Green book
Viggo Mortensen as Tony Lip and
Mahershala Ali as Don Shirley were a surprising comedic duo. As a black woman watching the retelling of the maestro's story, highlighting the divide and blatant racism outside the Tri-State area was unnerving. Coming from the only Green book exposure being that of Gaddafi's, seeing that the African American/black/coloured Travel Guide in the South was also called a Green book was eye opening. The juxtaposition of the classically trained black man with money, finesse and refinement, as opposed to the Bronx multi-generational working class Italian man was refreshing.
Absolutely loved this movie.
