I use to use myfitnesspal a few years ago. Been off of it for awhile trying to get back into the swing of things. My question is I was trying to add food to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Simple things like toast (bread), spaghetti, chicken cant be found in the data base. Do I need to these simple thing now? It seems when I was using this before lots of things came up. I was able to find eggs but had to type Fried eggs. Eggs by themselves did not produce any results. Let me know if I am doing something wrong.

If you're doing something wrong, it isn't obvious what it is, from that limited description. If you put "eggs" in the search box, then search, you should get all kinds of entries showing up (they're there).
If you're using a phone app, it will automagically search your recent foods first, then maybe give you a message that it isn't there, but also give you an option saying something like "search all foods". If it does, click on that "search all foods" thing. (Since you've been gone a while, you may not have recent foods.)

Search isn't working on PC or mobile app. Not cool man!1

I just read under their technical support area that this issue started on January 7th and it is putting a large portion of Users in “offline mode”
They say they are working to fix it.
If you search for that error on Google, you get several comments popping up from January of 2017 and January of 2018... it seems to be a yearly occurrence. Hopefully they fix it quick 😡1 -
Same issue...driving me nuts! Close app and reopen and sometimes it will let me search but now it’s late and I’m frustrated. Not a good start getting back at it.1

I don't know if that was a typo or if you did it on purpose, but this is now my new favorite word.
