I will keep logging and if I do that I think it will help me stay on track and when I slip I will try to let it go to get myself back on track quickly0

It's the short cold gray days and long dark winter nights that makes me want comfort foods. I tried to maintain Oct-Dec but gained some, so back to strict living and losing again0

It's a mindset that gets me trough most holidays. Not saying I'm perfect because I did have a piece of cake last week for my 50th B-day. Unfortunately I felt like crap that evening...
I never say "I'm on a diet" because that implies I will be off of it some-day to gain the weight back...

I had this experience recently after eating a piece of cake. I’m glad, in a way, as it is a reminder of how much healthier I eat now!0 -
With chocolate-heavy holidays, I like to portion what I get into 100 cal baggies using a food scale, and eat one or two per day instead of other snacks I usually have.2

Wow - I hope this never happens to me. I like cake. I don't eat it every day or even every week, but I want to enjoy it when I do. The sugar, grain, dairy and eggs don't really affect me differently than they do when I get them in other foods. Sure, the sugar is more concentrated but I am not diabetic.
I eat reasonably healthy; get enough protein, heavy on carbs but not too little fat to be unhealthy. I eat a lot of fruits and veggies. There is room in my diet for some treats and I am glad I still enjoy them.
Down over 70 pounds and in maintenance over 10 months. I started maintenance down a little over 60 but keep drifting lower. Maybe I need to eat more cake...6 -
OP, since I really like junk food I fit in a Klondike ice cream bar to my measly 1200 calories. It’s chocolate covered, 250 cal, and filling. I can’t have cakes, cookies, candy, etc in the house, but can manage just one Klondike bar. If you find something like that, it will make life more enjoyable!5
