I struggle with appetite I'm eating around 3,700 calories a day and started doing weights but feel ill after eating so much.

Not knowing your size or activity it's hard to say, but off-the-cuff 3700 seems like a big surplus. You can't force feed muscle growth, it's take patience; trying to do so is just going to result in a lot of unwanted fat. This is the best read I've seen on reasonable expectations and math behind gaining muscle. Figure out your actual TDEE and adjust your calories accordingly.
