If you do this.... lose one pound a week next New Year’s Eve you will have accomplished a significant goal.
I have used this Challenge the past two years as a means to focus my WL effort on an achievable weekly goal. I lost 30 pounds in 2017 and although I did not meet my goal in 2018, I found this challenge kept me accountable.
Join in if you're ready to do it this for the next 52 weeks, one pound at a time.
Get In exercise, eat healthy, veggies, fruit & protein... Beware of your portions and mindlessly eating when you’re not really hungry, just bored.
Share your successes and challenges. You are not alone in this journey. We are all working towards goal.
Weigh in weekly... or daily... whatever works for you. Just copy the information below and paste it in your post.
Welcome to the 2019 Lose 52 Pounds in 52 Weeks Challenge.

Add me to this challenge. I have 55 lbs I need to lose and I really don’t want to lose it drastically. So 52 weeks for 52 pounds sounds awesome.9
-
Add me too please! I've had a rough couple of years and have gained back 38lbs. (I was only 5lb away from my goal weight too!) It's coming off this year. And staying off!5
-
Me too please. 52 lb in 52 weeks sounds very doable. I usually set myself up for failure by trying to lose too much too quickly5
-
Add me too please! This is my first challenge so thank you for posting!4

I'm in. I started in October 2018 and have been losing about 1 pound per week. Although it is a slow process, I am learning a great deal about nutrition, training, mind set and my aging self. This is very doable. Thanks for sharing the challenge.

I've lost 78lbs since May, and want to make sure I continue to work on my health in the new year, and I LOVE challenges, they really motivate me.
Will post my starting weight etc on Jan 1st6 -
Can I join if my goal is to lose slower than that (I'm shooting for 2lbs per month)? I've had a rough couple of years with injuries and stress at work, and I've gained back almost 20lbs. I need to find a way to get myself back on the right track.5

I’m in. I also joined another challenge, but it’s only a 3 month challenge. I’m hoping to stick with this for the whole year. I haven’t been using MFP as much as I should, so
I don’t have many friends in here. If anyone wants a friend, don’t hesitate to friend me!

I'm in. I've been debating WW but I have done this before successfully.
I got to the same weight with all my pregnancies and lost it all with 2. My third kid is almost 4. The lowest I've been in the past 4 years was 6 weeks post partum at 172. I've gotten to 180 twice. The last year, I never get lower than 189.
My challenges are three kids, one child high needs with challenging behaviour, working full time, and I'm a major stress eater.
For December, my only goal was regular exercise and I did exercise 80% of the time. I've been out of routine with Christmas but my goal is to get back to it tomorrow.

I joined this challenge in 2017 with a goal of losing 40#. I lost 30! In 2018 I have not lost, but I did maintain until the past couple of months when I did lot of travel and gained 10#. I try to post on Sat but will start this challenge with today's numbers.

I would love to join this challenge! I was doing great before summer vacation and since then I've completely been off the rails. I'm feeling the "over 40" weight loss battle. It really is tough, but I am determined to take back control over my eating habits, exercise, and overall health by tracking and being accountable to others.
Got a new smartwatch for Christmas so I'm excited to use Google Fit!
