Just ate an entire bag of broccoli

I’ve been super hungry and today was super stressful.. but I didn’t want to turn to anything fattening, so I just polished off an entire big bag of broccoli florets. Will this cause me to bloat or gain weight? Or should it just go right through me?

Please talk to your therapist. Hugs21

Might give you gas.
You'd benefit from better coping strategies and a better relationship with food. Are you having any Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?13 -
Given the other replies I'll suggest you follow their advice.3

You won't gain weight!4

I’d sit back, think about what caused the high stress of today and journal other options (other than eating), to help minimize and bring the anxiety down.
*cardio (I like this due to learning to catch a groove, having to get your breathing just right)
* take deep breathes in and out, count to ten.
* Soak in a bath
* Take a walk
* Listen to music
* Journal
* Download and insight timer app on your phone, listen to meditation relaxation exercises.
* Read
*call a friend
*gain a hobby

I doubt anything will happen long term from a bunch of broccoli.
Did you log it? Did you eat 3,500 calories over your maintenance calories?
Did you dump salt or butter all over your broccoli?
Were you super hungry because you have been very restrictive or eating too low calorie lately?
Maybe work on your coping tools instead of using food for stress management in future.

OP, I'm afraid you are continuing to post hoping you will get ideas from posters who aren't aware of your history. This is a dangerous game. Please listen to your dietitian, take a break from MFP, and get back in touch with a therapist that specializes in EDs.20

I just got my period a few minutes ago which shows I’m fine. My anxiety is just really bad right now
Getting your period has nothing to do with your frame of mind. The fact that you stress ate an entire bag of broccoli and are mentally tallying calories and describing yourself as anxious is far more important.
Seriously, I don't actually know you and I am probably going to have trouble falling asleep tonite worrying about you. Eating disorders are about how you think, not whether or not you are thin or still capable of menstruating. You need to take this seriously and talk to professional.17 -

Dammit there’s 100 calories in all that broccoli guess I really need to burn all that off at the gym today. I’ll go an extra 15 minutes on the treadmill (so an hour instead of 45 minutes)
Are you asking for advice, or just trolling the people trying to help you? It seems you are continuously posting new threads that show an escalating pattern of disordered behavior, and ignoring any advice to work with your dietician. What are you really looking for here?14 -

I don’t know what I’m really looking for. All I know is I’m just really overwhelmed and frustrated and upset with myself. It’s truly exhausting being in my brain. If it’s exhausting seeing the threads I post, imagine what it must be like being in my brain. I miss feeling okay in my body and okay with myself.
You need a mental health professional. You need to see a professional who is specifically trained to handle anxiety and eating disorders. Nobody here can give you the insights and coping strategies a therapist can.
ETA I know what it feels like to be exhausted inside your own brain, I used to have horrible anxiety that derailed several relationships and negatively impacted a lot of other things. Therapy saved my life. It may take a few tries to find someone you click with but it is worth the time and effort.9 -

You need to step back. The relief you are seeking is not going to happen while you are working against your professionals.6 -

Then you really need to take a break from the internet and get an immediate appointment with your RD. You may need a referral to a therapist with expertise in eating disorders. Continuing down your current path is only going to make you more sick and miserable.3 -

^^^This, and probably while your back is turned, so that you don't know the number.
And stay off this site for a while. Breaking the habit might be a challenge, but you need to do something different to get different results.8 -
My husband just wanted to weigh me right now (I don’t get men...) and he told me I stayed exactly the same as 2 weeks ago which is not okay. He didn’t listen to me when I asked to be weighed in the morning instead and not tonight after I just started my period and ate all that broccoli and drank a bunch of water. He doesn’t understand what I’m freaking out about... I’m just so mad I’m not losing weight and i’m “overweight” as per my BMI and nobody seems to care except me. It’s exhausting and so frustrating and I can’t take this anymore.
Your husband physically picked you up and put you on the scale and stopped you moving?
If not, you could have just said no.
While he is obviously trying to help, he has no qualifications in dealing with an eating disorder8 -

Nobody's progress is going to be derailed by 100 calories.
If you really like broccoli eat lots of them (as long as it doesnt make you fart too much)
However doesnt sound like you enjoyed them and sounds like there is more to the back story that I am unaware of.
