This is my favorite Pioneer Woman recipe: https://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/beef-stroganoff/. It's a family favorite.
Hmmmm. I was gonna do meatloaf on Saturday, but maybe I'll go stroganoff.7 -

Tsk tsk tsk. How dare you teach him moderation and balancing eating with activity!2 -
Simple solution - don't watch it.3

Just because you choose to count calories, or live a "healthy lifestyle" does not mean that the rest of the world needs live within your means. Also, there are plenty of people that lose weight, and are eating junk. Her kids are getting real food.9

She is entertaining me...I don't cook like Guy or Alton or Ina....or eat what they cook....I just watch the tv show...2

you must be somewhat new to these forums if you want the negative posts towards you to stop you would have to simply delete the entire thread. I get you though and sorry for what you are now dealing w.
OP expressed an opinion, some people disagree. Why try to fan this into further drama?

Late to the party but Ree lives on a working farm with her family, and all her kids have farm chores. And the boys play sports. I imagine they're all just fine in terms of health.6
-
I make a lot of her recipes...nobody in my family is overweight. Also, not sure what planet you live on where you'd think any of her kids are overweight.

sometimes i tweak her recipes to make them fit in my calorie budget.5 -

And they work on a ranch and play sports...pretty sure they're living a healthy lifestyle.
Also, "calorie laden" is subjective. I used to work landscape construction and play sports...I ate everything I could and still had a hard time keeping weight on.7 -

Not enough. As penance, you must drink one cup of apple cider vinegar. Not only will it teach you to be less judgmental, it will reboot your metabolism.12 -

I do have to say that this show annoys the CRAP out of me. “Let’s make a special lunch for the men, who are working hard out in the field.” Is it 1950? I’d let them make their own damn lunch. Maybe she should grab a pitchfork and help out in the field, too.25

She does help on the farm. Nothing wrong with treating the men in your life. 🙄15 -

Now I want some. With bacon. Maybe a side of hot dog.
I'm 140 pounds, 5'7".
Is that okay to eat???????
You know what’s awesome? When you sautée the bacon first, and use the rendered fat for the roux for the cheese sauce.
That is totally how I make my homemade Mac and cheese. Make ultra crispy (but not burned bacon), then make the roux right in the bacon fat.
You know what? My lean, healthy, active kids love that *kitten*.6 -

To each their own- I wake up early to make my husband breakfast and always have a meal on the table when he gets home from work. Happily married for over 16 years now....21 -

Yeah it just seems like everything is “the boys will love this extra cheese...” etc. Every show! Like the only reason for a woman to cook is to please the men. Plus I just don’t like cheerful people.13 -

She found a niche and targets her audience, that's all. Don't let the just plain folks thing fool you, either. They are well off and have been since way before her blog and subsequent TV show took off. They have plenty of help around the ranch!7
