12/24 Monday - 174.8 - late night snacking got me last night. Enjoying the next two days without regret and may or may not log. Aiming to maintain again this round, especially ending the round on the 2nd we usually do a buffett for new years eve so being realistic. I have a crazy headache today so I'm hitting the water hard.

Started Keto WOE on September 24th (2018). Still experiencing decreased arthritis hip and shoulder pain since the second week of Keto. Staying within calorie limits is easy enough, but not exceeding my carb limit is difficult. Per my KetoMojo meter, Iβm in ketosis most of the time. Some of my NSVs: my wedding band fits, I wear smaller clothing, and my progress has encouraged my husband to try harder to end his cigarette habit.
Rounds 54 β 62 resulted in a cumulative loss of 27.2 lb.

12/24 149.8 Finally below 150! I failed to attain my goal of less than 150 lb. in the last round, but here it is! Now I have to keep it going down. Yesterday was too busy to take a walk before dark, and walking our roads after dark is too dangerousβwild hogs, drunk drivers, etc. This afternoon should be perfect for a walk. First, I have to pick up a pecan pie (and discipline myself to have one bite each day when my husband has a slice), and I have to trade my nephewβs gift outβI realized I dropped off the bag with new wigs for my mother-in-law instead of his toy. Oops! Heβd probably have fun with the wigs, but theyβll look better on her. Enjoy this Christmas Eve!

I want to get back into the 170βs and maintain (at the very minimum). I want to increase my exercising now that my livingroom renovation is complete. 12/24 - 183.3 - I enjoyed my GSβs 2nd birthday yesterday. I ate out of plan with too many carbs but was reasonable. It is not hard to find yourself over 20 net carbs! I have a Christmas Party with friends tonight. I don't hold out much hope for this round either, so many food events to come! . But I do persist. Everyday (no matter what is on the agenda) is another day to make a small change or a good choice even if the day holds an event. I can certainly choose wisely even if it's only one of the meals on the day of a gathering. One meal out of plan on an event day should NOT sink my ship. Extra movement on an event day goes a long way too. I persist....I persist....I persist.....

I'm in. My 4th round but starting over. In the last week, I have completely undone all the work I did in the last three rounds. Im going to look on the bright side - I can do this, I've done it before and I can do it again. I have tracked my weight every day for the past several years. On today's date one year ago, I was 22 lbs lighter. That is my goal for this next year. I love this challenge and reading all of the posts help support and motivate me. Looking forward to this round going into 2019. Good luck everyone. May we all be 22+ lbs lighter this time next year.

12/24--215.1 Whoosh! Hopefully it will hold. I'm a federal government who is furloughed, so the unexpected time off right now is pretty sweet. I just need to make sure that I don't derail my eating while I'm off work, I find that I snack a lot when I'm bored. So to give myself something to do I made a list of things that I need to do around the house that I have been putting off and I'm going to work on a couple of the tasks every day while I am off. Went to the gym today for weightlifting, this is not my usual weightlifting day but the gym is closed tomorrow. The sun is out today, which is shocking in the PNW for this time of the year, so assuming the weather holds up I will be taking the dog out for a walk this evening.

I won't be weighing about food for the next couple days, and I have a dinner out with friends on the 29th and on the 1st, and NYE is generally spent "grazing" snacky things. So I know going into this that this round is almost certainly ending in a gain, and I'm okay with that. A pound or two up won't derail my overall progress and I'm alright with there being some "food traditions" that we stick to.

Iβm going to apply to go on a short course in April. That is 13-14 weeks away (about 9 rounds). So my more immediate goal is to lose 1 lb/round. The course is something Iβve wanted to do for a very long time β I donβt have to lose weight for it but it would be sweet if I did.

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!Spoiler- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Yesterday I was out of town and I took many carbs, sugar and fat... Today I went to my dietitian for the second time. It looks like I lost 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs) fat and gain 1kg (2.2 lbs) muscle in a week. She said that it might be wrong so we'll decide according to next weigh in. My first week with diet isn't great, however I really decreased my calorie intake a lot. I hope I really lost weight.

Iβve been in maintenance for several months until the holidays, content at around 146. I am now OVER the point at which I didnβt want to be again (150), so Iβll be getting back on track to lose back down to at least around 146 or so. May try to go lower, but we will see. For the immediate future, I just want to get and stay back under 150.

12/24 - 183.2 Third day in a row! I had the first of 4 Christmas dinners yesterday. I walked three miles before the dinner and with the exercise calories - I stayed within goal. Normally I eat back less than half but for the holiday I made an exception. Another dinner today, one tomorrow and then one next weekend. I might be able to walk later today but I doubt it. No walk tomorrow either. I'm going to be jumpy by Wednesday.
12/25 - 183.9 Still ok with this. I'm pretty sure it's sodium as I did not go over on calories yesterday. I didn't get a chance to walk and probably won't today either. My family will be here in a few hours and we'll do Christmas with dinner and treats. I have been able to stay out of most of the treats I made, but I made candied pecans for the first time this year and they were VERY hard to stay out of with their cinnamon deliciousness. 12/24 - 175.4 - 74g carbs, 61g net carbs. Hungrier yesterday, probably because I felt cold. Carbs were: Peanut butter, cauliflower, breading on fish.
12/25 - 174.8 - 82g carbs, 79g net carbs. Carbs were: coating on fried chicken, salad, 3 TB onion dip, 1oz each unsalted pretzels and potato chips.
