I was in a restaurant last night, talking to someone about gravy (of all things). I mentioned that I can't eat onion gravy any more as the onion upsets my stomach and added that I must be getting old.
The woman looked at me and said, "What? Old? You're kidding, look at you, you're completely wrinkle free!". I am no spring chicken and I do have a few wrinkles - I thought more since I'd lost some weight, as the fat no longer acts like wrinkle-filler and I definitely have the "family" bags under my eyes these days. Clearly I am far too critical of my own appearance.
One of the nicest compliments I've received since starting my journey. I walked on air for the rest of the evening.33 -

I LOVE this!!! My 2.5yo daughter is the same, says i'm exercising and tries to join in with me (she's still a little young so loses interest quickly haha!). I love that we're teaching our little ones to be healthy21 -
My daughter and were doing a few selfies at the weekend, I didn't have any extra chins!32

I fell off the wagon pretty hard over the weekend but alas, here I am! That is a huge accomplishment for me! I didn't beat myself up or give up entirely like I would have even a month ago! I'm here for the long haul30

Felt confident enough to push myself a little last night and it turned out I could OHP more than I thought—by 15lbs! That lift hasn’t moved in forever, but now I’m just 5lbs away from half my body weight.26

Since I got a little extra rest today, I hope to have better performance tomorrow.
Made myself get up and workout this morning. The sleep in from yesterday was totally worth it. I killed my run this morning! There were 3 5 minute runs in todays C25K workout, and I did each one without feeling like I was gonna die.30 -
Last month I got my younger sister to start going to the gym with me and lifting weights. She's always been more athletic but I was so happy to inspire her to start lifting weights. Also, she's now trying to bring her friends into the gym as well.22

Walked 14 km today! 😊20

Logged 900 days. Plus week 5 of gym 3-4 times a week doing classes and C25K, ran 3 mins at a time today, and felt good 😁28

Maybe (and likely) my maths is off, but you weigh 40 pounds??

There isn't enough information in her post to calculate her weight.
She pressed 15 pounds more than she thought she could and she is now 5 pounds away from her goal.
100 pounds lifted 45 and another 5 pounds she is half way.
Or 200 pounds lifted 145 and she is 5 pounds away from her goal.8 -
See, terrible maths! I read that as the OHP was 15 pounds! It's been a long day...
Big jump in PB, well done!!6 -

Being able to wear size 32 Jean's. I was once a size 38.27

I arrived to the gym early for my zumba class and, instead of just wait for it playing on my mobile or chatting, I used an elliptical machine. It was only 10 minutes, but a year ago I wouldn't even have dreamt of doing it.28

As of today I feel confident in an outfit that I never thought I’d wear publicly. 💕😭26

On my way from admin back to my clinic this morning I was starving and talked myself into driving right past my favorite burger in town in favor of the portion controlled lunch waiting for me at my destination.
Edit to add: I know there is nothing inherently bad about getting a burger, but I spent a lot of January just getting the burger and derailing my plan and loss.30 -
I got back on track after a month long hiatus!!!25

Working in the nursing field is amazing, we move and lift and squat. Really, it is great. Then someone brings in candy, donuts, or its a potluck day! Yesterday I was able to resist the donuts! I count that as a victory!31

Yesterday I (turtle pace!) jogged all the way to the grid and back for our bootcamp workout. First time ever! My friend turned her distance counter on her watch on at the start of it and by the time we got back it had just hit 1km. 😁 Bootcanp was pretty successful too, didn't feel like I was going to die. Having said that, our instructor hasn't ramped up the intensity yet with us all back from a 6 week break and needing to build fitness, plus I think he doesn't want to scare the newbies off too soon 🤣
This morning I got up and went for my walk/jog. W3d1 of c25k again today. It was super slow today, my focus was just on getting through it this morning. I've had a few mornings off, so it felt good to be back into it. As a result, I hit 6000 steps before starting work this morning 😁
Still no riding, the paddock is nice and boggy from the beautiful rain we have received so I'm definitely not complaining. The rain is meant to be clearing today, so after a couple of days of sunshine I should be right to ride again. I have definitely missed it, but have enjoyed the reason that I haven't been able to!12 -
I just managed couch25k week 5, run 3! I ran for 20 minutes!!! Unbelievable 5 weeks ago!!!!!!
I still can't quite believe it.24 -
I'm always tugging my underwear up.
My wife bought me new ones, size large and they fit. The old ones are 2x. No wonder they fall down.
Same story with my pajamas, went from a 2x to large. I can't remember the last time I wore a size large anything.
One day I WILL wear a medium.30 -
My reticent dad commented on my weight loss! The other day he met me in a parking lot to help with car issues. He said he didn’t even recognize me because he’s not used to seeing me in a smaller size.22

I feel the same way in the teaching profession! I’m often on the floor with little ones and as a non classroom teacher I walk all over the school. But despite being a “healthy school” and not allowing sweets for kid celebrations, we continue to flood the teachers lounge with sugar.10 -
Today I set a new PR for deadlifting and did a pull up from standing. Soon I will be doing them from hanging. I am stronger every day!!17

Didnt expect anything good from my run yesterday, but ran my fastest 2.5 consecutive miles with my FIRST EVER negative split!
I haven't really ran since October, so to work back up from January to now feels great. Training for a 5k in March, and then the great 10k training begins!
AND I wore a tank top to the gym!
AND my beautiful goal jeans (Michael Kors, new with tags, 20bucks on thredup) fit for the first time! I've had them for months. The scale will not budge, but my butt and I are going places.36 -
I have a few:
-I have been told that I am unrecognizable.
-1 have been running, even when is is -31C (without the wind!)
-I did a 14 km long run last weekend (the longest I've ran in 9 years).
-My tiny, beautiful friend suggested I borrow clothes from her for my upcoming vacation
-A friend asked me if I'm going to sport a bikini on the trip (nope!)
-My teen aged daughter told me I'm in great shape

Yesterday morning, as I was doing BodyPump, I thought to myself 'wow, for some reason I'm looking great this morning'.
After the class, the instructor came up to me to tell me I was looking great.
The freakin' fitness instructor thinks I look great. Let me tell you I am feeling insufferably good about myself right now.39
