.
10/21 - 171 - Was at my son's band competition all day. Had an omelet for breakfast....and then cheese sticks & nuts at the competition and chia pudding when I got home. I pre-weighed the nuts, so all was fine calorie-wise. I'm thinking the up might be dehydration/sodium....Still planning on coming down before the end of the round!
10/22 - 171 - Long walk yesterday and good calories/macros. Feeling like I deserve to see something on the scale! BUT, NSV -- a friend at the gym who hadn't been there much in the past month told me I looked great and wanted to know how much I had lost!
10/23 - 170.5 - At least it's down a little. Was hoping for more. Over 18000 steps yesterday, including a walk, y-strong workout and zumba. Trying to keep reminding myself that the size 12 jeans I'm wearing (down from 16) are actually comfortable, so that I shouldn't be frustrated. But really wanting a bit of love from the scale.

10/15: 193.3! I’m very pleased with myself right now. Will be doing a lower body workout and yoga today.
10/16: 194. Bleh. Did yoga for zombies yesterday because I was short on time. Doing Day 1 of the 30 days of yoga today. Also going for a run. Did a little low intensity water walking with my mom, who has health issues. Hoping the scales will go back down tomorrow.
10/17:194.4. Ate garbage, didn’t get enough sleep, feel like garbage. Youtube was down when I was about to start my 30 days of yoga, and by the time I found the workaround, it was too late in the night. Will start it tonight after strength training. Bleh. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
10/18: 194.4. Got more sleep. Will hopefully see a loss tomorrow. Day 2/30.
10/19: 195.9. Just water weight. Too much salt yesterday. Drinking a lot of water to compensate.
10/20: 194.1. Was too busy to update.
10/21: 194.1. Feeling really nauseous. Hoping I won’t get really sick. Haven’t been drinking enough water or exercising. Also, being down half a pound from the week’s starting weight is nice.
10/22: 194.1. Nauseous on and off today, but also ate like the garbage lol. Maybe there will be a gain tomorrow, maybe there won’t. Hoping not.
10/23:194.1. Need to get more sleep lol.

Round 7 for me. I've not been consistent and dropped out in round 5 and messed up in round 6. This has resulted in a 2 pound gain, but to be honest, I needed to give the scale a break as it was making me more depressed than helping me focus. Anyway, I'm back with a refreshed mind and a fighting spirit. Goal to get to 190lbs this round.

10/16 195lbs ...so disappointed, but I'm hoping that is it all the water that I've been drinking and the fact that I did a kettle bar routine and my muscles are recovering... oh well all I can do is keep on trying
10/17 197lbs ... my scale must be broken .. 4lbs gain in two days !!!! Hopefully, I'll start losing again. Still exercising and chugging the water. Refuse to let this get me down, just hope my body starts adjusting

10/15- 184.2- good thing this went back down. Weekend didn't go as well as it could have to be honest but I packed a really healthy lunch today and the day has been good so far! Will go to the gym to workout later in the day after my class. I'm a little behind on biochemistry due to my biology exam last week so will be catching up on that today until class starts.
10/16- 184.4- Not upset over this. I think it will be better tomorrow. I worked out yesterday. Won't be able to today. Have a lot of studying to do today.
10/17- 184.0- Yay. Hopefully I'll be 183.something tomorrow? I've been eating on the higher range of my calorie goal this past week so I'm going to try to eat on the lower side today and get a bunch studying done. So far so good.
10/18- 184.6- lol omg.
10/19- 185.0- okay. No. We're not doing this. I know the scale will probably be even higher tomorrow as well so I'm anticipating that but starting tomorrow we're going back to the previous week's meals because those gave me much better results. We're trying to get to at least 182. Here we go!
10/20- 186.0- It's okay. We're back to business today even though it's Saturday lol
10/21- 185.7- This will go down more tomorrow. I'm sure of it.
10/22- 184.8- slow and steady. will do the same thing today and hopefully it'll keep going lower. I'll try to end in 183.something by being under calories today and tomorrow. Not quitting or taking a break until I get to 180.0 this time. Can't keep relapsing.
10/23- 184.5- Will continue to stay under today and hopefully we'll have at least a 1 pound total loss by tomorrow. Kinda bummed out that I didn't get to my goal, but I ate badly those few days that led to the upwards fluctuation so you reap what you sow. Will not do this again and I am determined to get to 180 and won't stop until it's done. Hopefully by the next round.

10/18: 250 - I've been having a hard time staying within my calories because people keep bringing treats to work. I have to stop accepting them but it's so hard. I plan to do better starting today! No more snacking and I'm going to stick to my meal plan! I'm also going to do 30 minutes of cardio each night if not more. I need to get this weight off so I can reward myself and go shopping. I told myself I can't buy new clothes until I drop another dress size.
10/19: 247.8 - stuck to my calories and got on the stationary bike for an hour. I'll try to stick to this again today!

@deepwoodslady, Donna, I didn't even eat that much, but because I was eating foods low in protein, I felt ravenous! It took a LOT of control to get through that day. I had fleeting feelings of giving in and I just thought of that word, carnage, which it literally felt like.

For me that was 240-253lbs😖 @deepwoodslady, I look like I'm 150lbs! For real! I'm gonna put you and @abowersgirl in my pocket and take you everywhere I go. 😁

10/15- Finally seen some good results at the scale. Eating lots of vegetables.
10/16- Planned meals, and lots of vegetables, getting my steps up. Starting to fit into some of my clothes.
10/17- Had another great day! Eating healthy.
10/18- Doing great with healthy eating I just have to get the exercise in.I went to the hairdresser and she styled my hair so you cannot see where I lost the hair due to radiation.
10/19-Eating healthy, steps up--- 11,000
10/20-Still trying to keep from eating bread, pasta... Eating a lot of vegetables.
10/21- Great day! Really watching what I am eating- next week goal more exercise.

10/15/ 208.8#. I found that 19 ounces of squash with a little butter and sugar is about 300 calories. Very filling and helped my stay under my calories.
10/16 207.6#. (-1.2) Started my day tired. Met someone for lunch, so I splurged. I stayed under my allotted calories for the day. 🤩
10/17 208.2# (0.6#) still down half a pound from the start. Not going to fret about it. Got some exercise in. Went over my allotted calories, but stayed under 2,000 so I'm good with that.
10/18 208.4# (0.2#) tried to drink more water today. I've been very bad about water and have only been drinking about half. 3rd day in a row for eating out.
10/19 208.8#. Back to my starting weight on Monday. BUT I am down 2.6# from last Friday! I am eating out for supper tonight. Planning on bringing my own homemade dressing though. Can't wait! Ate so much today. Completely went nuts. Felt terrible ALL day. 😖🤢🤯
10/20 208.6#. I think I've been eating too much sugar or fat. I've had quite a bit of heartburn the last couple of days.
10/21 207.6#. Plesant surprise, I was actually expecting this to be up today. I'm happy with how today went. Still battling heartburn. I'll have to try to pinpoint it.

ROUND 14 FOR ME.
No Change. Not surprising. Another trip away from the country life here and back to the big city yesterday. Another trip planned for today in the opposite direction for building supplies while I can haul in truck without rain. Tomorrow will bring a long 4.5 hour trip to Univ of Mich for my mammogram and breast cancer re-check where I hope to find I am still in remission. I don’t hold out much hope for my weigh-ins for the remainder of challenge, but I can weigh each day before I leave for trips. I will not be able to weigh on the 25th because I will be at the Univ Hospital overnight. This round will not end well on the scale, but I have learned so much this round it is unbelievable! I continue to hold myself accountable with my logging and weighing (when able) which I hope will encourage me to make a few of my choices good ones, even in travel and where exercise is difficult.

There are so many factors at play. You're getting a lot of exercise. You may want to go into settings and update your diet/fitness profile. If you're logging your exercise calories, you may need to set your activity level to sedentary or lightly active. That's all I've got. I know stalls are frustrating. God bless you.4 -

@abowersgirl you are very right about the difficulty in helping an 18 y/o. I am learning to back off but it is hard when you see someone in pain. There is a silver lining to this - he and I are very close - we go for a walk together almost every evening. To me 18 is still young with lots of time to get things figured out. 28 seems young to me too and you have so much self-awareness and wisdom - you are ahead of the curve there!7

I had it on my left foot over 20 years ago and had it successfully removed. Since that time, I've read that removal usually results in nerve damage. Mine was large, but my doctor must have been good. I recovered with no nerve damage. I can't find the same doctor, so I'm a little concerned about having the one on my right foot removed. Praying I'll be blessed again when the time comes to take action.
@tiabirdie56, I understand well how foot problems can limit activity. I remember taking my shoe off and walking through stores wearing only a sock on one foot. I can empathize with your pain.1 -

10/15- 200.8. No exercise. Over calories. 64 oz of water. Really tired today. I’m off tomorrow so will definitely get some exercise in then.
10/16- 198.8. 40 minutes exercise. Under calories. 64 oz of water.
10/17- 199.6. 30 minutes bicycle. Over calorie goals (ate out at lunchtime and had snacks in between meals), 64 oz of water.
10/18- 202. Hoping the gain is from the exercise. Everything is still sore from my workout Tuesday.
10/19- 199.2. No exercise. Over calories. 52 oz of water. I need to get back on an exercise schedule and eat smaller snacks between meals, or no snack at all.
10/20- Did not weigh today. 35 minutes bicycle. Under calories. 64 oz water. Crazy hectic day, but I made myself exercise and I’m glad I did.
10/21- 202. 1 hour of exercise. Over calories. 64 oz of water.
10/22- 201.2. No exercise today. Spent most of the day sitting at a doctor’s office. Under calories. Didn’t take water with me today and not going to make it to 64 oz. Gotta make some major changes after today’s doctor’s appointment.
10/23- 199.8. 30 minutes of aerobics. Under calories. 68 oz of water. I started a low sodium meal plan today and I prepped my breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. I feel good about today.

10/15 182 trying to get motivated to workout this morning!
10/16 I didn’t workout yesterday and didn’t weigh in this morning. I haven’t been feeling well since the weekend so I’m just focusing on eating healthy and staying close to calories. Hopefully I’ll feel better by tonight for my workout!
10/17 183.3 up 1.3 lbs. and I’m not surprised. I hadn’t been feeling well, so was not as active as I usually am, I ate at maintenance yesterday and had two pieces of Halloween candy. Ugh. But today I am feeling back to 100% and had a great workout this morning, and I’m back to my regular healthy eating.
10/19 182 back down, whew! I was worried. I have a busy day today so will keep my calories low. Today is my rest day so I’m not working out today. Hardest thing is the Halloween candy that is invading my house!! My plan is that instead of candy I’ve made a list of ‘things to do’ around the house, for example - I cleaned out the pantry yesterday, next is storing my summer sandals and getting out all of my booties. Gonna feel so good!
10/20 181 and I cant even believe it! I ate two small slices of previously frozen pizza plus a salad last night for dinner, then had a glass of apple cider (at an event later) and I thought just that - and only that - would do me in. Usually this is how it works for me. Maybe all the super low cal stuff I did for the past two weeks has jump started my metabolism. Also perhaps I think that my lymph system doesn’t work any longer. I have been doing some self massage and maybe that’s making it all flow better. Whatever it is that’s now working, I’ll take it! But I would like to know for the future me. So, I guess the story and experiment continues!
10/21 I didn’t weigh in today. I got up and started working on making chili and a cake. We had a family birthday party today. I had one too many bowls of chili, and two too many pieces of cake. Oh well. I skipped breakfast and snacked for lunch, and was just very active around the house with cleaning and getting set up for the party - so hopefully all of that will help for the weigh in tomorrow morning. 🤞

10/23 didn’t weigh in....are you starting to catch on to my trend? Well. Ok. I need to weigh in tomorrow. Honestly, I’m sure you’ve guessed, I’ve been a little afraid to do so. I really think I’m up. The party on the 21st may have done me in. I’ve been pretty good on calories and have been working out. I will weigh in tomorrow morning even though I’m dreading it. 😬5 -
I haven't posted in the past two days. I have been feeling so bloated and uncomfortable for the past couple of months and this last week especially I'm feeling off kilter. The bloatedness has definitely had an effect on my weight loss. I've booked an appointment on Monday for a food allergy test, I already have a few food sensitivities and it is possible that I have acquired some more. I've also booked a doctor's appointment in two weeks just to make sure that everything is normal. I will join back up when I have some answers about what is going on with me. Take care everyone.6
