If you do this.... lose one pound a week next New Year’s Eve you will have accomplished a significant goal.

I have used this Challenge the past two years as a means to focus my WL effort on an achievable weekly goal. I lost 30 pounds in 2017 and although I did not meet my goal in 2018, I found this challenge kept me accountable.

Join in if you're ready to do it this for the next 52 weeks, one pound at a time.

Get In exercise, eat healthy, veggies, fruit & protein... Beware of your portions and mindlessly eating when you’re not really hungry, just bored.

Share your successes and challenges. You are not alone in this journey. We are all working towards goal.

Weigh in weekly... or daily... whatever works for you. Just copy the information below and paste it in your post.

Welcome to the 2019 Lose 52 Pounds in 52 Weeks Challenge.

Tammie

I'm in. I started in October 2018 and have been losing about 1 pound per week. Although it is a slow process, I am learning a great deal about nutrition, training, mind set and my aging self. This is very doable. Thanks for sharing the challenge.

    Goal weight: 141 lbs.
This week's success: consumed within caloric intake goals
This week's challenge: 12 glasses of water per day (minimum)

Welcome everyone! It is exciting to see so many motivated to join this challenge. It doesn't matter if you have a lot or a little to lose. Everyone can participate.

I joined this challenge in 2017 with a goal of losing 40#. I lost 30! In 2018 I have not lost, but I did maintain until the past couple of months when I did lot of travel and gained 10#. I try to post on Sat but will start this challenge with today's numbers.

    Starting weight: ( 2016; 188 ) 141.2
    Goal weight: 120
    Current weight:: 141.2
    Total weight lost: (46.8)
    This week's weight loss: -.4
This week's success: Continuing this challenge!
This week's challenges: Too many left over goodies! I will take care of the "goodies" today.

I finished the year with 12 organized runs of 5k & 10k. I will start 2019 with a 10k on Jan 6. Feeling very proud of this accomplishment. My first run was in March 2018. I was never a runner before and have found that I really enjoy it.

Can I join if my goal is to lose slower than that (I'm shooting for 2lbs per month)? I've had a rough couple of years with injuries and stress at work, and I've gained back almost 20lbs. I need to find a way to get myself back on the right track.

    Starting weight (12/28/18): 157
    Goal weight: 140
    Current weight: 157
    Total weight lost: 0
This week's successes: so far on track to hit my weekly exercise goal; ran three consecutive days without any sign of an IT band flare up
This week's challenges: holiday eating and drinking and finding the motivation to workout

Yesterday was super easy to stay at my allotted calories of 1200. Today was a birthday party and that went up to 1757 calories ouch! Not a pretty day. This is why we can’t celebrate fun things every day- or at least *I* can’t lol. Here’s to a much better tomorrow!!!
