I have yo-yo'd for almost 2 years this is the longest I have kept the weight off. Highest was well over 200+ pounds and as of this morning I'm 159. For the last two weeks I have yo-yo'd between 170 and 160. I need some kind of advice on what to do different. Goal weight is 145. But that makes really no difference to me I just want to look and feel healthy. I go hard on a treadmill everyday for about 60mins or more at a high incline. Sometimes I run at a incline of 4 but most of the time I walk fast at 8-10. I don't stop until my hoodie is soaked. Having a hard time with eating the recommended cals per day most of the time I eat 1000 or less. However, the app factors in the cals burned at the gym and I can't seem to eat what it's telling me to. I am suppose to be getting 1300. I am in need of some kind of advice on eating. I do some other things at the gym but mostly just the treadmill all other exercises I do at home with my daughters (they enjoy doing them with me) Thanks.

Do you use a food scale, weighing and logging everything honestly, no skipping, cheating or forgetting? If no, start there.

    Do you weigh your food?

Okay apparently my comment didn't go through. I eat one actual meal a day. Breakfast is always a protein bar or shake. Lunch can be my one real meal or shake depending on work. Supper can be my real meal or shake or bar depending. I love plain boiled chicken and boiled egg whites. I never get enough protien so I try to eat those two things every real meal. No sodas in our house. On date night, however, which is once every two weeks I get a diet coke. Diet coke is my favorite. I measure out my greens in cups. I try to go for things that are high in fiber I have issues in that dept. On date night I do portion control as much as possible and stay away from bread. My shake is High protein slim fast (only one that doesn't make me want to throwup) protein bar is cookie dough blance bar. Snacks Peanut or peanut butter (rarely) just to get my cal count up. Kiwi's/apples/pinapples are my go to snacks.

May I congratulate you on achieving the loss you have and inconvenient as it might be, managing to stay under 170 lb.

I too wonder if you are using a scale, I generally use ounces for baking etc but for weight loss it has to be grams. I hope you will discover you are eating in excess of 1000 calories a day, eating less will create health problems in later life, if my experience is anything to go by. Even 1300 probably does not take the exercise you are doing into account particularly if you are taller. Please, weigh all your foods and know the calorific values, of the portions you allocate to yourself. I suggest you do this for a month to discover your actual regime. There is a discussion, "finding your way to sexy pants", I do not have the link to it, some say it is incredibly useful.

I hope you will put your height and weight into the mfp calculate for you part of the app along with an accurate assessment of your activity levels. Having two little girls at home with you will increase your activity. I judge this by my afternoons with a 14 month old gg son, who tries to run rings round us.

If you find you are actually eating this low may I suggest you seek medical advice because we can teach ourselves to eat less than we need which simply is not healthy and you need as you have said, need to be healthy for yourself and your family. When you present your accumulated information to your doctor this should prompt some proper support for you.

Wishing you well and one day you will be the weight you wish

5'4 and 3 daughters actually. 😊 I was happy to see the scale finally break from the 60s today! Haven't been 159 since before my oldest. It has just taken so very long to finally get past the 60s I am worried tomorrow will be different. Weight loss has mainly been in my thighs and belly area. My cup size is still DDD just 36 instead of 38. God forbid I lose cup sizes..it's to a point now my back has gotten worse. Not to mention I look disproportionate.
