Tonight I did the elliptical for 60 minutes and when my feet started going numb, I lifted my foot at the top of the rotation - that actually helped. Maybe try that?0

I spoke to a trainer today and as said before it is a normal thing. She said when they start going numb just take a break from it do something else then come back and finish .0

I agree! going backwards relieves the numbness. I try and do 10 min forward and 10 back and so on. i also find the more you use the elliptical the less your feet will feel numb.This has not happened to me, but intrigued me nonetheless. Notice that when you are going foreward, your toes actually scrunch up as they dig in for more power. The tops of your toes many times are pressed tightly against the tops of your sneakers. Not so when in reverse pedal. This action and added pressure may be actually causing the numbness. Not sure, though...what do you think? Hey, give it a try tonight!
