I stopped respecting him as a person. He wasn’t open to new ideas, would always reject movies and shows I suggested in favor of ones he was in the mood for, would be very stubborn about admitting anything he did was wrong, and I found I wasn’t really being honest with him about these things because I didn’t want to hurt his feelings or start a confrontation. Also he got extremely pouty if I had a bad day and didn’t feel like cuddling or kissing (to the point where he ignored me not wanting his arm on me while I was sleeping, and when I removed his arm, he would literally have a pouty fit and violently turn the other way). Finally, we lived together in a studio apartment that was mostly full of his things, so I felt like I wasn’t my own person with the ability to choose how I wanted our living space to be.
