So there exists a theory that every decision you make creates two different realities. You decide to get cake, you branch off where you could have passed on the cake and gone a different thread. These are your parralel dimensions and they are infinite in quantity.
In this thread we make assumptions as to what our parallel dimension selves might be doing or have done!

I’m part of a flourishing small press and artist cooperative and have collaborated on a book of illustrated poems. Also in this dimension people like poetry.
Is this a parallel thing or a current dimension thing?0 -

In a parallel dimension, the TV series Archer is real and I appear as a new animated guest star every week. After three seasons I finally manage to land a recurring role and end up in an on-again off-again love triangle with Pam and Malory. Unfortunately Krieger somehow puts my mind in the the body of an ocelot.7

Is it truly better?! Even drastic changes in life will not make you feel happier unless you were happy to begin with. Maybe life would be more comfortable, but unless you were happy previously you will continue to feel lousy. Only difference will be the reasonings.
In most cases, I'd say yes. If you aren't happy to begin with, more/better distractions mask the unhappiness better. IME.0 -
