Oh no, my partner's brother is coming to stay tomorrow night (a good thing in itself) which means I can't exercise Sat morning (he'll be sleeping in the living room) and her dad and stepmum will be staying Sat night so I can't exercise at all on Sat (we'll all be together all day and either out or in with everyone in the living room). This means my only option, as I only have 30 days in total to do this before going away, is to do level 1 day 10 AND level 2 day 11 tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to this!

Did level 1 this morning and just finished my first try at level 2. I started out enjoying it more than level 1 but that soon changed ;) Couldn't manage all the plank things without a break but will keep at it. Very tough!!
  • what dumbbells do you guys think they use in the DVD. They look like 3lb...No wonder it's easy.

I usually use 5.5lb or 8lb. I had to use 2.5lb ones for the chair squats with V-raises in level 2.

I wondered that too - they look like the ones I use. I couldn't use 5lb for everything - just use them occassionally when I feel I can.

Just finished L3 D4. Some of the moves I use 6.6lb weights and some I use 3lb weights. What is everyone going to do after completing 30DS?

I'm thinking of doing the ripped in 30 DVD, not sure yet. Or doing her 30 day slim down where she incorporates her no more trouble zones dvd and banish fat boost your metabolism.

Maybe I will do that! I like the results I've seen with 30DS but I wish I had waited a little closer to my goal weight to start it because scale movement is minimal and I failed to take measurements before I started so I can't reference how many inches lost. Thanks!

I am far from my goal but decided to give it a try for this month. I told myself I will not check the scale, just at the start middle and the end. Yes I made sure I took measurements also since that is key.
Your almost done so I guess it would be hard for you to take measurements now. Next time for sure. But see how your clothes are fitting.
    Lucky you! You're almost done.

I'd like to do Ripped in 30 but it's not available on region 2 DVD sadly. Maybe it will be at some stage.

I have 3 weeks til my next beach holiday, so i've just started 30DS again, for the 2nd time this year. Only this time it'll be 21 day shred!

Just a heads up for anyone new to the shred though.... Level 2 can really play havoc with your knees. A lot of people on here have said the same thing. So i'd suggest starting level 2 a couple of days early (if you feel ready), and alternating with level 1 for a bit to try and ease your knees into it. That's what i'll be doing this time, for sure.

Good luck all! It's a great program... You'll feel stronger and fitter in no time ;-)
  • aaaargh I hate Level 2...4 more days left.:explode:

Just did Ri30 day 1 today and I didn't think she could be any more annoying. lol What the hell does "Phone it in" mean? Makes me nuts each times she says it. I am going to alternate days between Ri30 and 6 week 6 pack. 6week is more than abs, still good cardio and I do most of the floor moves with weights so, we will see.

Everyone's been pretty quiet on here lately...how's YOUR 30 DS going? I am on Level 2 and hating every minute of it!! But I haven't missed a day, which is a huge accomplishment for me!

I never thought I would say this BUT.... I miss 30DS!! lol Alternating between Ri30 and 6W6P is a killer!! lol Made a mistake and did both yesterday. Ouch, I am too old for that crap.
  • Just started L3 yesterday, it wasn't bad. A lot of the moves are from her BFBM DVD which I've done before. 9 more days
  • The shred has really weakened my knees and I'm in crazy pain lately. I stopped and I'm letting my knees heal.

I started L1D1 last night. Apparently it's going to be more of a 45DS for me. I'm not counting D1 until I can (1) finish the workout and (2) not stop. Maybe I should get out the WiiFit and work my way up to Shredding?

To those with knee issues: be absolutely sure your form is dead on. I did the same thing the first time I tried 30DS and my foot was pointed slightly out for some of the moves and it killed me. Also, don't go as deep into the lunges for the first (at least) half of the level.

    Good luck!
