This is my sixth round. I am starting not to freak out as much over the daily fluctuations. Went up a little bit at the end of last round, so 2.5 isn't too unreasonable. On the other hand, I've been pushing a 1000 calorie deficit for 2.5 weeks now and I think I'm going to have a slightly smaller deficit this round.

11/14 166.5 -- Phew. I was super hungry and craving sweets and honestly everything yesterday. Kept trying to have a healthy filling something and it was all subtraction stew. Jogged in place at 10 pm to finish my steps and cover my extra snacking, so still had a big deficit. Glad to see that my indulgence in a scone did not move the scale the wrong way!!
11/15 166 -- Nice to see. Interesting observation: I am doing a monthly support group with a weekly weigh in. In that group I had a 3 lb loss last week, despite only a 1 lb loss in Round 57. Then this week, having finished round 58 with a 3 pound loss, I posted a .5 pound gain. Puts things in perspective about daily fluctuations! On another note NSV--three people at the gym yesterday independently commented on how good I looked and the weight I had lost. I've lost 33 lbs since June. I don't think the first 20 were so noticeable, but now there is a difference!
11/16 165.5 -- Hungry again yesterday. Somehow the low carb hamburger casserole that I made tasted good but felt more like subtraction stew. Don't think I will make that again! Combatted the hunger by going to zumba! So I guess that was a win!
11/17 164.5 -- What a nice surprise! Hopefully it's not just that I didn't drink enough water yesterday. Forgot to drink during the day, so guzzled before bed! Had a lovely breakfast with my husband and youngest this morning. Bacon & spinach & cheese omelet. After being hungry for 3 days, I was full after half the omelet and two slices of bacon, so I saved the rest for later. Have a great weekend everyone!
11/18 163.5 -- Whoosh! Clearly I should take a rest day and sit around more often!
11/19 166 -- Celebrated my husbands birthday. So I stood around all afternoon making cake, instead of exercising. And then I ate the cake. Only half a piece....only 200 over calories (which is still less than maintenance) but clearly carby. Hopefully it goes away as quickly as it came!
11/20 165.5 -- Probably shouldn't eat the cake, even when I have calories to spare if I want this number to go down faster. Exercised a bunch yesterday.
11/21 164.5 -- That's better. (Actually, the scale showed 164 twice, this number twice...fingers crossed!) Now to keep that or go a little lower for tomorrow...and then pie. Clearly not a great plan!
11/22 164 -- Baked all afternoon....licked the bowl, but otherwise ate ok. Now to fill up on vegetables, turkey and green beans today! Don't get me wrong....I'll eat the other stuff too, just only a little! Happy Thanksgiving to all my buddies!!

@SuzyH Like you, I'm not ready to jump yet. I like the Chalean Extreme program, which has strength training and cardio. She has someone demonstrating modified movements you can use until you build up your strength and endurance. Seven years ago, when I first did the program, I managed to work up to the unmodified workouts. I purchased the program at BeachBody.com.2

6. Lots of water, green tea daily, apple cider vinegar before carby meals. Increase my fiber. Reach my protein goal of 80g per day.

176.0 What??????? I did everything so right yesterday! 1271 calories in, 2364 calories out. 10,262 steps. 4.34 miles. 3 floors. 13/13 step hours. 6 hours 48 minutes of sleep which only occurs about once per month with me, (usally 3.5 to 4.5 hours per night) so sleep was the only change. 9 glasses of water. Healthy low carb foods. Wow was I disappointed! However, with the huge whoosh yesterday I will not complain. I usually only retain water after a large or carby meal and I didn’t have one so I’m just a little confused, but I will chalk it up as my body doing corrections and recalibrating.
Today I will likely go to dinner with a friend. Our family Thanksgiving dinner will be on Sunday. But I still feel like I want to do something “special today”. That will likely mean two Thanksgiving dinners now but I will bounce back because, like all of us here on “just give me 10 days”, I am more than capable. I am mighty, unstoppable and cannot be defeated! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Round 54 – SW 178 lb. down to 171.8 lb. (6.2 lb. loss) This was my beginning of eating keto and tracking calories.
Round 55 – Finished at 170.0 (1.8 lb. loss)
Round 56 – Finished at 165.2 (4 lb. loss)

11/20 161.0 I’m back! There’s no place like home! I only lost .4 lb in my 11 days of travel, but I could have easily gained. The boring hotel breakfasts of eggs, sausage, and, sometimes, bacon, begged for a cup of yogurt, a piece of fruit, or a pastry, but I remained strong. Three great New England seafood meals with veggies fit well into my keto WOE, but I couldn't resist a cup of seafood chowder at the No Name in Boston. I confess to eating the roll containing my lobster roll in Portland, ME, and I ate a few cookies provided by sweet church ladies. My secret prayer partner obviously knows my weakness for coconut and gave me a package of mini Almond Joys. I ate two or three, gave some away, and brought the remainder home to my husband. We did a lot of walking through museums and churches in D.C. and Boston, the Freedom Trail in Boston, Mount Vernon, the Roosevelt and Vanderbilt homes, etc. We sang and shared our message of "Sharing Jesus With Urgency" a total of 11 times as we traveled in Virginia, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. We survived Winter Storm Avery and had a couple of snowball fights. In places, the snow covered fall foliage was a beautiful sight. I'm third from the right in the pic, before snow, with the Vietnam Memorial behind us.
11/21 160.4 Thor was happy to get our walk in yesterday. While I was away, I don’t know if he missed me or the walks more. Now, I’m trying to stay calm as I make Thanksgiving meal preparations. My sister will bring the ham and some high-carb sides. I must bake a Pumpkin Cake (favorite of my husband and sister). I’ll pick up two pies I ordered from our local chef. I will cook the turkey and dressing, along with a couple of low-carb vegetable casseroles—twice-baked cauliflower and a spinach/broccoli casserole. I’ve already decided what I will and will not eat tomorrow. A sliver of pecan pie is on my “to eat” list.
11/22 160.0 Twenty pounds to go. I’m anxious to be in the 150’s, but I don’t expect to see it tomorrow. I will eat well today, with the exception of a sliver of pecan pie. That alone will probably keep me above 160 lb. The turkey and dressing are cooking, and I still have two low-carb casseroles to put together. I woke up with a sore throat, but I hope to get through the day before it gets worse. My roommate on the trip had a nasty cold. If I have to have a cold, I’m glad mine has waited this long to manifest itself. Give thanks with a grateful heart on this Thanksgiving Day and every day!

I derailed myself last year undoing a lot of good work. After a long absence from myfitnesspal I am back on track. This 10 day challenge seems like something I can do. I joined with Round 57. This is my 3rd consecutive round. The less said about round 58 the better.

Day 03. 11/16 296.5 lbs. We had dinner out last night after taking family Xmas photos. I knew as I ate the delicious Teriyaki chicken and noodles that there was too much salt for me and too many carbs. I would have been helped by eating a couple of Turkey rollups before we left the house. Or having a high-protein shake (i.e. Premier which provides 30g of protein). Then I might have sensibly passed on the noodles and picked a more appropriate (for me) main dish.
Day 04. 11/17 296 lbs. Moving slowly in the right direction.
Day 05. 11/18 295.5 lbs. Still moving they way I want it to go.
Day 06. 11/19 295 lbs. Good. I'll take 1/2 lb a day as long as I can get it.
Day 07. 11/20 294.5 lbs. Very nice! I might make my 'lose 4 lbs' this challenge goal.
Day 08. 11/21 294 lbs. Another 1/2 lb. Very good!
Day 09. 11/22 293 lbs. Vigilance where starchy carbs and sugar are concerned, and a little bit of exercise, before Thanksgiving paying off. This gets me to my goal of 'lose 4 lbs' for this challenge. I shall be ultra-careful at my youngest brother's house today as the family assembles for Thanksgiving. I'd like to at lease still be at that goal when I weigh in the day after Thanksgiving. A tall order but I am motivated.

I went through old records last night. My high wt was ~ 237. My lowest weight since June 2016 was ~ 208 (briefly) and between 220-237 the rest of the time.

@SuzyH Look online for Jane Fonda, I think it’s called Strength and Balance. They do that at our community center 3 x/week since it is an over 55 community.

11/14 - 185.4 - Busy day. Did pretty well on food intake. Lifted early in the morning to make up for Monday's lift that I missed and then played over 2 hours of full court basketball last night. Over 22,000 steps total on the day. We will see if I can continue to decrease from this weight over the next 10 days.
11/15 - 185.2 - Had a pretty good day. Solid calorie deficit and got a good lift in last night. A little worried that I possibly have an inguinal hernia. Getting it checked out on Monday. Hoping that isn't it because I have made pretty good progress in the weight room and really don't want to give that progress back and have to build back up if I have to have surgery. But it is what it is. Either way, I will keep working toward my goal.
11/16 - 185.4 - Had a nice deficit yesterday and actually showed self control at a Mexican restaurant, which is tough for me. Went to go workout, but was having some pain in my lower abdomen area near that possible hernia, so I cut off the workout. Hoping to have a good day today, last day of work for me for 9 days!
11/17 - 184.8 - Had a solid food deficit day and a good sleep last night. Got a light lift in. Not gonna go heavy until I see the doctor on Monday. Hope to continue the trend downward.
11/18 - 185.4 - Weighed but forgot to post
11/19 - 184.2 - Had a good day yesterday with calories and protein. Had dentist and doctor today so was out of the house and ate out for all 3 meals on the run (poor choices too, so I expect a weight jump tomorrow). Will try to get a workout in tonight.
11/20 - 185.2 - Pretty much what I expected after how I ate yesterday. Made pretty good choices today and played over 2 hours of full court basketball tonight, so I expect to see it go back down for tomorrow. Went to the doc on Monday. He doesn't think I have a hernia, instead he believes it to be a swollen lymph node. Ran some blood tests and am doing an ultrasound tomorrow morning to try to figure it out. Follow up is next Monday to go over blood work and ultrasound results. Good news is I got back in the weight room on Monday night and had a good workout, so we will see what he says. Gearing up for Turkey Day!
11/21 - 183.8 - Lowest weight yet. Did ultrasound this morning and confirmed swollen lymph nodes. After hearing that they were irregular in shape, I made the mistake of googling that and have now self diagnosed with every serious illness known to man. Will have to come back to see doc on Monday about results. Going to go workout and mow the yard after lunch. Turkey Day tomorrow!
11/22 - 184.6 - Had a really good day yesterday. Had a solid deficit and hit my macros. Got a nice lift in and got some things done that I needed to. Did have a pretty high sodium day which accounts for a little water weight gain. Going to enjoy Thanksgiving meal today but not go overboard. Probably eat at about maintenance today. Everyone have a great Thanksgiving!

11/19 131.0. WOW! Didn’t wake up until just after 8AM! BBQ for Carl’s birthday yesterday. I was stuffed but wanted to eat more because it tasted so good. I didn’t but I wanted to! DD #2 came over this morning and gave us both haircuts. She does such an amazing job! I’m late posting and haven’t read beyond page 14. Lots of catching up to do in the morning.

WOOHOO! I did it! Four years ago today I was 88.2 pounds heavier than I am this morning. And it isn't just about the weight -- I'm healthier, more comfortable, better able to do the things I enjoy.... It's been a journey and an education, and that will continue as I strive to maintain. These challenges have been a big boost, too, over the past 15 months, so BIG thanks again to @GrandmaJackie and all of you. Now to slowly get my calories up to figure out my maintenance level. 11/14 – 161.2 – Still here. Resisted ice cream last night but 3 corn thins before bed. Why did I need that? I had a good supper with lots of protein. The excuse in my head is always that “I can’t sleep well if I’m hungry.” The truth is that it is a lifetime habit - that I can break. Of course my stomach is hungry at night if I feed it almost every night!

11/16 - 161.4 – Totally my own fault – caved to ice cream. Today will work on arming myself with a plan this morning to resist temptation this evening. Also is a gym day which should help.
11/17 – 161.2 Good day at the gym yesterday. I’ve started doing more upper body exercise instead of just focusing on a little cardio (recumbent bike & elliptical) and abs. I usually use a CPAP machine for breathing at night although I know that I just barely need it. The ear, nose, throat specialist told me that I would be able to get rid of it if I lost weight. Now suddenly, my breathing is much better. Normally without the CPAP I have a more restless night and wake up with a dull headache. I haven’t lost all that much weight so I’m wondering if it is the upper body workout making the difference.
11/18 - 161.6 Really good day yesterday calorie wise, rather sedentary but I think this is just the lag from a few days ago. So, hanging in there for a drop tomorrow or the next day.

11/20 – 161.2 Off to teach this am. Having successfully kept my eating in line this week, I am determined to not reward myself with food. What an awful habit. There are many other rewards that would actually make me feel good afterwards.

11/22 – 161.4 – Shopping in the city yesterday; careful at noon but some high calorie snacking on the way home and in the evening. Just glad the blip up was not worse. Now have to remember the doughnut picture and rein it in rather than make it worse. Upside is that I’ve been planning that trip for a couple of months and now it’s done and I’m stocked up on bulk foods for the winter. 11/15 - 213 Not really happy that it has gone up over the last few days but I did get all my water in. The goal for today is to get all my calories and see if that helps.
11/16= 212.6 - Movement downward again. Still frustrated. I am eating healthy options and staying in my cal limit. Last night I got near the top of my target limit without adding processed or sugary items. Also got in my water target and workout for the day. I am just frustrated at making the right choices and seeing and upward tick this week.

11/22: I had the best news today! Went for my MRI results today. The doctor said that I was cleared. He said to go out and indulge over the holidays, and enjoy a great vacation. I am ready to move forward I am so lucky.

11/14 191.5. I Passed my biology midterm!!! Food yesterday was salty and so was the food today (I tried the impossible burger at a local bar/restaurant today. It was good, but not meat-like at all) I’m behind on my water right now, so I might see a bump on the scale tomorrow lol.

11/16 192. I’ve noticed that my body loves this weight, and her chaotic-neutral sister, 192.1 lol. I remember sitting at that weight for over a week once. Tomorrow is the banquet for our local silhouette rifle shooting club, and because I helped out at the cook shack during the summer, I was invited to go. So I will dress up in my new dress, wear high heels and makeup for the first time in a while, and have a lovely evening. I’ll try to remember to take a photo of me in my dress and maybe of the dinner, if I bring my phone.

11/20 - 243.4 - slight fluctuation today but I created a decent deficit yesterday so I’m not worried. Sometimes I do find the fluctuations and retention frustrating but it seems I am prone to it and then will drop a lb or two at once. My trend has been continuously downwards since I began in September despite the fluctuations so that gives me some reassurance.
11/21- 243.8lb - still fluctuating but today am having a low calorie day so feel in a way at least some of the control will come back in that way. It’s hard when you know that you’re doing it right but you’re retaining for whatever reason. As always I’m following my moving average and that’s still going down. Just frustrating 😩

11/15 - 63.0 kg (138.9 lbs.). Yesterday mission is completed. Did all my activities and the dinner (1,654 kcal) didn’t affect my weight at all. There is even 100g loss.

11/14 - 247.4...had a good day yesterday, stayed in calories, 100 oz of water and 50 mins of water aerobics.
11/15 - 247.4..early morning weigh and not enough sleep. Still sticking to plan and did water aerobics again yesterday. I knew I would stall a bit this round after such a big loss last round.
11/16 - 247.2...was a good day. Did water aerobics and some walking around while shopping. Was under calories and had 100 oz of water. This is actually the lowest weight I've been since August 2013!! 😀
11/17 - 246.2...woohoo!! I had major cravings for take out food yesterday, but managed to talk myself out of having any! I had moose meat, gravy and a few of my sons oven fries instead..was yummy and within calories.
11/18 - 245.2...no exercise yesterday, spent half of the day looking at houses with my mother and the other half relaxing. I didn't have enough calories eaten by 8pm so I had a tuna sandwich, I don't normally eat that late and didn't expect a loss today.
11/19 - 245.2...stayed within calories yesterday, but had a bit of a cheat day food wise. Took my son to a birthday party and had a couple mini chocolate bars and few bites of cake and we had takeout for supper. Happy that I didn't turn it into an eating frenzy..bit of a nsv for me.

11/21 - 246.6..I had a decent day but then I went out to pick up a few things after my son went to bed and had an extreme craving (and I was hungry) for McDonald's. I ended up getting a meal with a milkshake and ate around 9:30 😐. I'm surprised I'm not up this morning. Going to drink lots of water and get back on track today.
11/22 - 246.6..I think my scale is stuck 🤨 lol. I didn't exercise yesterday, but my calories were very low (I just wasn't hungry) and I had 125oz of water. My son is sick and had a fever and cough all night so I didn't get much sleep. Hoping for a drop tomorrow.
11/23 - 244.8..😀 did 50 mins of water aerobics, had 125 oz of water and was under calories. My son is still sick and he's passed it on to me so we've been up since 3am..today is probably going to be a high calorie day.9 -

11/14: 67.5 - Really didn't feel well yesterday morning, which is why I forgot to post. Pretty bad day, over calories, and a very low burn. Being ill is really taking it out of me.
11/15: 67.1 - Better. Was trying to eat about maintenance, but because I'm still not feeling well my burn is way down so I ended up over again. These last three days have not been good for the calorie balance and is completely messing up all my spreadsheet tracking. I'm starting to come out the other side, so I'm hopeful that I can make the week balance out and not end up over for the week. I think it might be time to start making some sensible choices again.

11/23: 67.2 - So I've been hiding in the corner for most of this round, stalking the thread, but not wanting to post because of how badly my weight has been heading. ^There's the update and you can see why I might've thrown a bit of a tantrum with my weight. Mostly because I spent a week averaging in surplus which the 16th contributed massively with a 900kcal binge on takeaway pizza and the scales were not kind to me because of it. This week has been fine considering and the numbers have been dropping, but it really does show that one bad day can take some time for the scales to recover (damn you fluid retention). Anyway I thought I should really come back and actually update properly with what's going on.
Round summary: -0.3kg
I mean I kinda did it above, however, good overall. Down 0.3kg and I'm hopeful that it will continue to drop a little more at a fast-ish pace. Hopefully back under 67kg again soon! Lets go round 60!9 -

15/11 Did a half hearted weights session yesterday, not really on form this week, not sure if it's weather or continued after effects of a big weekend. Anyway today's goals are to stay on track calorie wise and get lower body weights' session in
16/11 Had to postpone weight training again, went to a friend's graduation after work, calories were around maintenance so all round not a great day for my goals. However, weight continues to come down, I got 15,000 steps in, Protein was on target and had a very good sleep so it's not all doom & gloom. Today's goal are simply to eat below maintenance and try and get out for a run.
19/11 Felt a bit rundown over the weekend so just did a bit of cardio - rowing on Saturday and a bit of walking/jogging on Sunday, think I have a cold coming on, I've kept calories around maintenance over the weekend and had ridiculous appetite increase which is usually an indicator for me that I'm getting sick along with an increase in my resting heart rate. Rest Day today and aiming to be in my full calorie deficit by the end of the day but will be happy if I come in under maintenance, going to try not to buy anything outside of my planned meals/snacks this week
20/11 Did the grocery shopping yesterday, bought only what was necessary for my week's plan, calories were pretty much on point so happy with yesterday. Today's goals are to stick with my food plan and get a lower body training session in.
21/11 Came in a little under calorie allowance yesterday and got my lower body workout in. Appetite seems to have dropped off a little now at least. Today's goals are to stick to plan again and get an upper body workout in at lunchtime.
22/11 Stuck to calories and completed my upper body workout at lunchtime yesterday. Today's goals are to stay on track, I've already done a 6km row in choppy waters today so just want to do a little yoga this evening to stretch everything out.
23/11 Final day of Round 59 and all my water weight from the end of the previous round is gone and I'm down another 1.2lbs so seems I am being better with my logging accuracy than I had been for a while ran a little under calorie allowance yesterday as wasn't as hungry as normal, I am sure the extra calories will come in handy at the weekend. Today's goals are to stick to calorie allowance and if the rain eases off to get out for a run, if it's still raining might just jump on the exercise bike and watch some TV9 -
@Deviette it's taken me most of the round to clear all the water weight I had from one night out/exercise. I've genuinely stopped caring about the day-to-day weight because of how volatile my water weight fluctuations are. It's why I focus so much on my non-scale goals.5
