I wanna lose my first 8 pounds before my family's annual Christmas cookie baking day (with all the ladies in the extended family working together for a few days we make hundreds of cookies lol and I intend to eat some)! I'm about 3.5/8 down since I started (I'm a newbie) and I'm hoping to keep up the progress!5

1. To hit 100 pounds lost. I've been 15 pounds or less away forever.
2. To work hard in the last couple weeks of our weight-loss challenge at work. A few people have dropped out, I may have a chance to win!
3. To get back to exercising. I only went to the gym twice at the beginning of September, and not at all in October. >_< That alone will help me immensely with goals #1 and #2.6 -
I want to be down 15 pounds. That would be awesome.5

I'm about 8kg from.
No scale goal is a 20km pool swim during this China trip.4 -
<65.0kg by New Year.
Only need to average a daily deficit of 277kcals from last week. I'm currently running a little greater than that, so I'm hoping for a little bit of a buffer for Christmas.5 -
Slowly and carefully monitoring any slight improvement. The app has motivated me definitely. For the first time in years I'm actually spending time thinking about my own well being rather than everyone else's. It feels good but makes me realise that I should have been more interested a while back12

My last 6 pounds until hitting my first mini-goal weight!!8

Now I'm working on the hitting 90 lbs lost by NYE.5

My current mini goal is probably stupid, but I'll take whatever motivation I can get right now.
There's entirely too much back-story here for context/explaining why this goal is important to me, and because I'm notoriously long-winded, so the tl;dr is I'm trying to lose 8 pounds by the end of November (4 gone so far!).
Seasonal depression hit me pretty hard this year, which led to binge eating potato chips over the last 2 months (this does not keep me in keto, btw ), which then led to regaining 8 of the 67 pounds I worked so hard to lose over the last 4 years. And of course it all went right to my stomach, which is already my worst area.
I'm basically dirt poor, and struggling through the process of trying to get disability benefits. I have crippling anxiety and depression (on top of the aforementioned seasonal depression), which feeds into agoraphobia. All of that combined with an inability to drive means I never get to leave my house much except for doctor appointments and grocery shopping. I only go out for 'fun' maybe 2 or 3 times a year if I'm lucky, and more often than not it's just to have lunch with someone.
But when I DO manage to go out for fun, I like to dress up. I spend most of my time in my pajamas, only putting on jeans and a t-shirt for doctors and groceries. I look like crap because I feel like crap. Going out is my rare opportunity to escape that crap, so I dress up a little more than I probably should, because it helps to psychologically separate me that much more from feeling like crap.
So at the end of the month I'm going to see Penn & Teller in Seattle. It's pretty much the only achievable thing on my bucket list (it wouldn't have been achievable at all if I'd had to go to Vegas for it). I purchased the ticket back in March, and it's the only thing I've had to look forward to all year. This is one of those ultra rare, super special, too expensive but worth it sort of outings for me. It's been 2 years since my last major outing like this (Chris Fleming was hilarious), and I don't expect there to be another for some time, if ever again.
So I have this ridiculous, over the top outfit I plan to wear.
And it will look so much better without the extra 8 pounds on me.
And I will feel so much better without the extra 8 pounds on me.
To be objectively fair to myself, I did try on the complete outfit and all accessories the other day, and even with the extra weight I think I still look like a polished turd pretty good, so I'll try not to be too hard on myself if I don't hit this mini goal completely.
Here's the ridiculous outfit.
Neighbors approve. Internet pals approve.
