I'm not sure where the line is between good subject matter and a good photo, but here's what I've got...

Quality might be crap,I stole them from my own FB page, but these are some of my favs from our Alaska trip in 2017. Using my D7000 and Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8, I don't ever lug my camera any more on trips, I like to enjoy just being where I am. I do need to get back into taking photos for enjoyment though. I miss that

    Hows the tamron lens?

I want the 70-200 2.8 L lens so badly for my canon but i cant justify spending 2k+ on it

Not sure if the 3rd party versions are worth it

Awesome pics btw. Love the eagle

    Thank you!

Its a work horse, I purchased it new for around $800 bucks in 2014 and its never let me down, I've taken hundreds of beautiful portraits and decent sports shots with it in the past. I am looking to upgrade my gear this season to the D810 and will probably purchase the VC version.

I would love the Nikon version, but my small side business has thrived over the last 10 years and this lens did its job every time, so I don't feel the need to go for the Nikon lens.

    Some samples...if that helps. :)

All gorgeous pics. Hmmm. Now i may need to treat myself

Have u ever considered the sigma equivalent before going with the tamron?

I have the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 ....I'll throw it on for Christmas snap shots and stuff like that or when I need a bit wider, but its slow and not that great in low light. So I don't use it often and usually I just use my iphone for holidays and vacations now.

Thanks! The first one is what Disney based Sleeping Beauty & Cinderella castles on. We did a tour there, they wouldn't allow indoor photography unfortunately, but it was splendid. The other two were random drive bys, it's amazing how many castles there still are all over Europe.

We are just starting to plan our 25th wedding anniversary trip for next year to Europe, it will be our first time. I will take my gear for that trip! Castles here I come...lol.
