    My mother knits small teddy bears that she supplies to the labs at the local hospitals to give to children having blood drawn. The lab techs absolutely love 'em.

    That doesn't end in the elementary schools... My son's annual high school pictures got worse each year. He started off pulling a face like he was addled. Grade 11, he had the 1000 yard stare... I suggested Grade 12 better look like the happy well-adjusted young man that I knew him to be or else... He figured that would be a good contrast. sigh...

    There's a lot to this..
    From a child's view the parents don't care for them properly .. but typically wanting more attention.
    It would be nice to have one on one attention just when we want, ay... lol
