My high-tech bathroom scale is malfunctioning, and I really don't want to spend the money to replace it. Without a scale to monitor my weight, I don't feel motivated to spend the time to log-in all of my food. What's the purpose if you can't tell if it's working or not? My MFP life ends here *sigh*.

in my experience cheap scales are just as good as the fancy ones, or maybe find one in a charity shop? I agree, it's more motivating with scales, but some people just do it on how their clothes feel. Don't give up! The food logging becomes a lot easier once you have your favourite foods in there.

I have pharmacy superstore which has machine to weight in (need to put some coins). It’s once in a week so could be a short term option until you find a reliable scale.

I like simple digital scale! I store weight in my fitness so I don’t need scale to store it. This function in my current scale is not used anyways!!!

And of course don’t give up yet!!!!

weight is going down nicely, even after a bit of a slip on Halloween and pinching the kids sweets. I’m a bit disappointed with the body fat gain if I’m honest. Don’t know what is going on there, working hard in the gym and getting my protein goal hit most days. If it is still increasing next week I’ll have to look at cutting carbs a bit more I think.

Not happy with myself this week....I rested on my loralls and it got me nowhere fast. COME THE F""k on! Start pulling your weight, eating right, and get this done!!! The more you screw around the longer this will take, You want to look good for summer, and you want to wear summer clothes, not cover your weight because your embarressed (and also swelter in the heat)

    Push has come to shove............

I have same feeling! I am now tired of wearing shirt below my hips... and tired of checking shirt on the back when I stand up 🙄

My main goal is to go 2 pant size down by next April. It’s going to be tough but I am surely going to try!

Just recheck your exercise plan, eating plan and keep going!!! We can do this for beautiful summer dresses n all!!!

I lost 0.1kg this week!! Tiniest amount my scales can register, but that's 1.1kg so far lost, and 2.7kg to lose for my Christmas goal.

First GW - 62 kg (22kg to loose to come into healthy range of BMI. To be achieved atleast by sept 2019)

Nov 05 - 77.5kg (I think something wrong happened at last weeks weigh in with my body, I was certainly feeling less heavy.. After that weigh in, I have had an minor oral surgery which is making eating tricky. But I have also reduced carbs so less rice portion than normal. I walked my first 5K last week 🔆. Coming week, I want to come closure to 77kg. I really want to get out of obese BMI before Xmas)

I'm in! I want to get to 180lbs by Xmas, which isn't really reasonable at the rate I am going but I'll give it a try.

I've been eating 1,300kcals a day for about 6 months and this morning I dropped that to 1,200kcals so perhaps that will do the trick.

I was fixated on my first goal - to lose 50lbs and didn't really care about the date it happened. While doing that it was easy to do the maths in my head to tick slowly but surely down to the number... But now I have achieved that I am finding it incredibly difficult to do the sums in my head! I know I sound like an idiot but I think it's really going to help to have a round/even number as my next goal. Maybe I'll do it, maybe I won't. But as long as I keep on keeping on, in a healthy way, then I think I got this.

    02/10: 202lbs
    05/10: 199lbs - my first goal reached = down 50lbs since March 2018!! Average ~7lbs per month
    14/10: 196lbs
    21/10: 196lbs
    26/10: 194lbs
    01/11: 196lbs :|

Oct 22 - 124.8 I appear to be going backwards. Not surprising, since I went to a food festival yesterday.... Gotta remind myself that just because it's a "special occasion" or whatever excuse I want to use, doesn't mean I have to shove food into my pie hole like the Apocalypse is coming. This time of year has tons of "special occasions" and that mindset is not going to help matters.

Oct 29 - 120.4 I am not under any delusions that I've actually lost 4 lbs in a week. The previous number was an early-morning weigh-in after an evening of, if not exactly gluttony, certainly eating with abandon. My weight tends to fluctuate a lot, (in fact I'm up a pound and a half today from Monday's weigh in), so I just keep reminding myself to look at the trend rather than individual days' numbers. That's why I like challenges like this, so it keeps me looking at longer-term results rather than being disappointed with day-to-day fluctuations.

Nov 05 - 123.8 Still fluctuating like mad, but at least I'm down a pound from the previous weeks of mid-October. Hopefully it will be steadier now, but my will power this time of year is nil, and the holiday treats are already out and about! It also doesn't help that today is national donut day and my boss brought some in to celebrate!

I set a mid-term goal for 1 January 2019. I figured I had 100 days until then, and my mid-term goal was to get into the 200s. Figured I'd dropped 40lbs+ in 70 days, I could possibly do 40 more lbs in 100 days. If I don't hit that goal, nbd. Just gonna keep chugging along with keto. If I hit 299 early, well, it would be a nice christmas gift to myself.

Hello past me, it’s present me. 57 days left, 23 more pounds. Good luck to future me and everyone else on their journey!
(I was doing until New Year’s Day)
