40g steel cut oats
1 Tbsp Peanut butter
1 Tbsp Jam or preserves
(I got the idea from somebody on mfp, and since then, any other flavor just pales in comparison)6 -
Oatmeal hack for busy lives: fill 7 disposable coffee cups (or reusable) with oatmeal, dried fruit, cinnamon, or anything that doesn’t go bad outside of the fridge, in the morning I just add hot water and honey and take it to go! You can add fresh fruit or yogurt in the morning too. I can put it in my cup holder, hold it with 1 hand, comes with a lid, cheaper than those single use oatmeal cups at the grocery store, sometimes I eat it while walking to my 8am class. I even put a spoon in the cup with the handle sticking out of the lid hole so the lid still closes. It’s an easy breakfast!8

I have many small meals throughout the day. Thus my breakfast isn't big either.
40gr oats
8gr raisins
88gr skyr
about 30-40kcal of whatever fruit is available at work.
I mix the raisins, oats and skyr either in the evening or morning. Perfect for me as it's fairly stiff as opposed to liquid, and I prefer cold breakfasts.1 -

I like two different "oatmeal breakfasts"
1/2 cup quick oats with 1 tbsp. peanut butter and 1/2 tbsp. jam (usually strawberry). About 250 cal.
1/4 cup steel cut oats - I cook 1 cup at a time soaked overnight in 1:3 almond milk & water then cooked with cinnamon & salt...brown sugar, dried cranberries & vanilla added toward the end.
Usually garnish with pecan halves & a drizzle of sugar free syrup.
Around 320 cal, depending on amounts of everything added to the oats.2 -
Just one of the Quaker Oatmeal Fruit and Cream Oatmeal packets. 130 calories which is plenty for breakfast.1

40g quick oats and 11g Ovaltine, because chocolate. 190 calories.5

I love oatmeal!
When I have time I love making baked banana oatmeal: http://www.createnourishlove.com/2015/05/20/oven-baked-oatmeal-for-one/ Haven't done it for ages so I should soon! I sometimes add chocolate chips.
More traditionally i do 40g oats, fruit (combination of half a banana with either frozen cherries, blueberries, apple, etc), cook with almond milk. Stir in some brownie protein powder, some PB2. Sometimes some yoghurt or skyr if it's in the fridge. Calories vary, depending, but it's usually around 300.2 -

I agree! I wanted a pb&j sandwich one day and thought of making it in oatmeal form. It’s so good! I use PB2 and stevia sometimes instead of real PB.

1/4-1/2 cup oats
1 mashed banana
As much apple pie spice as you'd like
Some walnuts
(Microwaved)
Usually under 300 calories and the only recipe I've found where I wasn't missing added sugars. To add a vegetable element, I'll pop in a couple tablespoons of sweet potato too (I keep it in the freezer, parceled out in individual 2 tbl servings)0 -
Steel cut oats (pre-packaged 150 calories)
frozen berries (often cherry berry mix)
lots of ceylon cinnamon
I make it the night before and put in the fridge overnight.
Mix in some plain greek yogurt right before eating (I eat it cold).0 -

In your world, it might be. In my world, nice little snack.
For me, I hate eating a ton of calories so I try to eat as little as I can. To each their own.1 -
