50 Plus...it’s never too late

I had to do it! I had to start a thread because I didn’t like being the oldest guy in the room in the middle aged forum. I seem to have experienced a slight weight gain in the past 22 years, just one 4 of an ounce a day. The problem is, over 22 years that got me to 361 lbs.
Enough is enough.
I’ve made a few small changes that started on the Fourth of July, 2018. As of today, November 19, 2018, I am at
304 lbs. (-57lbs). I am now at a point where it is appropriate to start exercising. For those who are comfortable with the 50+ crowd, add me and let’s have a little fun.

Wow, that’s a great achievement. What sort of exercise are you thinking of doing? Adding a little exercise should help keep you burning those pounds.
I gained weight in much the same way as you... drip by drip. I started my journey on 27th May 2018, I’ve lost 45lb so far with another 22lb to go.
Feel free to add me as a friend

I’m 56 and after 6 months of commitment, I’m down 42 lbs and am at my goal weight. My doc told me I was pre-diabetic and that REALLY got my attention, so my wife and I started logging everything we ate, got back into the gym and I fell better than I have in years, weigh less than I did when I retired from the Army in ‘03 (she’s down 40+ lbs too!).
Every day brings new challenges but another opportunity to improve!

Hi. I would suggest either December Ultimate Accountability Challenge or Fat2Fit Challenge/ Support. I am in both and they both have very wide-ranging age groups / journey points. Read the intro to both and see what style you think might suit your style.
Both open registrations about now for the next month's session.

Also, if you want to try something currently short-term, MoStacy is looking for people for her Holiday Motivation Challenge (25 or more days of exercise / activity in the 31 days between now and Christmas). So far, I am the only one there and would love some company. Since it is so new, this would be a chance to suggest / shape the community thread.

My intro is over there.
