Even I shudder at the thought of see me in a string bikini. :noway:
  • NO!!!!! There are not many women they are flattering on. That was 99% of the bathing suits I saw sold in stores this year which is sad because they are not flattering!

I think your wife was referring to a body that would wear a bikini in the first place. Assuming someone is in shape enough to wear a bikini, I see what your wife is saying. Assuming a string bikini is in the right size to be worn, it can be the most flattering because you tie it to cover you and fit you properly. Many bottoms cut in to you and make skin/fat go over and under the edges, but string bikinis are never that tight, etc. In these instances, I agree.

I certainly wouldn't be caught dead in a bikini, let alone a string bikini! I think they are flattering if you are a tiny little thing, but honestly - would you like to see a 250 lb woman in a string bikini?:ohwell:

    I have to say NO!

I am very hippy and curvy, and it is not the most flattering on me. I think if you are thicker through your hips, a wider bottom looks better. Something with at least an inch to help those hips out.

Remember, those with hips, don't need help making them look bigger! LOL

I think many two pieces are not as flattering as a string bikini because other two pieces cinch and pinch more. Maybe that's the point I was trying to make before.

Of the bikini's I have tried, http://www.bravissimo.com/products/sale/swimwear/bikinis/sun-seeker-bikini-top/cobalt-teal/gw02ct/?show=16&sort=1 is by far the most flattering on me. With the short bottoms, not the little ones. I look ****e in a string bikini and did even at 18 years old, weighing 112lbs.

When I'm at a healthy weight and my hips are more bone than fat, I love my hips. I'm an hourglass and I love the shape. But at a higher weight, the fat just looks bulgy and gross in a string bikini.

How is "relatively small breast coverage" of any use to someone with size G boobs? Especially after 5 years of breastfeeding.

[Pictures this image, throws up a little bit in his mouth....]

When my son was 5, he walked and talked and even got his own milk out of the refigerator....

I don't think she meant breastfeeding the same child for 5 years....like had a kid, nursed it....got pregnant, nursed that baby.....

If you put it on, and you can no longer SEE that it's a string bikini, it's not a good look.

I like mine. It's nice that it's adjustable as I've lost weight.

My boyfriend doesn't look as good in one as I do.

I'm good for the string on the top and actual bottoms that give a little coverage. I have small fun-bags, so the string looks good on my top. But my booty is waaaay to big to be sporting a string bottom.

Now, my boyfriend feels all sexy in one - both top and bottom. We can't convince him otherwise.

HA! If you've got the confidence, go for it. I'd love to see my a** in a string bikini, but I doubt anyone else would. :) So, I save everyone else at the beach the misery.

You eat excessive calories every day?
  • They are not flattering unless you are skinny as hell (<12% body fat)...

I wear a bathing suit.. lol!

I will answer your question as soon as I stop LMAO at the idea of me in bikini... and a string bikini at that!
    Wow! :blushing: :noway:
Ok, no, nothing flatters every body type.
Us middle aged no longer obese but still overweight types prefer a two piece with a skirted top and boy short bottoms!!!

I agree with most, they are not flattering to that many body types.
I actually use the string bikini top with shirts and tops during summer. I'm small chested so everything fits in just fine  Please note that I always wear something on top of it
